I wonder if they're printed, I did think the colour looked a bit too similar to the other Mandrake pieces They are just 1x1 cylinders, I highly doubt they'll be printed as that would make Prof Sprout's mandrake pretty much useless

I'll probably get everything day one bar Hedwig, brickheads (just not interested) Privet Drive, and maybe GITFF (I'll put $100 worth of sets off as I'll need something for the GWP). Well, I'll get everything day 1 if it's available at Barnes and Noble and I can use a 10% discount. Also I hate to spoil the fun but where is The ministry battle/chamber of secrets/Bassilisk expansion pack/UCS dobby's sock mystery set Kingnono mentioned? it was probably for the august wave so i'd say it is logical that there are no pictures of it yet

Looks like July 1 for everything except The Burrow, and then The Burrow on August 1:https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/attack-on-the-burrow-75980 I fully expect the LEGO website to crash and change approximately seven times between now and then, though.
Legoniche Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Right- first of all, these are absolutely gorgeous! Here are my thoughts: the room of requirements: perfect, I can’t fault this, in terms of minifigures, Luna is brilliant, Hermione is perfect, love that she gets a new cardigan print- and love the new Harry in this, the print is perfect and I didn’t expect Lego to do it, the mini figures, including the death eater statue is perfect. The build, in my eyes, is also perfect, absolutely adore the fireplace, and the board with the pictures is wonderful. Absolutely adore this set. This is a day 1 purchase for me. 10/10 Forbidden forest: umbridge encounter: again, I absolutely love this. Dolores umbridge is brilliant, I was lucky enough to get the bricktober pack so I can that version of her to my room of requirements. Hermione is great as well. The centaurs are beautiful- love the new mould, a plus for sure. Harry, I must confess, I’m a little disappointed in. Seeing as the CMF version features a dark grey jacket and this is light grey, however I don’t know why I’m complaining since the more accurate version comes in the CMF, which I plan to get a whole box of! So I’ll have the spares- also that torso was way too good and reminiscent of the scene not to use- I actually just made that Harry seeing as it’s a fairly common torso. The tree build is decent, nothing too special, Great to add to the other trees! Grawp is fantastic though, really love how he came out! Love the face and the proportions. This is a day 1 purchase for sure! 8/10 4 privet drive: wow, I love the composition of this set- and just the way it looks I’m general, I think it’s beautiful. I’m upset that Harry is a repeat from 2018. In the scene Harry has a different jumper on, Ron I believe is the same. Could have done with a new Harry torso here. Dobby is great as always, nothing much to say. Not too bothered about the reuse of the torso for Vernon, but it would have been nice to have some indication of his weight. Love his new face! Petunia is okay, she looks how I expected her to look, along with Dudley- they’re pretty average for me! The house build is great tho! Love the foliage on the outside, love the way it’s put together, love the privet drive sign- would have liked a few more owls however. I don’t necessarily care for the car, but it’s necessary and I don’t mind- the upgrade seems pointless, but nice none the less. The interior is so cozy and lovely- and yes it would have been nice to have some suggestion of a kitchen and the couches may not be accurate enough in colour, but lovely builds, lovely fireplace and bedroom, love the stairs and cupboard. Overall love it a lot! Day 2 purchase for me 7.8/10 the burrow: now, when I first saw this- 2 things went through my head, 1) my head is exploding this is beautiful, and 2) this is so much better than the old one. The mini figures are to me, a disappointment- I hold the same opinion on bellatrix as the majority: great torso, needs dress print and the new face- meh. Love the fenrir greyback- Harry is disappointing, since he is the same as he one in the grawp set- I would have loved his classic HBP Red jacket and grey shirt. Molly is lovely aside from the hair, she really needed Hermiones yr 1/2 2018 hair :(, as for tonks, she needed molly’s Hair in dark brown, but I’m not TOO bothered about that, she’s nice nonetheless. Arthur is brilliant, Ron is brilliant- lovely to get Ginny as well- not too sure about her torso however... BUT all my disappointments in the figures are more than made up for in the set itself! Wow! The way it’s built to give it that slant and lean, the accuracy, all the new prints, the amount of rooms, the size and detail! It’s truly beautiful! Day 1 purchase for me! 8.7/10 the astronomy tower: when I saw this for the first time, I thought it was absolutely beautiful! My favourite part of this set is the build itself. Harry is fine- love the prints, same for Hermione and Luna and Neville. They’re each accurate and great for the collection! Slughorn is fine IMO, nice to get another variation from my bricktober variant! Lavender is really disappointing, her face and hair are extremely inaccurate for me, her torso is nice- what I’ll do is use dorothy’s Face and hair for lavender. Ron is meh, but very disappointed he doesn’t have dual arms- this would have made him a 10/10 for me, at the current he’s a 5/10- that’s what the arms would have done. Malfoy is perhaps my biggest disappointment in the set. I find his hair to be entirely inaccurate. I don’t like his face, I don’t like the fact that he is wearing slytherin robes - I LOVE the fact we get slytherin robes, but he needed to be in black suit. The exterior of the set is beautiful, absolutely wonderful, my favourite of all the sets in this wave build wise- however I’m not sure how I feel about the increase in sand green- tho it’s not too abundant. The greenhouse is lovely, but would have liked it if it was separate. Will be putting my Neville year 2 and sprout in there. The entrance area is okay- it’s what I expected, nothing much more could have been done there. I don’t like how bare the bottom floor of the astronomy tower is- I would have liked to have gotten a vanishing cabinet in one of The spaces there. I like slughorns office, very nice and appropriate. I dislike the fact we get ravenclaw common room- I would have vastly preferred it if this was the boys bathroom- so Harry and Draco could duel here. He astronomy section is decent enough- I love the area Ron and lavender kiss, especially from the exterior, it’s really accurate and it’s nice to have these little spaces. However it seems a little cramped- but I do love it. Overall I think the shaping of this set and the build is phenomenal- however I’m not happy with the minifigure selection or the interior selection- I would have preferred the minfigures be: snape from HBP Dumbeldore from HBP Bellatrix harry red jacket slughorn (same version from set) Hermione casual from HBP Ron (same version in the set) lavender (same version in the set) malfoy (black suit and better hair) but I adore this segment as a segment of hogwarts. It is a day 1 purchase for me 9/10

