chris6507 Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Thanks for all your replies about the Weasley's Hat Mechanism. I'm such a twit. I hadn't connected the lever to the technic pin. No wonder the thing wasn't working properly. Lol.

Just a little side note regarding the "coming soon" note: It usually takes them a longer time to bring the big bundles into production. As an example, the Ninjago City package is marked as coming soon for about half a year now. So I'd expect the DA bundle not to be released before mid 2021. But I think we can all live with the stickers until then ? You're most welcome and thank you for the added knowledge, hehe. I'm so glad they'll be one for Ninjago City. ☺
mgetz Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Any ideas on what the next Hogwarts attachment will be?

Presuming we get a new attachment for the Deathly Hallows (which makes much more sense to get next summer than a non-sequitur Durmstrang Ship like some have proposed, but I digress), the most likely next addition would be the Bell Towers. Outside of that, it's always possible that they might make interior-based modules, such as a new Chamber of Secrets or Forbidden Corridor, but I think the Bell Towers themed around the Battle of Hogwarts is very likely.

Both Privet Drive and Diagon Alley (for the most part) were a strange backtracking to Chamber of Secrets so it seems they are mixing the timeline now. So next wave could definitely be Goblet of Fire (Durmstrang boat and ???) and Deathly Hallows (implied by both Gringotts and the Sword of Gryffindor mold). Edited September 22, 2020 by doclord

Mine currently goes awkwardly in all directions. ? It may be a matter of time, just when you have built a lot of technic sets it will work just fine for you.

L4t2901 Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I feel like the face and hair lego chose for Viktor krum doesn't fit at all. Has anyone found a good alternative.

He has a buzz cut in the movies but they gave him an Afro piece. I’d love to hear any suggestions for alternatives.

LEGO doesn't have anything that resembles a buzz cut so the piece they've used is definetely the most accurate one. Otherwise you could use the basic slicked back hair but that's even worse than the afro.
doclord Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Honestly, I've been having my figs be bald for buzzcuts, the smaller afro just doesn't work.

I think if LEGO ever designed a buzz cut piece, it would have to be one in the style of Filch’s hair (except no hair molding) with printing on it??♂️ That would certainly make an interesting photoshop edit...
Seaber Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 For Crabbe and Goyle, who also have close cropped hair, I've been using the following piece. Crabbe's piece is black, I painted one dark brown for Krum, but it's better than the short afro piece, but still not great. A new piece specifically for cropped hair would be great.
Marvelous Spidey Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 I've always considered the hair they gave Krum as a buzz cut. I think it's realistically as close as LEGO is ever going to get

just_one Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 ok , so im gonna try to explain what im going to ask, anyone with the diagon alley set please help me out. im going to buy the set but was thinking of building it in 4 32x32 plates and adding dark grey titles on the front to make space for all the HP Minifigs (series 1 & 2 and others ones) do you think it would look good?

I did this and put in a few 1x1 studs so the figures have something to stand on. I added smaller plates to the ones included in the set. I think it looks great.

They just appear lighter in the picture. They're the same color as the base plate (Scribbulus is light gray for reference) Edited September 23, 2020 by diagonalley
