I wish the pirate didn't feel so mailed in. I'll get it anyway, but doesn't look nearly as well done as the viking.  Couldn’t agree more. That’s why I’m hoping the turtle shows up in the BaM towers eventually.Â

March 3, 20204 yr So, given that Series 20 will be officially hitting shelves within a month from now, could we see official images some time this week, if not today?Â

I will not pay the new price tag, but as proven with the DC series, I do not need to. I will get multiples of the Viking and Knight, and probably a few Pirate and Power Ranger too. This is what Historical fans have these days, and I'm going to savour it.

I swear I still can't wrap my mind about this series pricing.Â

I assume they needed to put the turtle (and drone for that matter) in a CMF line to justify the mold, but yes, turtle could have totally been a BAM addition and didn't need to take a coveted spot in the CMF line. I also find myself hoping for more BAM exclusive figures (average of $3.5 per figure) and a lot less excited about paying $5 per CMF.

I’m pretty excited for series 20...just not sure how many I’ll get as the $5 is a big turn off. I hope they keep making these fantastic exclusive prints for the BaM towers, I’m loving them.Â
March 8, 20204 yr With the release date apparently April 1st I’m surprised we haven’t gotten any official promotional pictures of series 20 yet.Â
March 8, 20204 yr I'd pay $5 for most of @Robert8's CMF, but most of Series 20 seems like $3 figures at best. Maybe the Viking is worth it.

I believe that expression is supposed to be an exertion grimace, as in the face she makes when throwing. I think it has been reported that she has dual face printing.

March 13, 20204 yr Author I'm starting to wonder if coronavirus will affect the release of this series. Things are looking pretty bleak right now in Europe And the fact that they havent posted the official pics on social media yet is starting to be suspicious...
March 13, 20204 yr It could. I have read it "only" survives 6 days on surfaces. If that's true, leaving a container in a hall for a weak without touching it should reduce the risk to zero. But if ... let's say "someone" ... posts on facebook things like "lego sells DEADLY stuff to your children for profit!!! Share if you want to burn these monsters!!!!" often enough it will do a damage to the brand and we know there are such persons out there. In Lego's position I'd simply avoid that problem by releasing the series later. The other possible problem i see is when countries close their borders for ships from China but to be honest i can't see that happen in Europe.

You’ve made a really good point here. The very nature of CMF is rifling through the display boxes, feeling the bags etc., instead of simply grabbing a boxed item off a shelf. These could be seen as a potential spread of the virus?
March 13, 20204 yr Author Yeah feeling the bags might be... not the best idea right now. If the person before you has it....Â

March 13, 20204 yr From a production standpoint, I would have said LEGO would be largely unaffected, at least until the situation in Europe materialized. I follow other toy/collectible lines, and there have already been delay announcements. I'm not so much concerned about Corona living on surfaces, giving general shipping times and as I keep hand sanitizer in the car, plus I can spray bags down with disinfectant at the house. Gonna be an interesting year. Â Â Edited March 13, 20204 yr by K_Tiger
March 13, 20204 yr Or you could just put on rubber gloves. as if an adult standing in a toy aisle feeling small plastic bags isn’t already odd
