Wow, I can’t believe this set is actually real. We’ve known about it for over two years at this point and I think everyone assumed it got canned. Honestly this is like finding out Bigfoot is real or something.

But between all the Activision Blizzard stuff and the fact the Overwatch is even less popular than when they did sets last time, I’d be shocked if this wasn’t on the clearance shelf by spring.

While I find the return great, I wosh we knew more about this. A full videogame theme made of multiple licenses as subthemes would be something good, it could give us Warcraft sets and test licenses thst could be risky to get full themes. But I hope they stick around this time with Overwatch, it has a nice aesthetic and I didn't get any of the original sets so this time I will.

Yup, it's real  Best game ever made alongside Spidey PS4 so a must-have for sure.

Somewhat of a weird choice to kick off this theme but I’m all for it and I look forward to seeing how the set comes out.

Does anyone think we could potentially get Spidey PS4 games within this theme? I would love to see the Miles and Peter figures from SDCC get released again in a more easily attainable form. 

 

Definitely an interesting choice for a HZD set though. I would have expected a Thunderjaw or Corruptor before a Tallneck, but we'll see how it comes out.

A Tallneck, eh? I can see TLG pumping out a ~40 - 50cm statuette for 80$. I wonder what the ppp would be for a random AAA game, I imagine it will vary depending on the franchise (?).

I think it's safe to say she'll be included, what I want to know is how detailed she'll be. They will most likely go with the standard Nora Brave outfit but that would need at least a new hairpiece, dualmolded arms and legprinting (possibly also dualmolded legs) to work.

I'd personally love that and am surprised LEGO hasn't made sets already, given their obvious love for the character. There's plenty of scenario's in the games to base sets on

I agree, Warcraft could have so much potential for a fantasy theme, even the CMF 22 is somewhat a pseudo warcraft night elf and I mean that in a positive way.

I'll leave the situation at Blizzard/Activision or the current state of the games out of discussion, Warcraft by itself just is a very varied fantasy universe, which has a special place as I did enjoy the games/books for a long time.

While the thread is named Overwatch, I see people are discussing the HZD set, so my thoughts then:

GOD, I AM SO HYPED. I have never expected LEGO to make a whole gaming theme, and yet alone make sets on one of my favourite video games ever (3rd actually). This feels so unreal, literally a dream coming true. I don't remember being this hyped to get a LEGO set in a looong time.

It has to include Aloy tho, right? It would be pretty evil to make a buildable statue type of set without minifigures...

Making a set on a Sony video game just opens up so many possibilities: Marvel's Spider-Man, Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank are ones I'd like to see made the most (in that order). God of War would also be lovely, but they won't touch 18+ video games.

I hope we get more info soon since this theme is supposed to be 10 sets. I guess every box will have their own style like Overwatch 2 has and the theme will only appear as LEGO Games on lego shop. 

This theme opens up so many possibilities, it can test the waters for multiple sets and subthemes that can become their own themes if they sell.

I wonder if this means these set will release since they add with the numbers 76980 Titan set and 76989 Horizon Zero Dawn set:

76978 Orisa & Efi

76979 Battle for Rio

76981 Talon Dropship

Which means there are 5 more sets we don't know what they are about, of course, that's if those other 3 Overwatch sets are happening and haven't been replaced with other videogame sets. 

And just one more thing, this theme opens up Lego's fight against MCX, they have entered the gaming era.

Interesting choice  I wonder what other game franchises could be part of this theme… It’s probably in vain, but I cross my fingers from anything by Nintendo, be it Zelda, Kirby, or Animal Crossing.

Seriously, sets based on either of those would probably melt my brain

Well, since this theme will have Blizzard and PS exclusives licenses, Nintendo isn't that far fetched.

Yeah, and since they’ve already been collaborating with Nintendo on the Super Mario theme for almost two years (time flies by), this wouldn’t be much of a stretch. They have to be aware of the demand for Zelda sets in particular, just look at the sheer amount of Ideas projects that reached 10k votes!
