I have a feeling LEGO will shy away from many "darker" games as much as possible. Jedi: Fallen Order is only a matter of time due to the BD-1 set and Portal 2 would make sense because it had a Dimensions kit. I would love a Spider-Man PS4 set. Maybe the subway fight with Mr. Negative? Quote

Frankly, I would expect a basic test chamber design with GLADOS for Portal 2 (not entirely accurate, but they would almost definitely have GLADOS), and something in the vein of what you wrote for SM PS4 if they decided to do that. I don't know what else they would likely do for the 18+ line. Maybe Uncharted like someone else said, but we'll see. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 First time I even heard of this game, but that's just me because I live under a rock What a cool hairpiece. Hope there will be a review soon to get a closer look Quote
Brickwright Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Maybe this has happened in some other set and I've never noticed, but the box art renders have some weird errors. In a lot of places where there are brackets or curved slopes with cutouts, the 90 degree seam between them and the neighboring part gets turned into a wavy curve. You can see it multiple times on the back of the neck, the tails, the ankles, and the tan assemblies on the front legs. The standalone images look normal, it's just the front and back of the box that has that surreal, soupy, AI-generated feel. The set itself looks outstanding. There's some fantastic Horizon fan creations out there, and this looks like it captures the same feeling while being solid enough for mass production. Really high value too, it seems. Quote
TheMainBricker Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Eh? How come the Overwatch theme has been taken over by random set discussion? Themes now don't deserve their own threads? Quote

Lacdaran Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 I'll just add my love for the Horizon Tall Neck set to the internet ether. Aloy mini figure looks amazing. Absolute must buy for me. Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Wow, I really thought this was another "gotcha" fake leak. Didn't believe it till I saw the official images. Even as someone who's never played the game, it's gorgeous. Happy for the Horizon fans today. Glad they included an Aloy minifig too instead of just making it a statue like a lot of the 18+ sets. Of course, since I do have a Nintendo bias, this makes me think of the confusing lack of Zelda sets again. A similarly detailed set of a Guardian from Breath of the Wild with a Link minifig would be amazing. Guess we'll see. This also makes me think of possible Xenoblade Chronicles sets, since they have similar robots, but that's too niche. I am really curious to see where this gaming thing goes with TLG. Between this and the recent Green Hill Zone set, I'm guessing there's a lot more planned. Just on the Sony partnership alone I can easily see Ratchet and Clank happening, maybe Uncharted too. I would put money on the Portal license getting renewed as well, they already have the portal gun mold from Dimensions. Quote
Roses Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 More displayable statuettes with vignettes, please! The Tallneck looks marvelous and I'm glad it's not more than 100CAD! Hopefully it sells like hotcakes and gives LEGO a reason to make a whole series out of the HZD creatures. The minifigure-scale MOCs online of the Tallneck and Thunderjaw are jaw-dropping, but these smaller-scale renditions will make for neat little desk pieces. It's a long wait between announcement and release, though. We'll be playing the waiting game for the next 2 1/2 months. Quote

And it's not a random set. Quote
Surge Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 are there any other games that have rumored sets or was it just horizon? Quote

As of right now, it's just Horizon. I think Overwatch technically would have fallen into this, but given that it's delayed indefinitely, we'll see... Quote
Undi3sss Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 I love the Tallneck set, I hope we get a Thunderjaw eventually. Quote

Themes now don't deserve their own threads? At one point this thread was speculating about more Overwatch sets without knowing if any were going to eventuate. Then it became about the one new Overwatch set we did know about, but as that's been delayed, how much is there to discuss. It doesn't seem like Overwatch will continue as its own theme anyway. Then people started discussing the rumours of the Tallneck set in here along with the rumours about a LEGO Games theme with one-off videogame sets. For the sake of a whole page of the Licensed forum not being taken up with discussion topics for themes with one or zero sets, I thought it was a pretty natural fit to rebrand this topic as the Videogame Tie-In topic. Discussion of these sets naturally falls under one umbrella, similar to disparate Disney property sets and lines that also fall under one umbrella without the need to clutter the forum with a topic for Mickey and a topic for Lightyear and a topic for Disney Princesses. Just an example. Quote

NoOneOfImportance Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Out of interest, does anyone know if there is an alternate face print for Aloy? I'm not seeing it in any pictures. Quote

Not the theme that got shelved after the company's sexual harassment and mistreatment of employees made worldwide news? 8 hours ago, BlueberryWaffles said: Of course, since I do have a Nintendo bias, this makes me think of the confusing lack of Zelda sets again. Nintendo aren't going to do multiple sets, they are going to ride the Mario train till it runs out of coal. Maybe 2026/7? Quote

Mario's not going anywhere, but that doesn't mean the other properties need to get shafted. There's been merchandise based on plenty of Nintendo's games (Zelda, Animal Crossing, Star Fox, Splatoon, etc.) I don't see why Lego would be any different. Plus, the interactive Mario sets could remain aimed at a younger audience while other sets could skew to an older audience just like the Horizon set. Quote

Usually it's being used right now to refer to the "Gaming-IP" underlying theme connecting one-off sets like Overwatch-Titan and HZD (Forbidden West now).
