We already get quite a lot of prints for $30,- set. The faces are always prints and given stickers peel off after a few years LEGO really can't get away with using a sticker for it

My bad haha- still brilliant tho- that means the old one keeps its rarity whilst also providing a different variant, thanks for telling me :)

That style of brick-built fig has appeared four times now, and while their body decorations tend to be stickered, the faces are always prints. That's reassuring although I hope there's some sort of print for his torso as well because if the stickers eventually peel off having no detail on the torso would look very odd. Looking at the way the Giant Man figure was constructed, which a leaker directly compared Grawp to, he could have the torso 2 x 4 plates a flesh / tan colour with printing on and then the sloped pieces on the side brown to recreate his waistcoat.
thenudeorganist Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Umbridge is brilliant! I've been pondering on whether or not to buy the Bricktober pack but now I'm pretty confident I'll pass on that since the most desirable figure for me was Umbridge. I'll bricklink the boggart Snape afterwards so that I don't need to spend 30€ on four minifigures out of which I only want two or three... I'm pretty concerned about Grawp. I can get that it is logical to use the "Giant-Man" style but it'll look very bulky and I'm not sure about the brick-built look on a character with essentially no clothes. I can't see it having a natural look. Anyhow, I hope I'm proven wrong. I'll probably get the set anyway. And if the face isn't printed, my Grawp will look rather funky. I'm otterly terrible at placing stickers... EDIT: For some reason I remembered Grawp having fewer clothes on... Anyhow, I still feel like he wouldn't look natural enough in a brick-built form. tafkatb Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Moreso than the Giant-Man, I'm looking at Ares from Wonder Woman Warrior Battle as a possible reference point for Grawp. What I'm really interested to see is how his hair will be done, since all the other brickfigs* have a hat or helmet - probably he'll use some of the same shaping techniques seen on BrickHeadz, with an assortment of 1x1 tiles and slopes. *I am hereby proposing brickfig, a contraction of brick-built big-fig, as the name for this style, since it's starting to become common enough that calling them "Giant-Man-style figures" every time will get too cumbersome.

Balrogofmorgoth Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Finally something to discuss! These figures look great! They went all out on Umbridge again

Zepthire Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Do Lego do a face with a grey walrus moustache? I forgot Slughorn doesn't have one in the movies and I'm considering replacing his head but my knowledge of Lego faces is pretty minimal? Edit: looks like the J. Jonah Jameson one is pretty much the only applicable one but he always looks miffed. Nvm Edited April 18, 2020 by Zepthire

deskp Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 I want that Ron t-shirt variant, if Lego does the arms right. it looks much. As for the CMF if they don't do quidditch Don, do Mclaggen, they we'd get a new character and being cmf it would have a unique face. dont print a number on the uniform and you can swap it out for anyone. I want the praetorian shoulder pads in brown so bad x]

Not having a number would 1) be inaccurate and 2) be useless because each team has only 1 Keeper and the Keeper is the only armored player. The Praetorian Guard armor would be cool to get in brown but I doubt they'll actually do it

But I’m getting ahead of myself, I’ll leave it at that. We can probably expect set reveals next week? Edited April 18, 2020 by Otherworld

But I also agree, I would LOVE to have quidditch ron (maybe in a future Quidditch themed battle pack).
MaxHeadroom Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 2 hours ago, AdriWho said: Those figures look great! Harry is my least favorite, it would be because for me it's the most boring outfit he wore for the movies hehehe. But I have some things to say: - How many Hux legs have been printed? OMG, they are present in a lot of sets now (not that I mind, but its curious) - Im afraid that Grawp would look TOO bulky :(, but I guess it seems it would be one of the best sets of the wave. - Since the AT is likely based on the Slug Party, the other two remaining figures Ron and Lavender do not belong to that particular scene. My take is their variants correspond to this scene (just a hunch) has anybody thought about that? I think the Ron in this set would be a good opportunity to make a Ron that would compliment the other members of the trio. We're only getting 4 sets based off of OOTP/HBP and the trio don't have matching outfits for 2 of those (Ron doesn't attend the Slug Club and Hermionie isn't there for the burrow burning (unless I've forgotten, it's been awhile since I last watched the movie)). This means we need a Ron to compliment the Hogwarts Robes figures (ROR) or the OOTP climax figures (GITFF). Throwing in a Ron from the OOTP climax wouldn't make sense but a robed Ron would since he wore his Hogwarts uniform at Hogwarts. Most importantly the striped green T-shirt with brown collar appears under his brown and green striped sweater in the burrow burning scene. I really doubt LEGO will go through the effort of giving us both sweater wearing and sweater less versions (we didn't get variants of Harry's blue jacket costume in wave 1). I'm almost certain we will only get 1 print for that HBP shirt. LEGO will choose one or the other. So we will either get Ron wearing his green t-shirt in both sets, wearing it under the sweater in both sets, or Hogwarts robes in one set and the shirt/sweater costume in another set. Personally I prefer the latter.

The most important (only important really) characters are Greyback, Bellatrix, Harry, Ginny, Molly, Arthur, Remus and Tonks so that's already a full lineup for a 100$ set. And if you want a robed Ron just make one like @deskp said. If there is one thing we don't need more of in this theme it's Gryffindor robes Just now, RealGeronimo11 said: Aw man, that's disappointing, given that's pretty much all I'm looking forward to.
