Also, I think the "underground scene" will be a lot simpler than what some here are thinking. It'll probably just be a small straight section of track leading to a pair of small vaults (Harry's and 713). Also, I don't think they'll include the Ironbelly, since a big playscale dragon would both take up a lot of pieces and distract from the collector's feel of the kit.

If they include the Ironbelly it wouldn´t be playscale but more of a display piece which would add to the set imo (unless it´s made by the same designer as the Horntail)

I don't think we considered that we don't have to get the whole Malfoy Manor as a set, but just a small piece of it, like in the video above this. That's a really good idea, as the interior is interesting enough and so is the minfigure selection.

Oh I'll take a look! Edit: any idea where I might find info/pics on it (without buying the book lol).

Here’s a photo of the cancelled Malfoy Manor set drawing. I think this would be a great set if they added the dungeon and included the square “towers” on the exterior to make it look more like Hardwick Hall (the filming location).

Yeah Malfoy Manor would be a little bland as a display piece imo, just a typical looking real world mansion. A smaller set of the interior would be better I think. Just to capture the scenes from the film. Maybe a partial facade with the Death Eater meeting table, the hall where the interrogations take place, and the cellar

The cellar would be a definite must, maybe with the layout of this Hobbit set but at a larger scale and with a more substantial upper floor. There could be a playfeature with the chandelier as well, and maybe a turntable function for Dobby apparating. Maybe a table to the side as well to recreate the Death Eater meeting with minifigures from other sets. I'd also really like a Lucius with stubble in this set as that was a really distinctive look for him in the Deathly Hallow films.

This is some really fun speculation but we haven’t even seen the 2020 sets yet, I think we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Anyone else feel like this has been a very dry leak season so far? Compared to previous years at least. Maybe we’ll get a flood of leaks over the next couple of weeks before the reveal though, who knows

This idea would be perfect for Malfoy Manor and work really well. Since we don't see much of Malfoy Manor and there's not much to see it could be a relatively cheap set too, still doing an iconic scene.

Eh, if it's allowed, it's fun to speculate or just wishlist what they could make cool sets of. More fun than talking about vague hints that provide more questions than answers really  :shrug_oh_well:

I definitely agree leaks have been might drier this year, although I think part of the reason it especially feels like this now is that it peaked really early this year with the set list and then the leaked cmf packaging. The few figures and creature elements we've seen have been fun but I don't think anything can match the first two leaks in terms of excitement until we get HD set pictures (or a long-awaited figure like Tonks).

Wishlisting is not allowed here though, that's why this thread exists:

Just because not everything from the theme has leaked doesn’t mean it’s a dry leak season. Be patient, official pictures will be here before you know it

I think this is the thing. We got to see the CMF packaging almost half a year before its release which opens up a fairly long timespan where's probably gonna happen nothing. I don't know how you guys feel but for me, the most exciting sets are the ones to be released in the second wave, especially Diagon Alley, the CMFs of course and finally the set we don't even know if it really exists. But it is a long time to go until then. Nevertheless, I have kinda fun speculating about all those vague hints we have at the moment. This really exalts one's imagination :pir-grin:

Just an observation, compared to previous years. Didn’t mean any harm by it.

I’ve also been reviewing the LEGO Harry Potter Magical Search and Find Adventure book that came out last October for clues.
The cover features a Diagonal Alley build, which we now have good reason to believe will be this year’s D2C set. The shops appear to be Ollivander’s, Flourish  & Blott’s, Quality Quidditch Supplies, Eylop’s Owl Emporium, and the Potions Apothecary.

Some minifigs and items from the cover scene that we now know were correctly predicted include Arthur Weasley, goblins, owls with outstretched wings, and the Monster Book of Monsters.

The rest of the book features some potential clues to minifigs and key locations that have been rumored, notably: Professor Lockhart, lots of blue pixies (they’re almost as common as the owls in the spreads), Goyle, a horse patronus, and the Ministry Atrium with a giant-fig pearl gold wizard, a pearl gold witch, and a pearl gold house elf.

Much of what was predicted in the book has already been confirmed: Kingsley, Professor Sprout, Bellatrix, Molly Weasley, the otter patronus, and more.

I recommend taking another look at this book if you have it!

TBH, I would be a little bit disappointed if we don't get Weasley's Wizard Wheezes :pir-look:

3 new hints by _kingnono_:

  • 71028: 3x5, 6x4, 7x3
  • DA is minifig-scale, height around 23 cm
  • "wave for 5 and 6 without ...? I don't think so."

Hm, I wonder what the third hint is about...

Without the burrow I assume

Diagon Alley confirmed minifig scale

Whoop whoop!

I am also happy about the fact that the CMFs will be straight without any special figure. That makes it much more relaxed to get all of them.

I would be, too. But it would make sense if LEGO made WWW its own separate set that releases next year. A large separate Gringott’s set with a big Ukrainian Ironbelly that can be draped over the entrance dome (as it appears in Universal Studios) would also make sense from a marketing / sales point of view. The D2C set could focus primarily on the entrance into Diagonal Alley, perhaps with a small Leaky Cauldron / moving brick wall entrance and be more for the adult super fans.

He says that it has to do with a figure :pir-oh3:

Hmm. Not trying to find something to complain about, but 23cm seems almost a bit too tall.

In the old DA, Ollivander's and Borgin & Burke's were 20cm tall, and Gringott's was 21cm tall. So these are gonna be quite large, and kinda oddly proportioned compared to say the Great Hall, which is around 14cm high from floor to ceiling (not counting turrets or the tower, and based on a conversion website and looking at the image on Lego's website of the blueprint). This also makes me wonder if we're not going to get as many buildings as we might've hoped for - although hopefully this means they can go all out on the interior details if there's so much space.

Who is an important character who appears significantly in films 4 and without appearing much in earlier films?

_kingnono_ just specified that the third hint points toward a character... I wonder who this could be that hasn't been leaked or hinted at yet :shrug_oh_well:

My guess would be Voldemort. He is obviously very integral to both of the films/books and has not been rumored to be in the CMF or any of the sets (unless we are getting a MoM set). Other ones could be Dumbledore (but we know that he is coming in the CMF), Sirius (who only is integral to OotP) or Snape.

EDIT: You could also add Tonks to the list, forgot about her because we have speculated pretty much that she is in the CMF (or the Burrow).
