efferman Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 The Printed Bucket fits without changes at the boom. Could get only a bit more angle Quote

efferman Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 (edited) Yeah, the instruction for the full excavator will take some time edit: Edited November 9, 2019 by efferman Quote
Metagross555 Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Who/where do you go to get your amazing custom parts printed, I wanted to order some, like that bucket but don't have a 3d printer Quote
efferman Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 The place is called shapeways, but you have to know that this is a expensive place. https://www.shapeways.com/product/L4K4Z5TKS/backhoe-bucket-for-42100?optionId=129028622&li=user-profile I guess the setting of stick and bucket was to much oriented on speed Quote
The Southern Brickfan Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 That looks so good!! great comparison video too :) Well done! Quote
efferman Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) Now the Hard Part with the Tracks edit: Edited November 14, 2019 by efferman Quote
agrof Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) I like the standard excavator arm a lot, but for me it was much better with the brick built bucket. The 3D printed one just sticks out way too much of the overall Technic picture. Keep up with the great MOD, impressive work so far! Edited November 14, 2019 by agrof Quote

rekreK Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 53 minutes ago, efferman said: yes, from ground to the roof Perfect, I will keep my kit together for a bit longer and wait for your 'B' model. But I guess it won't be called a B model, since it has many new parts, so a modification(MOC) of 42100 Quote

I dare say that’s because the bucket’s white and not dark grey Quote
Richombx Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Will there just be a parts list and instructions for the backhoe boom?, I have already ordered your bucket from shapeways so I can’t wait to do the new boom Quote

So a instruction for only the boom makes not much Sense in my eyes. but when you can manage this by yourself..... Quote
Richombx Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Ok, I can’t see myself really wanting to dig and really do hard work with it enough to be rebuilding the whole machine . I’m just keen to have the backhoe setup as it’s what we have here Quote
Philo Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 A note to people wanting to document their 42100 modifications: all the specific new parts are now available in LDraw format (linear clutch, long LA and bucket ). Of course Control+ motors and hub are available too. Quote

Richombx Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I wouldn’t know sorry, I guess I just need to know what parts I need to order. I’ve seen what you have done for the mod face shovel boom and that is a fantastic set of instructions on rebrickable Quote
efferman Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 hm, this would make two sets of instructions neccessary. Had thought to use the xl for the Bucket stick and two L for Raising the boom to avoid extra costs in buying electrics. Let me think about it. Quote
Richombx Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I guess I’m happy to wait for the complete instructions even though I’d only just use the backhoe section to start. Would you itemize the part needed per section your modifying so just what ever section you choose to use could be ordered? Quote
efferman Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 good news, the L And the XL are fitting both without changes on the structure, so the instruction would work for both. Quote
Richombx Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 I really think you’ve done a incredible job with modifying this kit so well and so quick. Quote
