That piece is awesome. I hope it turns out in a series because otherwise I will feel compelled to get the version in the Chinese set by virtue of being a new costumed figure.

I was thinking exactly the same thing: mouse costume guy/girl in light bley with pink ear printing - possibly with a new tail piece.

That might be too similar to the one character that appeared in the Simpsons series 1 minifigures.

I don‘t think that most people will just buy the set for the rat-costume. Ninjago City/Docks has shown that people just like the design elements of the east asian culture. And the complains about the exclusivity of the wave last year made Lego even to change their guidelines for the regional exclusives. 
 

I think a rodent costume of some kind will show up in S20, which will release 5 months after the CNY set.

The tree-trunk has been in a city set, but not a CMF yet.. Lego knows the costumes is popular so I would not be surprised if they include some in other sets that they not necessarily use in the CMF before or after

Sounds evil toward collectors... i guess that means it will probably happen?

If it isn't in the cmf 20 i am going to bricklink it and print a torso. As long as the headmould is avaiable for a reasonable price i am fine with that? and the price of 99,99€ in Europe will make enough people buy the Set for the bricks and resell the figures ?

You can probably get it from Bricks & Pieces also

I would think that they would wait until a miniature elephant mold gets made to reuse that costume head mold.

Images have been released for the Hidden Side theme's second wave, introducing two new headgear molds for its heroes that maybe could be recolored for future CMF archetypes? I know they'd likely be just utilized for modern "City" archetypes, but hey...

I don’t see it as likely because last season hidden side’s molds were pretty isolated so I expect these to be as well.

Both Jack’s cap/hood piece and Parker’s hair/hat piece have been reused in sets for 2020 (Ninjago and Chinese New Year, respectively), so a recoloured appearance of one of the new pieces in the CMF line is a reasonable possibility.

Jack's new backwards cap/hairpiece could be easily reused for some stereotypical '90s archetype...

Hopefully that means the new long hair+headphones piece will lead to a female gamer - somewhat overdue at this point in my opinion.

I was rather surprised Series 19's Gamer CMF wasn't such...  ...but hey, good call on that hair+headphones piece! My first thought was for it to be reused for a Female DJ CMF instead, but the Gamer suggestion would be much more apt for that piece.

I'm not sure of this is already common knowledge at this point, but I saw the new DC series in my Lego shop in the UK this evening and they're £3.49, not the usual £3.

I paid $3.44 at one of the area Walmarts a few days back. It would seem that reports of a price increase in the States were unfounded, at least for now.

Here's a thought - Disney, Simpsons, Harry Potter & DC are all licensed properties that have their own minifigure series, whereas the Lego Movie 2 had 3 figures from a licensed theme included in it's 20.

Any chance series 20 could be made up of smaller licenses that couldn't justify their own series?

Lego movie more or less count as a licensed series, the same goes for the other Lego movie series like ninjago and batman.. So I would say the chance is not happening, luckily It would be a sad day if the regular CMF end up like a lot of dimensions packs put together
