They’re really the only characters that haven’t been hinted at yet that are that pivotal to those films, although Sirius would really only be for OOTP Edited April 13, 2020 by Balrogofmorgoth
Tariq j Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Voldermort and Snape spring to mind. Snape more so since he is very pivotal for Half Blood Prince.
djhorn Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Has anyone considered that a fully printed "decked out" Bellatrix is being saved for a D2C set like Diagon Alley and the basic one with unprinted skirt is being saved for regular release? Given how the 2010 version is one of the most popular figures on the aftermarket, I can see them using this as a marketing tactic.
sebastian666 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I wager the minifig _kingnono_ is hinting at is Lord Voldemort - the chief antagonist in the series. This ties in to his previous clue of “He’s back.” The only set Voldemort has been rumored to appear in so far is the Duel in the Ministry Atrium set, the climactic scene in OotP where Fudge and Percy Weasley finally see the Dark Lord in the flesh and those famous words are uttered.
SupesBatsy Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) Nice confirmation for DA! I was expecting something higher for the buildings though (don't know why) but with an average 23 CM overall I feel like we might get even more than 5 buildings. Considering that a set like the Great Hall was like 99€ and had so many pieces I imagine we could have a well detailed Gringott+other shops and also some "filler" for the street and the second floor of the buildings, maybe one/two house interiors? Overall I'm loving this, I just hope we get Harry's vault and TONS of cool interiors (mostly for Ollivander and the bookshop) About the figure I'd say either Snape or Tonks, but I feel like we'll get both. Snape is a must but Tonks is a character we have yet to see and that would be awesome to have. EDIT: Voldemort fits the description but he's not a character whose absence would shock fans lol We had him (at least?) twice in the last few years Edited April 13, 2020 by SupesBatsy I forgot to add the last part

He isn't rumored to be in that set, because that set is a made up rumor. It may be coming, but it is incredibly far from a real, credible rumor
Brickity Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I guess it’s either a hint at Snape or Voldemort, though it would be weird not getting either Voldemort is crucial for Ootp and Snape for HBP, obviously. I’m excited for the D2C, it will be the very first one I buy, specially at $400! Holy Molly Can’t wait!
Huigberts Builds Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Half blood prince without the half blood prince? I don't think so. Or at least that's the most logical option to me. Gotta be in the astronomy tower if that's the case. 1 hour ago, 8fifty said: I think this is the thing. We got to see the CMF packaging almost half a year before its release which opens up a fairly long timespan where's probably gonna happen nothing. Yeah pretty much, all those figures on the package were leaked in a single picture. If the same figures were leaked individually over a longer time period I think people would've considered it as many leaks xD. Pretty much the biggest cmf leak ever, at least so far I could think of (not counting lists). + we've got a leaked figure out of every set (although the d2c Harry was kinda bland xD)

Not trying to find something to complain about, but 23cm seems almost a bit too tall. In the old DA, Ollivander's and Borgin & Burke's were 20cm tall, and Gringott's was 21cm tall. So these are gonna be quite large, and kinda oddly proportioned compared to say the Great Hall, which is around 14cm high from floor to ceiling (not counting turrets or the tower, and based on a conversion website and looking at the image on Lego's website of the blueprint). This also makes me wonder if we're not going to get as many buildings as we might've hoped for - although hopefully this means they can go all out on the interior details if there's so much space. Interesting that you thought the polar opposite of me in every regard. To me 23cm is quite large. I guess you can compare it to the 2011 Diagaon Alley buildings, which in my opinion were quite large - as I was saying, this is much taller than Hogwarts Great Hall without any turrets/towers, or just under 2/3 of the 38cm of the full height of that set including the towers. Considering that's a huge hall and these are some two-storey shops, that seems quite big enough to me! Also we are almost certainly getting interiors on all the shops in a D2C mega expensive fanservice Harry potter nerd set. Edited April 13, 2020 by sammy_zammy

deskp Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I think Dumbledore is the only figure that seem like an obvious so far. He is one of those figures Lego always makes. 23Cm is the height of the clock tower, to top of roof, not the turrets. That's 3 levels, which is what most of diagon alley is. The cmf box distribution is the same as the 2 previous series

It happens lol Imo that 23 cm is with all the chimneys and turrets of the case, so maybe somethink more like 18/20cm for the actual buildings. Then I imagine we'll have two floors but the first one could have, like we see in the movies, a middle floor that overlooks the shop from the inside (I don't know how to describe it lol) At the end of the day I just can't wait for anything that will come xD Any ideas about the dates we could see something?

So something similar to that could be expected. they release June so a month beforehand seems fair? Edited April 13, 2020 by deskp

And we must keep in mind kingnono said mostly 23cm. So one could even be taller and one could be somewhat smaller. 2 minutes ago, SupesBatsy said: Any ideas about the dates we could see something? lego_guyon02 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I'm definetely thinking either Snape or Dumbledore but I'm more leaning towards Snape since he's easier to include in a set like the Astronomy Tower (they would never include Dumbledore in that set). The CMF info isn't new though

thenudeorganist Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) I think the figure in question is Snape in the Astronomy Tower. Unless we are getting a MoM set with Dumbledore and Voldemort. Edited April 13, 2020 by thenudeorganist
Roebuck Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 10217 Diagon Alley had 2025 parts, 11 figs and cost 150$. 71043 Hogwarts Castle had 6020 parts, 4 figs and cost 400$. The new D2C cost 400$ and is system -scale according to rumours. So say we get 5000 parts (bigger parts and more minfigs=less parts) and the builds is roughly the same size as last time we can get 6 small buildings extra. Slightly bigger builds we can hope for 4 extra maybe, less if it is more details. So I guess we will get something like this: A brick wall in one end and Gringotts in the other. A narrow street with 2-3 shops on each side that you can move around as you like or for display on the shelf have everyone on on side, open buildings from the back to save a lot of bricks and easy access

I guess I was fudging my data to fit my agenda by not including the turrets! I'm so excited too, although I'm absolutely gonna have to save up every last penny for this... 43 minutes ago, deskp said: I think Dumbledore is the only figure that seem like an obvious so far.
