The bots. They're learning.

Thanks to the people who reported. I've scrubbed said bot, so now this conversation no longer makes sense.

Funny how easy it is to spot AI-written language though. Eventually it'll probably get seamless.

Well that's a scary thought.

Hey, did anything ever become of that Lego Gaming logo/theme leak from way back a few years ago?

I don’t ever remember seeing this pop up anywhere (and we definitely didn’t get the Games them I think a lot of us were expecting), but weirdly enough I noticed recently that at a completely different logo is used in a few places on LEGO’s current website.

It's strange that the rumors about Fortnite sets gain relevance every day it pass

Because Fortnite is a shooting videogame and it's far of the rules Lego want to adopt in all its sets

Lego already did Overwatch, which is a first person shooter, I think the rules really only apply when the intended sales audience is children.

That’s valid but Lego still refuses to make new gun molds when it comes to shooting.  Lego will recieve backlash for it.

I assume for Fortnite they'd just use the Overwatch gun piece with different elements attached, so they don't even have to create new gun molds.

I might be REALLY wishful for saying this, but I feel like TLG should try the whole "Making FPS sets for kids" thing again with some Apex Legends stuff similar to those Ninjago Epic Battle sets from a few years ago. Maybe 2 figures per set with brick built weapons using the Overwatch gun piece and a map feature like the care package for about $10 sounds reasonable. Lego realistically wouldn't really do something like that but it's fun to think about.

I have a hunch it'll just be a one-off set of a Battle Bus with 3-6 minifigs, not a full line (Basically like that . I'm doubtful on a CMF line too, but one can dream... Minifigs I could see coming would be:

  1. Cuddle Team Leader (Confirmed)
  2. Jonesy (Either Season 1 look or Agent, this is the only other one I'd put money on)
  3. Renegade Raider
  4. Drift
  5. Midas
  6. Peely
  7. Fishstick
  8. Ruby
  9. Aura
  10. Crystal
  11. Brite Bomber
  12. Bushranger
  13. Beef Boss
  14. Tomatohead
  15. The Henchbros
  16. Slone
  17. Someone from The Seven (Probably The Visitor)
  18. Evie
  19. The Ageless
  20. (That one character you really like that I forgot about)

So, I guess if you really wanted to do a full CMF, something like that could work... In a one-off set, though, I think that the minifigs would be CTL, Jonesy, Peely, and Fishstick would be the first four I would pick.

Yeah, Lego making a one-off set based off of the Battle Bus seems the most likely option but I'm hoping that we get 8 minifigures since they are why most people would pay money for Fortnite themed stuff anyway

That looks like a CMF honestly

That super detailed printing reeks of the CMF theme

Which I dont get is why this is happening now. Its almost 2024. Is Fornite still popular?

Watching the Fortnite live event (lost my spot in the queue), but it looks like the Lego mode could actually be kinda good. It looks P vs E, and several Lego-ified characters could be seen (I definitally saw Beef Boss, Tomatohead, Skye, and some defaults). I'll have to look at it in more detail later.

Can also see Evie, Midas, some robot in blue (Possibly The Visitor?). A lot of other ones, but it was hard to make them out. There are also some crab enemies, and some kind of castle with an ogre attacking it.

1: Default

2. Evie

3. Beef Boss

4. Midas

5. Skye

6. Tomatohead

7. Possibly Calamity?

8. Fishstick

9. Slone, ?, Beef Boss, Drift

Cuddle Team Leader could also be seen in the town near one of the houses, but we already have good pictures of her.

Yes, the game had constant queues during this OG season which brought back an older map and older items. Maybe because it was just a 1 month season, it was more queues then usual, but still.

The end-of-chapter event also had big queues.

New chapter and island tomorrow (for battle royale) , LEGO Mode is next week.

I could not possibly care less about Fortnite and I don't know how many of those will become physical figures but I see a TON of potential for amazing minifig accessories. The plague doctor mask with the tricorn hat alone has my mouth watering for it's Bloodborne moc potential! All the knights helmets are fantastic too.

As I see on oficial social media and some leaked photos

The only we will have soon (dec 7th) is an scenario of the game where buildings and characters (skins) will be in Lego mode

I hope we have some sets in the future (but I'm overpassed by the list of skins available, more than a hundred). Maybe one or more CMF series? Maybe lego Fortnite is "the new" Minecraft?

Posted (edited)

I doubt the LEGO mode figure skins will be useable in the battle royale, but some owned skins will retroactively have minifigure versions available.

One of those free skins with both a normal and a minifigure version is available by linking Epic and LEGO insiders accounts, which seems to confirm this even more.

But that does not mean that there could be actual physical minifigures.

The new patch does have LEGO in one of the 4 corners of the load screen, but there does not seem to be any LEGO areas or references in the new battle royale map at all, and I played for a couple hours.

It's more that the 4 corners of the load screen represent 4 game modes being :

  1.  Battle Royale
  2.  LEGO
  3. Creative/Music
  4.  and some racing/rocket league (I never played)

Beside that, the paid Save the World mode still exists as well but that's been around for years so not really advertised, altho it did hit like a record 70k+ players recently so it's not a dead mode either.
