Link to the list of names. Names (themes and speculation added by me): Bill the Bandit, Blizzard Archer (Ninjago), Blizzard Sword Master (Ninjago), Captain Ahoy, Diviner, Falcon Knight (M/F) (Castle), Fright Knight (M/F) (Castle), General Vex (Ninjago), Hay Man, Hollowhead, Lilly Liver, Patch Patroller, Shrakbait (maybe should be “Sharkbait”?), Skull Trooper (the skeletons from the trailer?), Smokey the Swindler, Stella the Sharpshot, Straw Ops. I am guessing that Captain Ahoy and Shrakbait (Sharkbait?) are going to be Pirates characters, and that Bill the Bandit, Smokey the Swindler, and Stella the Sharpshot will be for Western. Diviner is probably Castle and/or connected to the Skull Trooper; and Hay Man, Patch Patroller, and Straw Ops sound farm-themed. Edited December 6, 2023 by Classic_Spaceman Quote

We know that you can scan in instructions for VIP points, but what if you could also use this to unlock Lego-exclusive characters? IE, scan in a code from 71786, and unlock Zane and Pixal? if they expand on the partnership, they can do exclusive character styles with physical sets for every Fortnite mode Quote

Nothing that I can see, but I did catch the CMF Hiker and Birdwatcher (with inverted hat and hair colours), though. Quote
novareb Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Loved the trailer! I feel like they did really capture the feel of LEGO, and it reminded me quite a lot of LEGO Universe. I don't really feel like it being in Fortnite adds anything other than obvious brand recognition, but it looks enjoyable and I'm excited to play it tomorrow! Quote

I keep trying not to have this dread that they're not going to do it after all, possibly because they're angry about the leak. On the other hand, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, there is a Zelda movie in the works, so maybe any LEGO tie-ins are being coordinated with that. This would likely mean release wouldn't be for a few years yet, depending on how far along the film development is and the details of the production. Quote
TeriXeri Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Game feels like most like a LEGO Valheim to me, with the way early gameplay of gathering and combat goes, and the resources. Quote
novareb Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Really enjoy it! What shocked me though is that Licensed figures ARE playable- all of my clone trooper skins and Darth Maul can be equipped (weirdly, Darth Vader and Indiana Jones can't be?), and even weirder, the leaked Ninja Turtle skins can be equipped in LEGO mode with their own LEGO figures, which makes me hope for the return of that line... El Garfio Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 The llama was distributed in the preview in nyc There were boxes with pieces where the guests can build it Maybe we will be able to get it in an activity of build and get it home free Quote

Vader and Indi (and Iron Man and some older Marvel stuff) are from Battle Passes, so they were probably a lesser priority for now wince they can't make new money off of them. Hopefully they will be updated soon! Played for awhile this morning - I've been having a pretty good time with it, even if I haven't been able to craft any armor yet. . My town currently has me, Brite Bomber, Meowscles, and Aura as residents. I saw Beef Boss (but didn't have enough room in my town to invite him), and just before I signed off, the Groom from Minifig Series 22 came to my place (though she introduced her name as "Roam," mentioning that Groom was just a nickname? Something like that.) The character work seems to be really good - all of Meowscles's lines tie back to him being a cat, and he'll sometimes interject comments about it into conversations, for example. Just working out how to get more resources now... Quote

I've had older BP skins (Evie from C3S3) with a proper look, so I assume there's some weird licensing in place. Either way, all the characters look really great! I really do hope we get sets now, I'm enjoying this mode a lot. Quote

See that's exactly the scenario I'd despise, we've waited so long for a single Zelda set, the theme has achieved 10000 votes on Ideas like 6 / 7 times in a row, there's so much demand for it. To then wait another like 3+ years until some weird live-action monstrocity comes out is just awful. Quote
JohnTPT17 Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 As far as Lego-specific skins go, I have now also seen Tiger Woman (named Tabby) from Series 14, and Hiker Guy (named Silas) from Series 16. I wonder which other ones have made the cut - anyone else find any Series people? Quote

I wouldn't assume, in this scenario, that the sets themselves would be based specifically on the movie, just that they would be timed for synergy with it. The movie is going to give LoZ a big recognition push in the public eye and we can probably expect all kinds of merch, both pertaining directly to the movie and for the franchise as a whole. (And honestly I'm not too fussed about it being live-action to begin with, but that's another discussion, not related to LEGO per se.) Quote

TeriXeri Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) 1 hour ago, Robert8 said: Everyone seems to be losing their sh!t about this in social media Looks like it'll be a hit Currently 2.3 million people playing it right now , which is double of battle royale currently (600k build, 450k zero build), and also 36k Save the World at the same time. Sure, those numbers will change if the newness of the LEGO Mode and Season will fade, and also Fortnite will release a car / racing mode pretty much today. Also quests giving Battle Pass levels, and an unlockable skin, likely is a big factor for people at least playing through those once. After playing some more, I'd definately say this is a LEGO valheim, more then LEGO Minecraft, at least that's what I can compare it with other survival games I have played. Tiers of equipment needed to harvest new type of rock/wood, just like valheim, also hunger, cold, heat, and the dodge-roll and blocking combat system + campfires/torches. The follower system is unique to this game tho, in this game you build and level villages, and they can follow you and help, or harvest missions which seem to take 1 real world day to finish. You can still build things, with panels and foundations like valheim to make custom log cabins etc, but no free building LEGO blocks 1 by 1 . Edited December 8, 2023 by TeriXeri Quote

I could see them just putting the default skins in classic space uniforms like they did the Ghostbusters crossover, although Ninjago I'm unsure. Didn't they have 2D, anime-like designs in one episode? I can see them using that as reference. Either way, the art designers at Fortnite are seriously impressive, I can see them finding a way to make it work. Edited December 8, 2023 by novareb forgot sentence Quote

I could see them doing the same thing they did for Peter Griffin and just make the character have standard fortnite dimensions- so like weirdly long arms and legs- but they'd still be claw hands and they wouldn't have knees. I think it could be pretty funny. Quote