MaxHeadroom Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Also why is Hermionie's hair different between sets? She uses the 2010 hair in 2 sets and the 2019 hair in 1 set.
Legoman123 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I’ll write my full opinions on the sets later but overall what an amazing wave. One of my favourite little bits is the sliding wall over the door in the ROR. Slightly disappointed we didn’t get an extra level on the AT as I wanted a common room and a dorm area.

Brickity Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Ahh, woke up in a good mood today and thought... these pictures WILL come out sooner than expected. *proceeds to check the ig* What can I say? The sets look fantastic! The detail is aaamazing. Kind of disappointed with the figures, but I don’t really care... I understand this reboot has been giving us a lot more detail in the sets and more characters.
UKFan922 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Did y'all notice that the Harry in the Burrow looks exactly like the CMF version except his cardigan is open?

Micmac Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Loving all the sets but i would have ditched the car in privet drive and made that cake scene properly with a bloated round aunt and her dog. They really should have given lavender a fabric skirt piece.
Anak Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 In the Astronomy Tower set are they eating poop cakes?!
RandomSniper109 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I’ve noticed the burrow is in the uk website, but without a picture and it doesn’t come up under the Harry Potter category

If you are, that's great, I just suspect it will hit clearance way sooner than the others. At least it's well-priced, unlike, say, D-O from Star Wars. Having seen it it's done nothing to make me any more interested in it. I think I'll just have it as a Christmas gift because I'm a completest and it will look cute on my bookshelf.
AdriWho Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I'm wondering if those smooth pieces on top of the walls in the RoR are there on purpose. Who's thinking about buying two to get a more enclosed scenery?
UKFan922 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 1 hour ago, RogueTwo said: I'm not literally crying, but this has been possibly the worst year in living memory, and I really could use a distraction. Two months is a long time when no one knows what's going to happen. (By the way, the "entitled Yank" thing was supposed to be self-deprecating, I'm glad people took it well. ) Wow that really sucks. I just automatically read June in USA and Europe. I don't understand why? It's like how we made to wait a month for the 2018 wave in the UK. Sorry. :(
MaxHeadroom Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I'm slightly disappointed by the inclusion of the R common room. I know we were warned about it but I thought the leaker might have made a mistake. I would have preferred the G common room with the fireplace/Sirius play feature we saw with the 2010/2007 castles. I also would've preferred Umbridge's office. I suppose those are more OOTP than HBP and this line is trying to be accurate but then I look and the Ron figures. We seriously don't have a single accurate Ron from OOTP/HBP. The AT Ron has those strange long sleeves and the Burrow Ron is wearing his costume from POA instead of the sweater over the AT shirt like in the movie. I knew we wouldn't get a new print for the sweater but they could've at least included the AT figure with the burrow so it could be a bit closer to the actual film.

SupesBatsy Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 One question: why the Burrow is not on the LEGO website? Wanted to check the european prices and the release date!
Foxes Productionz Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 The sets all look fantastic this year, as they have been since the revival. Unfortunately there are no uses of the medium size legs in this wave.

Probably, the uk prices are cheaper than I was expecting, makes the prices a bit more reasonable for some of the ones I’m not as excited about Does anyone know what the piece holding the mushroom to the tree is in the grawp set, the sand green bit?
