Same draining of battery on my MBP 2020...

it’s for me the first default of studio.LDD was smooth and better user friendly.

Is that 2020 MBP of yours using an Intel chip, or Apple's own M1? Just asking, as the latter is reportedly way more performant and efficient...

Personally, I have always used Stud.io, so I am not really concerned by the migration to 64-bit only.

However, out of curiosity, I have tried to run LDD on Crossover (which is a user-friendly frontend of Wine) a few months ago, and it was working well. It is a bit less easy to do than Parallels/VMware but at least it does not require a Windows license.

I used MLCad back in the day and never did much with LDD due to its limited parts selection. I like Studio a lot and have switched to that for any Lego cad modeling. The performance seems fine to me, I use it on an i7 surface pro 7 and a gaming PC.
