RogueTwo Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Actually, if the sets are available to pre-order on April 30, I don't really care when they are released. My main concern right now is limiting/spacing out my purchases. And this way (glass of Butterbeer half full) we in the United States will get the sets about the same time as we all get Diagon Alley. So no one really loses out that much. So I suspect we will see one or two more retail sets in August (probably the Ministry battle). Anyone know when the D2C will be available for pre-order?
lego_guyon02 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I feel bad for the US people too, stay strong guys! Holden Brickfield Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Looking at the box art for the AT, it’s quite ominous as Draco is peeping out from the top of the tower

The good thing is I should be back to work by then so I’ll be able to afford them more Still sucks, but I suppose that’s the silver lining

BacktoBricks Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I love the Burrow! Are those window panes printed or stickers? What do people think? I'm guessing stickers like the mermaid in the CT. Stunning detail though.
Thieda Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 When will these sets be available for pre-order on LEGO shop?

Also noticed the play feature relating to the letter that you slide down using a cog piece! Wow
Arutha Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Wow ! This is an awesome wave. I really love the locations and the minifigures.

topiku Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I have always expressed my thoughts on the entire wave so here you go if you want to read it! :) Room of Requirement: 8/10 - Nice little $20 set, love the figures and new molds! Grawp set: 8,5/10 - Looove these figures! Grawp doesn‘t look too bad either. Pretty good! Hedwig: 6/10 - The head looks a bit weird, nothing I‘ll buy most likely Privet drive: 7/10 - Haven‘t seen the interior but I wish the building had a bit more depth to it. Figures are pretty good. Car is the same. Astronomy Tower: 8/10. - Great build, like the look of it for sure. But like last year I don‘t like when the figures have a special theme to them in these sets (Yule Ball, Slughorn party). Wish we‘d get standard uniform minifigures. Still pretty good The Burrow: 10/10 - This has to be the best Harry Potter set ever. The colours look beautiful, interior is amazing and the structure looks exactly like in the movies. A Masterpiece

Balrogofmorgoth Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I really like that the new Hedwig mold is in 5 of these sets!
sammy_zammy Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) Room of Requirement: I like that they packed features into the wall! It's clever how they made it so it's not just the room, it's also the educational decrees, and the sliding wall is super cool. It's nice that it connects and has a fireplace. However I can't help but feel a little disappointed there's not many "objects" in the room but I understand it's a small set. Forbidden Forest: I actually really like the Grawp approach. It's nice to get a much taller tree. The centaurs look fantastic! Although I feel it could've done with a small shrubbery build just to bulk it out a little personally. Privet Drive: wow, this is fantastic! It's super compact lol and only has the necessary rooms, but that makes it clear they were trying to keep the price as low as possible which I respect, and it prevents pointless stuff. The build is beautiful outside and the details and colours inside are great. The texture on the roof is amazing. And it's just asking for people to buy two and put it on hinges to open up lol. Astronomy Tower: wow, this is amazing! They've captured the shape SO well, and there's so much going on inside! I like that they've added that other structure as well (not sure what it's called - I was worried they were gonna just add walls. And the greenhouse is super cute. I'm in love, best Hogwarts set yet! Buildable Hedwig: I'll probably pass. It looks a little weird to me but I think it's well designed and the play feature is cool. But I'd just rathe spend my money on other sets. The Burrow: WOW. It's beautiful! So colourful, so detailed inside and out, I don't think we could've asked for more. Amazing! Now for this to get lost amongst everyone else's thoughts lol Edited April 28, 2020 by sammy_zammy
deskp Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 LOL, they printed both a head and a torsos for a training dummy! WAS THAT WELL SPENDT BUDGET? lavender disagrees. Omg that hair on molly is so bad, gimme harmione hair in orange already x]
RogueTwo Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 If I pre-order these sets and they become available in United States shops before my package ships from LEGO, would I have the option to cancel? Has anyone ever tried to cancel a pre-order from LEGO Shop?
ItamatTheGreat Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 well these are amazing! it is just so fun and fresh to see this iconic package design return with some new sets to fill it, nevermind the quality of the sets. but the quality is amazing! yeah grawp kinda looks weird but the set is pretty good over all. hedwig looks bad for sure, and the angle they chose to present it from - when you can see only one eye. that is strange. it also is a bummer that there is another ford as I and probably a lot here already have one. BUT the burrow and the astronomy tower and the room of requirements and the acutal private drive all look great! and the figures are awesome all around! can't wait!
strangely Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 The Burrow has the self knitting needles, that's brilliant!
