Huigberts Builds Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Only just now noticed the back of Hedwig. I like the mold even better now.

The Forbidden Forest set this year is based on the scene where Harry and Hermione take Umbridge into the forest - Harry is wearing the red t-shirt and grey hoodie that is included in the CMF series. Are we just going to get doubles of this outfit in the set and the CMF? That figure in the cmf is actually from half blood prince. yeah i too used to think its from ootp, but its not, I did the research. HBP: black pockets, rounded seam on shoulder. Ootp: no shoulder seam, grey pockets. Anyways they are super similar, so i am expecting maybe Harry and Hermione are reusing their uniforms from their small set.

Darth Shadowthrone Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Oh wow I thought they were just going to reuse the bunny piece but that’s whole new mould by the looks of it! Looks really good overall although those front feet do look awkward. Luna’s patronus is meant to be a hare which is larger than a rabbit but it’s still amazing attention to detail for Lego to make a new mould that probably isn’t very reusable
lego_guyon02 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 It does look really good but I want to see it next to a figure because this way it kinda looks like something from Duplo
GoldenNinja3000 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 The new Patronus mold is nice, but those front feet are huge and slightly off-putting. Luna with dual molded legs sounds great, I can’t wait to see that figure!

Especially since the $20 Room of Requirements set is also guaranteed a new otter mold for Hermione’s patronus - which given how amazing this hare is I’m really looking forward to. I agree that the front paws are a tad awkward, but the gorgeous detail in the face and ears more than make up for it. As a possibility for why they made a new mold - I notice the ears are much finer than the rabbit’s, and the way the legs are constructed makes it look like the body might be hollow? I remember seeing in an interview last year with a couple of the set designers that one of the tricky things about designing the stag was making sure it would look good transparent. Maybe that sparkly trans blue plastic doesn’t look right when it’s molded too thick?
THELEGOBATMAN Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 This looks really nice, even though front feet look huge.

Looks like a European hare to me which would make sense. I agree that it front paws look big, but the head look really nice.. I wonder how big it is since it has a stud I mean
Clone OPatra Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 It looks great! The picture is pretty close up. It's going to be on just two-three studs, so I think from above or a regular viewing angle the feet aren't going to look as large.

In half blood prince he either wears a dark red jacket over a grey/light blue t shirt or a checkered shirt over a grey/ light blue t shirt. The version in the CMF is DEFINITELY order of the Phoenix. I challenge you to find one picture of Harry in that outfit from Half blood prince. but of course- his accessory is the potion making book from HBP. This is a case of Lego combining costumes with accessories from different movies. Edited April 5, 2020 by Legoniche

Yeah, you are completely right although you can find that OoTP outfit in HBP on the first flashback scene from the movie hahahahahaha

The scene in the Three Broomsticks where the trio talk to a drunken Slughorn while Dean and Ginny make out in the corner booth. Not quite identical to his iconic OotP appearance but close enough that a tiny minifigure torso isn’t going to show the difference.

Apologies to everyone and @deskp , I was wrong. but I will keep my point of it being the more center outfit of OOTP and less used in HBP, but you’re right, it is in the movie, and he comes with the book. still- I’d love to get a variant of Harry with the dark red jacket!

That was the jacket he's wearing in all the posters for Half-Blood Prince, isn't it? I've never been a fan of Harry's civilian clothing but that would actually be a cool one to get.
RealGeronimo11 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 King_nono posted about Harry changing pants between the Knight Bus and Leaky Cauldron... does that confirm the Leaky Cauldron's inclusion in Diagon Alley and the Harry variant (being the same as the Knight Bus, but with different legs)?

Harry did change pants in between those scenes but there is no way a figure from a september D2C would leak in april. The first leak for the Star Wars UCS coming out next month was just a few days ago

If only they did a recolour into a real looking hare it would be perfect for the bunny sled for Radagast the Brown! Sadly a few years too late for the Hobbit theme lol

Though it probably won't happen as those sets didn't really sell well, not getting any of them is one of my biggest regrets when it comes to LEGO (I only have the DoS Legolas polybag)

Yeah, I personally like all his outfits, but I’m always of the opinion that- any new variant is a good thing when it comes to Lego ? Luckily i managed to get 70% of the sets- but they were the best! Lord of the rings/ the hobbit is my favorite over literally anything- we can only dream! But it’s really unlikely...

The black collar matches and everything EDIT: I see the preceding Three Broomsticks scene where he’s first wearing it has already been mentioned. Anyway, looks like that’s what the CMF is based on but I do wish they had used the red jacket version, especially if everyone in the Astronomy Tower has their Slug Club clothes Edited April 5, 2020 by Balrogofmorgoth
