Thieda Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 For the D2C Diagon Alley what film do you think the minifigures will be based on?

It has been discussed here quite a bit and I feel like the majority think that several films are represented. For example something like this: PS/SS: Harry, Hagrid, goblins, Ollivander. CoS: Lockhart, Malfoys. PoA: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fudge. HBP: Fred &George, possibly death eaters. But yea, basically all of the films that have the Diagon Alley :D

Is the info about a Burrow set speculation or a creditable leak?

deskp Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 well the Molly and Arthur figures we have seen are ones they wear at the burrow and not in any diagon alley scenes.

True and that’s the most likely scenario, but Lego has been known to throw characters into sets that are actually from other scenes
Crookshanks Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Witch important characters have lego never done in hp? If lego will locked up characters in D2C diagon alley like how they did with the grounders in Hogwarts castle.

Tonks is probably the most notable omission, and we will almost certainly be getting her in this wave. As the previous comment mentioned, Tonks notably has never been done, and we have strong hints she’ll be coming this wave. Kingsley and Myrtle were also notable exceptions until they leaked on the cmf series 2 package. Petunia and Dudley were also absent from the last Number Four set but rumored to come in this year’s, and Lavender Brown is new in the Astronomy Tower. There’s also: Lily Potter James Potter Percy Weasley Madam Pomfrey Parvati Patil Padma Patil Pansy Parkinson Rita Skeeter Kreacher Inferi Mundugus Fletcher Bill Weasley Xenophilius Lovegood and many others I parsed off the list of ‘importance’ - there are many more characters (notably death eaters and other students) who have a decent chance of turning up but who most people aren’t wishing for by name.
sebastian666 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Here is another shot of Tonks from the Magical Search & Find Adventure Book that shows off some of the beautiful torso printing Tonks could feature:
Zepthire Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 No James or Lily figures it's kind of shocking to me. I never really followed the pre 2018 releases of Lego HP so I guess I'd just assumed they'd been done without question.

I can only think of like a few scenes they could take inspiration from, 1 of which is just their images in a mirror so not really figures, which is exactly what we got. Second one is the scene in which they die, which is an obvious no go, and lastly the scenes where we see their spirit or something which is just kinda odd. Oh and I guess the Snape flashbacks from them as childs which really wouldn't make for an exciting set. The only way I can see them being made in the cmf series, but not before the main characters are being made. So like a series 3 or something.

I think a Hogwarts section that has figures based on Flashbacks would be great. Young Mauraders, Lily, Snape, and a spectating token Harry. Was that scene even in the HBP movie?
HalfBloodPrince Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Is it just me or the chamber of secrets that Brickbros made could be the way Lego does a chamber one day.

Despite my best hopes, Lego doesn't really like making non film scene sets. There is the chance for Quality Quidditch supplies, as I think I'm right in saying it was in the Diagon Alley micro scale set. Have a look at this clip I posted a few days ago: Magical Menagerie and Eeylops Owl Emporium are both in the clip from what I can see so should have the same chance as Quality Quidditch Supplies to be in the set I hope one of the pet shops make it

I think we will get Rita Skeeter, maybe Bill to. Maybe Tonks and Ginny (I know she have been in older set but not this wave) and some others like Draco. In that kind of expensive set I think lego will have some "exclusive" figures like the grounders in the D2C Hogwarts castle.

But the problem, I think, is that the shops you mentioned don't have any scenes of their own (they don't go inside). Gringotts, Ollivanders, WWW, Flourish & Blotts and Borgin & Burkes do. And with these wave of sets the designers are very film/screen accurate. So I don't think shops like Owl Emporium or Quality Quidditch Supplies stand a chance against the others of being made in a minifig scale set.
Crookshanks Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 (edited) And to discuss the set 75958. The rumors thats an iconic scene in the underground will be part of set 75958. I think It will be some scene of philosopher's stone and we will get Fluffy. In the book build your own adventure in capitel 5, we have forbidden forest in the first two pages and troll attack in the next two pages. And now we know that we will get graup in the forbidden forest set. In the next six pages we have Facing fluffy, devil's snare and wizard chess. I think lego will including Fluffy in the set 75958. Something I really really want, is the fat ladys portrait. It's included in the book build your own adventure to, I hope we will get a set with her included, if not this year then next year. Edited April 15, 2020 by Crookshanks Sorry, mixed togheter chamber of secrets and philosopher's stone.

While I agree with most you say, I think Borgin & Burkes only have a 50% chance of being in the set since it is strictly speaking not in DA, but it depends how they make it. If it is a street with houses on both sides I do not think it is included however if there are just random buildings like the old one it probably is.. So then we are left with 4 buildings and depending on the size that may end up with what we are getting, but if they are a little smaller it should be room for a couple of smaller shops and a part of the LC at least the brick wall.. Like a small modular street where you can move the buildings around and place them where you want

spiderfan2000 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 I am currently assuming that the Diagon Alley set will be a minifigure scaled version of the microscale set. I could see the Leaky Cauldron being included as well, but Borgin and Burkes isn't a direct part of Diagon Alley, and seems less likely to be included unless LEGO just decides to repeat what they did with the 2011 Diagon Alley. I assume there would be a small vault build for Gringotts, but I would hope it's just Year 1 based, as the whole Year 7 Lestrange Vault/ dragon escape scene would probably be better off as a separate set. Despite Quality Quidditch Supplies not having much of a role, LEGO seems to like it, considering it got it's own set in 2003 and was featured in the microscale set. I also think that there will likely be multiple Harrys included. If the Death Star set can include three Luke Skywalkers, I'm sure LEGO would include about three Harry Potters in a Diagon Alley set of comparable size. Presumably a Year 1 version with short legs, a Year 3 version with mid-legs, and a Year 6 version with regular legs. If LEGO does something like that, I would hope they don't do the same for Ron and Hermione, otherwise most of the minifigure lineup would end up being different variants of the trio, which would be unfortunate.

In the book we have ideas of Privat drive and Harry's room undet the stairs. Now we will have it in a set witch trustly leakers said. Another chapter is ideas of Diagon alley, gringotts bank, Olliwanders shop. And now the rumors of D2C diagon alley. And now the rumor of an iconic scen in the underground.
