8fifty Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I can also remember back in 2018, when the HP sets were originally supposed to come out in July/August, they were revealed in May. That's why I doubt that we'll get images of the later wave that early.

Sorry didn’t see that when I was skimming through, but my point still stands that adding a chamber of secrets that in my opinion would have to be a mid to large scale set to be satisfactory would add quite a lot on to the price and then make it the most expensive wave

You have a fairly long span of time to purchase them, and they are often discounted. Everybody has their budget, but your budget is your own. Complaining about too many HP Lego sets on a topic dedicated to fans of HP Lego... Let people enjoy things.

Both sets could feature a big bad creature build for the minifigs to battle, which is notably absent from the current retail line-up. In the first wave, we got Aragog and a whole case of fantastic beasts. In the second wave, we got the Hungarian Horntail. Either of these sets could feature a big scary snake build: the Basilisk for CoS and the magic fire serpent for MoM. I just hope when Tom Riddle / Voldemort in the CoS or MoM set is confirmed, all the naysayers on here will eat a big slice of humble pie for adamantly refusing to accept the possibility that set 75978 was not the D2C. In that case you could say Grawp is a ''big bad creature'' as well. Sure he's not really evil but neither were the Fantastic Beasts and the Horntail

You may be right about the minifigure, but my reasoning is not based on blind optimism. I said that I would prefer we don't get a Chamber of Secrets this year, because there are already too many expensive sets for me. The nature of the anagram hints toward that scene in the Chamber of Secrets, as does the "underground" clue. Heck, there could be a Ministry Battle set and a second D2C Chamber of Secrets that we don't know about. Unlikely? Yes, but we really just don't know at this point. But wait....what if the "underground" location is nothing more than The Burrow? Burrows are underground!!

I wasn't complaining about having too many sets and I definetely didn't say people shouldn't enjoy this, otherwise I wouldn't be here in the first place. Ever heard of the word 'opinion'? I'm not the only one who would prefer getting a CoS set in another wave
UKFan922 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I really hope next year we get some awesome DH sets as we hardly got any. After that, I hope they go back to movie 1 and fill in some of those gaps.

I have said multiple times that I hope there are no more hidden HP sets this year, but that doesn't mean I'm formally arguing against them, nor do I mean to discount the opinions of others. Also, I don't work for The LEGO Group, so my hopes mean absolutely nothing!

lego_guyon02 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Btw I doubt Harry Potter will leak before Ninjago (the full wave that is) and Hidden Side given they are in-house themes
Falconfan1414 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 I’m shocked people want it to be a chamber of secrets considering it will probably be not a large set considering the burrow and astronomy tower

I certainly wouldn’t complain if it happened but yikes

And that would bring the parts count up and naturally, the price as well

Having the Hall as the Chamber itself with 1 side being open and the snake heads on the other side, the ''courtyard'' in front of the hall could be turned into the door and its surrounding area and then the tower could be replaced with pipes running up to Myrtle's bathroom. If done well I think they could do this on a $100 budget
