I really don't see Borgin and Burkes looking good at $30, definetely needs a higher price :sceptic:

I agree - I didn’t know we had a price attached to HP-4. Maybe it was meant to be 30 British pounds which would be closer to $40 something? (Grasping at straws here)

I think if they bought an old DA set this year, they are aware enough of the Lego world to know this was coming

I know I know

I see, thanks!

If the set shows up at the rumored $350 price, I might consider getting it despite the disappointment.

$350 would be a dream considering I’m not too fond of the minifigs. With that piece count however, I don’t think it’s happening.

As stated earlier, I don't mind the pink. I also think the picture which is floating around right now is a bit enhanced (exposure or something similar), which makes the pink colour much more bright than it is in real life.

My advice: be patient folks and wait for the official reveal and/or the physical set!

The small vignettes on the back of the box just showed up in an image. One of them shows Harry trying out a wand in Ollivander's. It looks so strange though, because he's already wearing the Gryffindor torso . That pretty much kills the idea that the leaked torso will be included in DA.

Ok for anyone disappointed, check out the picture on the back of the box that shows the set from the front. It looks so beautiful! Much much better than the angle at the front of the box. So much more hype and immersive!

I really hope the QQS windows are not clear stickers and that they printed at least a few new pieces

I'm beginning to understand more and more why Lego decided to leave Gringotts out of this set. I just don't think that Gringotts would have worked just being attached modular style to one straight row of buildings. Hopefully this can still look good if you split the buildings down the middle, creating two rows, and with (hopefully) next year's Gringotts set at the end.

There better be a VERY GOOD GWP if I’m going to buy this set lollll

lego absolutely sucked when it came to revealing these HP sets. They need to get on their game. If these were Star Wars sets we would had teasers months ago. Such a disappointment (but I guess that’s what we get for high expectations)

I knew we wouldn’t get that many figures, I estimated 12 and everyone thought I was crazy and expected 20 (14 isn’t bad - considering I didn’t think we’d get a molly again after the burrow — only figs worth getting are the twins, Lockhart, and Lucius) but then some of the buildings just look tooo blocky for me. and DA looks almost dead. I would’ve liked more street signs or shops like the old set. Something just seems off. i don’t think people would know what it is by looking at it if they aren’t HP fans. Idk how it’ll look on display.

edit: I agree the inside looks great, but no one displays the backside of a set like this.

edit 2: im happy with how I display my big HP sets now. Don’t know how DA would even be incorporated.

I was right with you man, my initial impression was meh. Look at it from the front view on the back of the box though, it definitely has character!

Minifigures are not why I was excited for the set, so to me it’s not a big deal. I can see why a lot of people are disappointed though. All I really care about is that PS Harry - I Want him so badly!

I’m the complete opposite, for me the minifigures make the sets and I actually love them all (except Hagrid who is exactly the same as every other Hagrid except that one that is different ?), I especially love the new characters, but the trio are good too and the Twins are as good as I expected them to be ????

I was excited for both, but I have to remember my complaining won’t change absolutely anything XD

Funny when a minifigure from 2002 does a better job for a character than one from 2020, in my opinion. I

This is another Molly Weasley situation, where the older one looks better

They are improving... just backwards

Besides a Rita Skeeter, which I mean let’s be real wasn’t necessarily required for a DA set, which minifigures are people wanting that they can’t get currently? The way I see it, minifigures are the easiest thing to buy and don’t really need to be part of the set as long as they’re available.

Can we please steer clear of this line of conversation? Your characterization of people bitching about the human rights of trans people is really problematic and I don’t want the mods to step and shut down the forum on such an important day.

So far I’m some what disappointed. It just seems more like a beautiful muggle shopping street and not the crazy overpacked and wackyness of what in my opinion is DA. I’m not fussed by the minifigures, I like architecture and character of buildings. Obviously you well and truly can’t please everyone and I may change my mind after seeing how fans display and modify it. Maybe Lego has got bigger plans and I will come to desperately want to buy it with all the add ons (if they make them). Only time will tell

A new image, you say? Can’t find it using the usual tags :/

I would’ve been super satisfied with these 14 if they were a bit more detailed. The sight of Lucius and Lockhart is dull and it’s two iconic characters full of detail we’re talking about, unlike Hannah abbot, so to speak. Again, these pictures do not do them justice but we can already tell. Also, the reused legs are getting very annoying.

LEGOs refusal to reveal this set is problematic:laugh:. They are possibly the worst company ever at keeping secrets. Every. Single. D2C set leaks because they won't just reveal them a month before the release like most sets. Its a real issue that the first look we get for every large set is via an employees crappy camera. They need to either reveal sets earlier or send them to shops later.

Was looking at the studio tour street view and noticed that QQS in the film set is actually half of what it is in the LEGO model. The other half is Eyelops Owl Emporium. Now I kind of wish they had done that, and confused why they gave QQS so much space.

EDIT: In fact, they should've not included the Daily Prophet (since there's no Rita Skeeter figure anyway) and just had it be half QQS and half EOE.

Im still confused why the photographer (AN ADULT) has kid legs just because he's short (hes not a goblin or dwarf)! Where were goofys long legs just because hes tall?

THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO RELEASING STORE CALENDARS A MONTH AHEAD TOO!

It just sucks because everyone that reports Lego has to now pretend as if this isn’t happening. I just want the cat out of the bag so we can all discuss it properly

For all that are concerned, look at the full picture of the back of the box that Lego_news posted on ig. It looks so good!

I think the set looks better with the straight on view on the back of the box.

Is it just me or is Lucius reusing the  old Bruse Wayne face?
