Hi! New here but I follow this website every year for leaks on the HP stuff.

Y'all are great.

Just wanted to add: Kingnono kinda confirmed Ollivander in his comments with a smiley reply to someone pointing out that Hurt played the Doctor!

By the way, even though I've seen you already talking about it: which 5 buildings do you think will be included in the D2C DA set?

IMO The Leaky Cauldron, Ollivander, Flourish and Blotts, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and the Quidditch shop whose name I don't remember lol

PS: when was it confirmed that the buildings would be "only" 5?

EDIT: I also forgot: any chance for this set to get the Gringott expansion in the next wave? Maybe with 3 more buildings in a possible D2C for next year/the year after?

Welcome to EB!

Ollivander was basically confirmed as soon as rumors started that the D2C would be Diagon Alley. You can't have DA without Ollivanders and you can't have Ollivanders without Mr Ollivander himself.

I personally think (and hope) the D2C will be an upscaled version of the GWP so: Gringotts, Ollivanders, Flourish and Blotts, Quality Quidditch Supplies and Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Idk where you got the 5 buildings thing from, the amount of buildings hasn't been confirmed.

Kingokongo

I don't remember him ever mentioning that besides the fact the sets were revealed on the 25th last year

Wait I'm confuses... So who's kingokongo? _kingnono_ or kingwong? I haven't seen either of them talking about a release date. Or is their an actual kingokongo?

Yeah that was my comment:laugh: And welcome btw!

My guess would be that the figs in the set are from different movies regarding that hint. So we get some figs from every time the movies was in DA

He also commented on someone who guessed "My guess, we will get different Harry's. Year 1 in ???, Year 2 in Flourish and Blott's, Year 3 in the Leaky Cauldron, Year 6 in WWW and Year 7 in Gringotts." to which Kingnono responded "almost right :)". So you're probably right.

5 Harry's? Talk about wasting minifigure spots.....

Harry is easily one of the least interesting figures of the theme so I really don't want him more than once in a D2C

Looking at the kingnono clues, his previous clue was minifigure collectors will love this years D2D. Could he mean that 1.we will definitely be getting a fair few of them and 2. As I  someone has suggested in the same post Will it be minifigures representing Each different year in Diagon Alley? And someone agreed. Kingnono responded “almost right“

If that’s true what a great selection and way to represent the characters :sweet: only time will tell. Fingers crossed more info soon. What does everyone think?

I would rather have new characters than many versions of Harry, specially if it’s recycled (PoA harry “leak” with the grey pants) At $400, I hope the statement “Minifig collectors will love this year’s D2C” is true!

He said almost right, so probably just different movie moments and 1 Harry (poa one). Or maybe 2 harry's, 1 short legs 1 mid. But definitely not 5.

I can see different Harrys if the intent is to have the buildings represent different scenes that feature Harry.

Fudge and POA Harry in the Leaky Cauldron, Ollivander and SS Harry, Lucius/Lockhart and CoS Harry.

Yup, but it would also explain the Slytherin robes right? They could come with Malfoy Jr. in the book scene.

I guess. But I still refuse to believe parts of a September D2C are leaking 5 months in advance, unless someone like @Falconfan1414 is certain they are from that set.

The exterior is (appropriately) bland, but the interior is nice. A bedroom upstairs and the bar below is all that'd be needed, along with the sign outside for the building, with the little yard with the moving wall at the back.

Have you guys seen what the ladieswholego did in their Diagon Alley? They included the Leaky Cauldron as a regular size modular building which has the yard with the brick wall (that actually moves!) as the entrance to DA in the back. That would be the solution I would prefer. Of course I know that this will never happen. But it's alright to dream ;)

It looks like it's the same lady in this. This is the best DA MOC I've ever seen!

Hi! I'm new as well but enjoying all the leaks. I love your idea of doing it in 2 waves - Diagon Alley will never get old but allows for more awesomeness. If I had to pick 5 I'd go with Gringotts, the Leaky cauldron, Olivander's, Borgin & Burke's and Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and , as I feel they're the ones that have had the most impact/significance in any of the scenes, so they'd be the most fun to set up scenes.

An expanasion could be Madam Malkin's Robes, Flourish & Blotts and Quality Quidditch Supplies/Eyelop's. The first two still have some significance (Actually I'd say Flourish & Blotts should be in the first list!) and the other two are both interesting shops but without so much source material.

The trouble is, there's just so many shops that Lego's unlikely to do them all, as amazing as it would be. Then again it is twice the price of the 2011 version so I guess twice the number of shops (6) isn't out of the question (ignoring inflation). Although then again, Lego's got much more detailed since then (the interiors were actually not that interesting in the 2011, especially for B&B - the 2002 one was more interesting inside imo!) so a hypothetical today's equivalent of the 2011 set of 3 might have more pieces and hence cost more for this reason.

I'd probably rather them have more slightly smaller builds than last time so you can set up more scenes - I'd actually say, based on videos only, the 2011 one was a bit out of scale compared to stuff like Hogwarts. Is anyone else with me there?

Also I'd rather have a little more of a "street" feeling, rather than 3 completely unconnected builds. Could just be simple things like the little bridge going over the path to Knockturn Alley. I wonder if they'll be modular?

75966 193 pieces

75967 253 pieces

75968 797 pieces

75969 971 pieces

75979 630 pieces

If this is legit and 971 pieces is the astronomy tower, that would make it the largest piece count out of the Hogwarts expansions which makes me hopefully that it will be taller than the staircase tower.

Also if 797 is privet drive that's a massive improvement from the old on so I hope it looks more like privet drive this time around

Where was this info originally found?

Idk where it comes from and if it's legit but the last set (979) is Hedwig, Privet Drive is 968

I've been reading this for awhile but I've finally made an account to point something out that everyone seems to have missed (unless I myself missed a post). Kingnono's "almost right" might not have been about the commenter's list of many Harry figures but the buildings the commenter listed associated with each. Which to remind everyone were: ???, Flourish and blott's, Leaky Cauldron,  WWW, And Gringots.

The ??? of the first year would certainly be Ollivander's.

EDIT: Oh yeah it was commented a lot :D But that would be a good lineup.

That's very much possible. I think Flourish and Blott's is most likely to be the wrong one in that case and ??? obviously being Ollivander's as someone else pointed out.

I would say F&B has a higher chance of being included than LC with the Lockhart rumors
