LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 20. Rumors and discussion

So has this series been released already? I'm seeing a few people getting them in US stores, but the only release date I can see if 19th April; so are these stores like Target just releasing them early?

I picked up a box at target, on the shelf but untouched. Can’t say I am actively shopping right now to know how many stores have them out as this was an accidental purchase of sorts.

I just received mine today, in the renders from Lego the shield does look like a different shade than the torso, but in person I can't tell the difference. They both look like the latter, bright-light orange to me.

Found the remains of a box at a Los Angeles Walmart today. Only 21 left so I bought them all, sprayed them down with Lysol upon getting home, and much to my surprise I ended up with a full set. I wonder if Walmart will take the others back. If not, to the neighbor kid they go!

All of this is making me restless to get some 

most of the stores in my area aren’t allowing customers for stuff like this and I’d be nervous to feel up bags anyway.

I’m not even sure as I haven’t tried my luck going to store lately. I did drive by a Target yesterday with the intention of going in, but the line was pretty long & I didn’t want to stand in it all that time only to get in & realize they didn’t have them yet or I couldn’t get to them. I definitely didn’t plan on feeling the bags, was just gonna grab a few & hope for the best.

I found two, and only two, in my local Wal-mart today. Got the Knight and the Drone Kid. The Knight has a good head print, much better than I realized, so I'm pleased about that. Despite looking everywhere in the aisle, and in nearby other aisles, I could find no additional bags. Sigh! Let the hunt commence!

Walmart was open on Easter morning so I popped in and found an unopened box on the shelf to sort through. Easily picked out the 13/16 that I wanted. I don’t really pay attention to the prices of the CMF but was pleasantly surprised to see it ring up as $3.44 after seeing the SRP is $5.

Lucky. I'd love to get these at $3.44 each. However I am risk averse so I don't think I'll be heading to Walmart for a couple of months! I'll probably just wait for these to fetch a reasonable price on eBay.

They did that with the DC series as well. Kinda weird, as I don’t remember that kind of discount on previous series’.

That seems like the smartest thing to do now, no feeling just go. However with many still believing its all just a 'fake news 5g harmless flu' conspiracy then there's a good chance that any opened box of these will have already been heavily groped by those not likely to be practicing hygiene and sanitation.

Could also wait until they're available on shop at home and just order a bunch crossing [washed] fingers.

That’s not a big problem, I assume, for where I bought. The Target I went to has them on a hook up front by the checkout, in the impulse buy section. But yeah, even if they had them in a box as they come, I still would’ve just grabbed. I wasn’t too concerned about getting them, I was just feeling an urge for some new LEGO & made the trip quick as I could. Once this gets better & stores are confidently back to normal, I’ll go back to hunting for the others I want. 

Plus, I’m an early riser who likes the get to stores when they open. I’ve been buying my CMF’s at Barnes & Noble. The plan is to hopefully hear the day they plan on opening back up, get there at opening & go straight to the box.

Anyone know the release date for Series 20 in Australia? I am finding conflicting information about release dates and its hard to know what's accurate...

I have a report that these are now available at the Dreamworld LEGO store here in Australia (being a LEGO Certified Store its not covered by the LEGO corporate decision to close all official company the stores, its not covered by any government shutdown orders and the owners of the store have decided to remain open at this time).

I found some at my local Target yesterday--full price, but I picked up a handful anyway. The good news is that they didn't appear to have been manhandled by bag-squeezers (which I find annoying in the best of circumstances, but would be an especial jerk move right now). I got some of the ones I wanted and some I wasn't interested in, but they haven't been added to Bricklink yet so I can't put the latter in my shop.

Saw a picked-over case at one of the area Walmarts yesterday. I've got my eye on other stuff, but the temptation was real. Good ol' Walmart price of $3.44. They also dumped a TON of Disney S.2 in those cardboard displays of various toys they've got out on display currently.

Not the parts, but the figs are there now I added some of them to the wanted list this morning

Thanks for the info! I was looking under the Minifig list instead of at the complete sets with the base and accessories.

Same with my Walmart. I don’t know if they over stocked or series 19 and 20 were more appealing 

they skipped The DC series I think
