As many, as the BLE protocol can handle, which is close to indefinite, as fart as I can tell from sitting in a public train and virtually everyone present is talking to BLE microphones, listening to BLE earphones, headsets, and gazillion other devices. The thing is, you pair the BLE server (the hub) with a BLE client (the control) on startup. Just make sure, there are not 10 servers waiting for your control to connect. Other than that it is at it is with all your smart devices using Bluetooth LE. Best Thorsten Quote

Hopefully the big gear isn't fixed to the diff :0 I wonder if we could use this in gearboxes then too. I'm not sure how you are supposed to lock the diff manually in this set Edited November 26, 2019 by SNIPE Quote

Andman Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) Didn't Markus say in one of the Interview, that the App could Control up to 32 8 Hubs and a total number of 32 functions. https://youtu.be/YvUEPDDupfE?t=495 Edited November 26, 2019 by Andman Quote

Zerobricks Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Android supports up to 7 Bluetooth devices at once, and IOS supports more, at least 8 on my Iphone 5. Quote

Zerobricks Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Talking about diffs, maybe TLG introduced a new diff, because the brick-built ones had problems keeping the axles from sliding out. With the setup 42109 uses there's not much space to use axle joiners or bushes to keep the axle one the left side of the car from sliding out. Quote

From the video, it looks like the differential is 7 pieces. The reddish gear is separate from the housing(I think it attaches somehow) and there are what looks to be at least 5 smaller tan bevel gears inside the housing. I went back on Facebook and tried to find the video but it is gone. I think the red gear snapped on to the housing after all of the little bevel gears were placed into it. Certainly stronger for RC than what we currently have. Edited December 10, 2019 by Meatman Quote

Well damn, that basically makes it a fixed part of the diff, because it is required for the diff to even work in the first place :( That wouls still make the old diff a better option. Quote

Yeah, the gear connects to the housing. I assume that you can disassemble it if you need to replace a gear if one breaks. Not really sure. There was a tan gear on the bottom then 3 in the middle and one on top and then the big red gear from what I remember. The set is out now, so it shouldn't be long before more about this comes out.
