There's actually lots of hairs that originated from CMF series. I think the issue is probably more to do with licensing. That hair was designed specifically for a licensed Dorothy minifigure and probably isn't allowed to be used elsewhere.

You may be onto something with the licensed part. Maybe something like that is strictly to be used as it was meant to be. Looking at the split picture of her minifig & her character in that scene, without making a new hair i think they did the best they could. Assuming the intention was to add a bow. Otherwise, Swann’s hair would’ve been best. And there’s definitely has to be a skirt coming.

Some licensed character parts get reused, but that hair is very distinctive for Dorothy. It's the same reason I doubt we'll get the Elsa hair from Disney S2 ever again. Even if the character of Dorothy isn't copyrighted, Dorothy from the 1939 movie and her appearance in it is - same as how the specific shade of green used for the witch is copyrighted.

I'm most excited over the tower and greenhouse! I'm happy that we will get amazing figures in cmf otterwise! But for me it's the building in this set way more importent. Even if nice to get good looking minifigures. But I hope that they will make the Weasley's family good. And choose the version when Tonk's have pink hair even it's not accurate. (I hope one day that printed arms and legs would be standard for the mostly figs..) And i really like the centatures both faces! I could see them giving Fantastic Beasts another shot. It clearly didn't sell as well due to its early retirement, in fact I kinda wonder if it was just an "excuse" to bring back Harry Potter - people see the FB film, buy the FB sets and then move onto the HP sets - and so they just didn't need to continue with FB as there was clearly demand without it. I didn't buy Newt's Case, and every time I regret it, I think "but how would it fit in with the others?" and therefore I remember - just because the set exists doesn't mean I have to buy it. Same with the FB CMFs. I did buy the carriage - but that was solely to get the thestral and carriage, since it's very similar to the ones the students take to Hogwarts. So I bought it without FB even in mind. The good thing about this set is you could argue I have "two" thestrals now - one for Harry and Luna to be with in OotP and one invisible one pulling the carriage! Which is a pretty weird concept but makes sense. It's a shame that I feel this way about it - I think in terms of the Wizarding World, the FB plot is just as important as the HP plot (with Grindelwald, Dumbedlore, etc). But having only two sets from two movies allows little of this to realised. I think the fantastic beast helped bring up HP again. I'm glad that I get both of the fb set. It would be perfect to get Hagrid some magical creatures to a moc. And was very fun to build. I really don't know. They should be, as they will release in less than 2 months. But by then we might have seen all the figures already as it seems we are getting a new leak every day now. Either way I think it's save to assume we will have seen a lot of new stuff by the end of the week.

If that means that some of the figs do not get a top grade that is fine as long as we get a lot of new characters I am happy

We have an abundance of female heads & hairpieces, but we have zero centaurs(not saying Lavender suffered for the centaur). The centaur is such a great mold that has broad appeal.

And we got extremely lucky with the figures in the past so I can't really complain too much. Besides, the good quality figures this year still outnumber the bad ones. And we haven't even seen half of them yet.
