Posted October 6, 20195 yr Good (random time) everyone! I was fascinated by the 42100. So, as I still haven't got one, I've decided to make my own version, but a bit smaller... I came up with an idea of an extra small excavator with all possible functions on board. No RC this time, of course. Only manual controlling. The bucket was a hard thing to do. But this quarter-cylindrical piece and a rope served me really well. I tried to make it as close to the real set, as possible. All the pipes, railings and barrels were recreated in my replica. The mechanisms inside the haul are both simple to understand and hard to invent: First boom section is raised via small linear actuator placed inside superstructure The same LA lifts the second section Worm gear to turn the levers system which tilts the bucket The bucket can be opened by pulling the rope Big turntable supports the superstructure. I don't really know what else to say/write. So the video is at your service. This video is a bit humorous. I hope, you would like it. Thanks for watching! October 6, 20195 yr Ah man this is so cool, great job I hate to be impolite, but is there any chance at instructions or some more detailed photos in the near future? The breakaway view helped greatly, but there’s still bits scattered around I haven’t been able to figure out.

But it won't be any time soon :( So, meanwhile, it is an interesting challenge for you. If you can make the replica of my replica! May be you will improve my ideas. Good luck! / Удачи!

October 7, 20195 yr Ingenious little creation ! Great usage of parts. Video was entertaining and hilarious. Loved the point by point comparison with the bigger one
October 7, 20195 yr This looks really great! I think it would really be cool if a model like this would appear as a set. Maybe you can submit it for IDEAS?
October 7, 20195 yr We need more control - stuff. How about make 42099 small? Edited October 7, 20195 yr by msk6003
October 7, 20195 yr Just fantastic creation. If I may suggest, I would connect addtional stairs with some hinge directly between those bricks, so there is no gap.
October 7, 20195 yr Wow, great "little" excavator! The video is also nice to watch and funny. You need to create a miniature version of @efferman's dump truck now.
October 7, 20195 yr Woah, the details you were able to carry over into such a small model is amazing! I'm loving those linear actuators at the bucket arm.
October 7, 20195 yr Just watched the video, nicely done - I am also more of a Control- kind of guy XD
October 7, 20195 yr Well done, and in terms of controls and functions, very clever. You are just missing the "Liebherr" stickers in 1 point font!
October 8, 20195 yr ?? Looks great, but the icing on the cake is that you added all the functions. Very original and very well executed. I had for instance not expected a functioning bucket.
October 8, 20195 yr Great little build! Very good job at cramming 5 operated functions into such a small body. And smart use of parts to create all the shapes and especially that bucket.

Because you liked this mini-Liebherr so much, I decided to continue the "control -" line up, And the next one is already released: 42082 RTC mini-replica! I think, @Gray Gear would like this one. This crane has even more little functions inside. So, @johnnym and @msk6003 haven't guessed this "control -" thing, but may be next one will be one of their suggestions.. To find this out You can subscribe to my channel and stay tuned for updates. ;)
December 30, 20195 yr Indeed, its very cute So small, but so many functions, even a working engine, and of course the classic metal hook
