greg3 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 That is awesome!! I love the hull design, the masts and I especially the different turret design and the flight deck/catapults. Excellent work. Thanks for sharing!! Quote
neonic Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 (edited) Very cool. Like the whole thing. So many details on such a 'small' creation. I also like the color and all those tiny cannons. All those cannons pointing down gives at an ever more a idea of a flying cruiser. Great use of parts, very creative. Also great airplane Only the propellers looks a bit small? Hollander Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 This is a work of art. Now I do admit I am biased towards warships and sci fi themed capital ships, but that doesn't change the fact this is an extremely nice build. The flight deck (if that's what it is) at the rear reminds me a bit of those hybrid Japanese battleship/carriers. And the main guns make me think of the ones on the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau battlecruisers. Did you get inspiration from those ships by any chance? Also, the line rigging of the ship and the smaller gun positions really finish this build when it comes to the details. Would love to see more of this in the future! Quote
Cylo Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Wow that looks great! The surface looks smooth and sleek Quote
GeoBrick Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 A stunning creation. And since all ships need a motto, how about "Lego rules the skies"? Quote
jimmynick Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Wow! So detailed - love the red and white accents! Quote
Alessandro Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 (edited) Great work indeed! The deck colors remind me the WWII Japanese flattop as well. I'm wondering, how many hours do you have spent for designing/building her? Edited November 30, 2019 by Alessandro Quote
SteamSewnEmpire Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Love it - very Kongo/Tiger-esque. Are you able to show the internals and how you achieved the hull shaping? How solid is it to hold? Quote
gotoAndLego Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 (edited) Love it; it's like the proto-StarBlazers. Edited December 1, 2019 by gotoAndLego Quote
JoeChu1980 Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 It's hardly to tell the difference between this build and an miniature model! so smooth and detail! Quote
mechamike Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Very nice build! Love how you created the stairs to the decks and all the nice AA-turrets? The rollerskates maxe a nice touch. Quote
Sunder Posted December 7, 2019 Author Posted December 7, 2019 Thanks everyone. On 11/19/2019 at 1:55 AM, neonic said: Only the propellers looks a bit small? I tried bigger ones, it looked too bulky because of bigger pylons. On 11/21/2019 at 5:43 AM, Hollander said: Did you get inspiration from those ships by any chance? May be. I just scrolled throught random photos of different battleship and picked random ideas. I don't build whole internal structure to minimize parts count. However there is a lot of space inside to build a rigid spine. So sides can be fixed. Quote
Krol Zmija Sebastian Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 So it is a part of an armada? A battle cruiser follows a Destroyer, correct? If so that is a nice Battle Cruiser. Quote
k3nshiin Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 You watched to much Star Blazers Space Battleship Yamato, right? :D I am really impressed by your level of detail. Great Work Quote
nunofilipe72 Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) I saw the aircraft carrier first, so it looks less impressive at first But no, it also has lots of details! Excellent work Edited March 3, 2020 by nunofilipe72 Quote
