It could go either way honestly. I think the biggest obstacle for that though is that Padma was changed to a Gryffindor in the movies and the trio of Ravenclaw boys in the DA were cut, so that really limits the named Ravenclaw students that could be included.

I have all 3 hogwarts sets from the new waves. I also have lots of the old sets.(troll sert, Cos...) During my childhood I collected all the 2010-11 sets. I connect the yule ball to the empty section on the great hall side

I was going to add it to the Great Hall but it threw off the floor plan shape. I’ll probably end up removing the dancing mechanism and use it as a corner wall piece.

That looks great! Definitely the best configuration of the parts of the castle I’ve seen

I rewatched OotP the other day and I saw a boy with long dark hair in the DA who fitted the description of Michael Corner, Ginnys ravenclaw boyfriend in the books but I might be mistaken. Also as the set is called Hogwarts students it could just contain unnamed characters like the Lego game.

That is Michael Corner, the blond kid is also supposed to be Zacharias Smith. 

Ernie MacMillain, Hannah Abbot, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Le Anne and Marcus Belby are the other Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw to have speaking roles I believe, with Penelope Clearwater being a background character in CoS and Roger Davies as Fleur's dance partner in GoF.

My preference for a Hogwarts Students pack would be four different packs, one for each house - one jumper, one robes, one quidditch and perhaps one Herbology jacket. 

If this is indeed a Students pack with one per house, all jumpers would be best I reckon.

I think that would be everyone's preference, we really need more army builder sets for this theme

Assuming there would be a figure from each house I definitely think the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff figures would have the standard jumpers but I'm not sure about the Gryffindor and Slytherin ones. One trend I've noticed in other minifigure packs is that there's at least one figure with unique printing as well so I think there could be a unique torso print for one of the houses - maybe a Slytherin torso printed with a scarf? (a look which is very present in Quidditch matches). However, it is possible that to make all the figures consistent they all just have the same style of jumper without robes or a coat printed over it. 

Apart from by houses I also think there will be equal representation in gender, with different looks for each figure like the Microfigures from the board game: 

But I also think just like the students in the CMF there will be more inclusion as well. I expect two or at least one figure to have a black or asian Lego skin-tone present in just the hands and the head piece, like Dean Thomas and Cho Chang from the cmf. Hopefully this will make it easier to customise characters like Angelina Johnson, Blaize Zabini, Lee Jordan and Lavender Brown from the first two films (heh ).

I'm really lacking in black and asian skin-toned minifigs so getting more would be great. As for the specific minifgss, I don't care if they're based on characters or not. I don't have any Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw torsos (when the Great Hall came out, I didn't have the money for it) so any torsos that aren't Slytherin or Gryffindor would be wonderful.

Yeah, I don't actually expect it to be a minifg pack. My thoughts were just that IF it was, then I would like it to have more diversity.

The only concrete rumor we have is that it's based on OotP, it would make sense for Sirius to be included but there are currently no rumors about his inclusion. Fred and George are expected to come in Diagon Alley but that's not confirmed either although it would, once again, make sense.

The new book "Witches, wizards, creatures, and more" will include Voldemort and nagini and will be released in autumn. Is it a new variant of Voldemort and nagini?

Have it been released other hp books with exclusive minifigs/parts from 2018 and forward?

Isn‘t that just the minifig from the graveyard set with the basilisk from the microscale Hogwarts? Or am I thinking of the wrong book?

No, you're right. In the book, Nagini isn't printed which is probably a bummer for those who are getting the book.

I'm hoping for maybe a couple of Student packs which could be something like:

1. Seamus Finnigan, Angelina Johnson with Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson.

2. Justin Finch Fletchly, Ernie MacMillan with Penelope Clearwater and Marcus Belby.

I would want a copious sets like these where we have a few similar robe designs but with the varying house colours, and maybe some robes that look a like more like those in the RoR set.

I doubt a lot of these characters would appear, but they could make a few generic students with varying ages and races.

Love the idea of a ‘student pack’ of figures, hope if true the builds they come with is something useful like bookcases and maybe those stone torch ‘braziers’

I hope we will get a student pack! But I have a feeling we dont get all the houses in their robes.. More like Harry, Luna, Neville, Draco. With Luna and Draco in their robes or something like that, but I hope I have wrong.

You probably have right. It's look like the same basilisk from Hogwarts and Voldemort from the graveyard set. Then I don't need to buy it.. :)
