Yeah, I just wanted to explain why it's not the case of "all companies being bad."

Let's move on tho.

In any case when I talk about Warcraft sets, it's because I'm interested in LEGO sets depicting the Warcraft universe locations/characters, not the writers or game devs or past company missteps.

I'm not as big into Overwatch now, I played it in the early days, but still would see how this Mech would compare to some other big mechs like the Ninjago combo-mech etc as a LEGO set.

Great idea. Let’s get back on topic.

What characters are you still hoping to see in the future for Overwatch, assuming we get more sets? I'm personally hoping for a redo a Reinhart, one that either makes him bit more in-scale with the rest of the minifigures or gives him his barrier. I mean I'd love it if both, but gotta keep realistic expectations, it's LEGO and all. :pir_tong2:

I’m hoping for Lucio to get his own minifigure!

Ana for sure! Would love a new mold for a hood + hair combo with a braid coming out front, but I doubt we'd get that. Other than that, I would say at least Brigitte, Sombra, Torbjorn, and Zenyatta deserve figures with new molds. The rest of the heroes could probably be done with existing molds or brick builds.

Apparently Lego is reviewing their partnership with Activision. Probably a good choice of them to do that, although they haven’t officially canceled the Titan.

Good.

Most of the rumoured Overwatch set might never come out then tho.

Hasn‘t the set been spotted in the wild already? If so, a couple of people might make a pretty penny if the set ends up getting cancelled *huh*

Kinda weird it took them this long to adress the elephant in the room, but good on them for doing so. Better late than never

We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard, given concerns about the progress being made to address continuing allegations regarding workplace culture, especially the treatment of female colleagues and creating a diverse and inclusive environment.

When will LEGO review their partnership with Amazon? How about Disney? Is LEGO okay with with toxic workplace culture as long as it's across all genders?

Good question, this is just PR stuff. Giants like Amazon and Disney seem to be ok, even though they did awful things (including Amazon).

I call it a bad move but whatever, atleast I will save cash for Indy and Avatar sets and whatever else is coming.

I'm just sick of this PR garbage. I'm sure the set will be released at some point this year. LEGO is just waiting the backlash to die down and for Blizzard to come out and say sorry several more times and probably name a female CEO or something.

Have you heard about Disney or Amazon workers commiting suicide on a business trip because of the work environment? Cube crawls where drunk male workers crawl through cubicles engaging in inappropriate behaviour towards women? Executives engaging in sexual harassment without any consequences? Women being treated terribly on every step at the work? Men refusing to communicate with women? Breastfeeding women being kicked out of lacation rooms (which are literally made for that!)? Joking about rape, commenting on female bodies, openly talking about the sexual encounters? Naming a hotel room on a trip Cosby Suite, after an actual convicted rapist?

Don't talk about things you don't understand.

Yeah, let's forget about all the Amazon drivers that kill people every year because they have to go fast. This discussion will lead nowhere. All companies do awful things, some are better at keeping people shut. Shilling for them won't get anyone here into some high position. I'm out of this, you guys can continue if you want.

Moving on from this, if the OW sets are not happening anymore this will make the Gaming lineup  smaller for this year. Hopefully they got more stuff beyond the HZD set.

Workers commit suicide at work places, including Amazon. Sexual harassment happens at many different work places. Executives engaging in sexual harassment without any consequences happen at work places. Once again, it's only terrible if women are being treated terribly on every step at the work? Amazon workers shit in bags. Amazon workers are fired via text so the higher ups don't need to communicate with workers. How about all the human suffering in China where LEGO is buddies with the government now?

Don't talk about things you don't understand. I'd done with people like you.

Drivers generally kill people every year because they have to got fast.

The thing is, all of the stuff I mentioned is just from one lawsuit.

Most companies do bad things, but Blizzard was terrible enough to get the biggest lawsuit in gaming history.

Yes, but Amazon ones would be winners if there was a competition, and there are more things going on there, but when you are the biggest company in the world yoy kind of get away with everything. Don't get me wrong, I am ok with Lego ending their partnership with Activision, but they are not the only rotten apple in the world, just because they will get "punished" it does not mean the bigger bad guys will.

True. But that's how business works.

Everyone can't just cut ties with Amazon because we've been hearing bad things here and there.

But when an actual, huge lawsuit with details like this gets public, it would be illogical for LEGO, and other companies, to continue this partnership.

Well I see Lego's PR has worked, for Lego it's an easy excuse, when the fact is that Overwatch 2 has been delayed and Lego don't want to release any more sets long before the game/movie is released. They got burnt a few times with Covid due to delays with Black Widow, Minions etc.

Better to release a set when the game is actually released.

Man, I’m a socialist and even I don’t think this is true. Most companies do do bad things, but the stuff with Blizzard is absolutely terrible.

Don't you say that, I lost someone very important to me thanks to a accident that involved an Amazon truck. There is proof of this happening, I say we move on.
