I hope it’s not, I’d love to be able to get it, but what set could it really come in now that we’re getting the Dursley’s house this year, it appears in 2 major scenes at 2 major locations and we’re getting both of those this year lmao (Dursley house 1 and start of Battle of the Seven Potters and Burrow end of Battle of the Seven Potters) unless we get a BoSP type of battle pack a la Star Wars battlepacks with a few builds and an exclusive Moody (no Crouch Jr face) and a few others (maybe Mundungus)

Considering that Lego has made  the Hogwarts minifigure pack, a battle pack isn't entirely out of the question. Unless we get figures with exclusive printing, it will probably be while before we see any set based around the  Seven Potter's.  After all most of the figures have or are being released.  It's why I'm personally glad that they didn't do Privet drive centered around Order of the Phoenix

Hi everyone sorry if this has been posted, but is there a set date when the harry potter student 'battle pack' is going to released and how much for in the UK, ive only seen the set on ebay for upwards of £20 but no stores seem to be advertising it?

Cheers

It's on Lego S@H - June 1st, £13.49

I don't think that Sirius' bike for Hagrid is entirely out of the question.

Hagrid on Sirius’ bike is definitely not out of the question. The topic came up in yesterday’s Q&A with Marcos Bessa, the lead designer for the new LEGO Harry Potter series, and he said he is hoping they can nail the design for a bike that works with the Hagrid minifig soon.

Right now, Marcos said Hagrid’s arms open a bit too wide when he raises them up for the standard motorcycle design. So it sounds like they’ve already started playing around with new designs and how to work out the flaws.

I can totally see us getting a set with Hagrid and Harry in the side car being pursued by a death eater and Voldemort minifigs with the smoky black Dementor leg pieces next year. Probably no Hedwig in that set though ?

Just watched the AT Speed Build, the mandrakes have printed faces.

Is that  the same print that will appear in the CMF with Sprout?

True, I hope that it happens because there are characters in that set that would be ideal to get there (Dung, Bill, DH Weasley twins) and I’m actually the opposite, I wish Privet Drive had been OotP or DH, I know it would’ve meant we wouldn’t get Kingsley or Tonks in the CMF, BUT I would happily sacrifice them in the CMF to have gotten them in Privet Drive

Yeah, I don't think that Hedwig dying would be included.  But it's cool that  Lego is playing around with the idea.  I hope something comes of it

Yeah, I mentioned earlier that it was on a designer’s Q&A but I couldn’t remember his name (thank you for reminding me, lmao)

I think there are more important characters needed in a set like that than Voldemort and a Death Eater, like we definitely need a plain clothes Bill Weasley (mention plain clothes because a wedding set is possible) and Mundungus (unless we’re getting Grimmauld Place in which he could come)

Yeah but then they wouldn't be as detailed and then the Dursley's  might have had to be sacerficed since they aren't in that scene.

Dursley’s in CMF replacing Tonks and Kingsley (and someone else for Dudley) and tbh, whilst I agree they might not be as highly detailed, I don’t necessarily think they need to be that detail, sure Kingsley needs a new hat, but aside from that they could definitely do them in a set ?

However the Dursley's don't  new molds ( except maybe one for Vermon's hair)

They’d have enough of a budget to do a new hat piece for Kingsley, tbh, if they did it as a DH set they could’ve gotten away with it because the Tonks in that set would be the same as The Burrow, and they could reuse the Kingsley hat from the CMF or just not include him (as there are other more important characters in that scene in DH), plus they then could’ve put the Dursley’s in the series 3 CMF (if 2 sells well enough) and this year wouldn’t have included a random year 2 set ??

I can't tell, since the image isn't clear enough, but I think it's highly likely to be the same

Well that would be kind of disappointing but I guess there aren't many ways in which it could have been printed differently.

They would Have had to do Privet drive at some point though. Although it is weird that they chose to do it for this year.

Yes, where does the battle of the Seven Potters start in DH pt1? ?

Privet Drive, Hagrid sized motorbike, Bill, Dung, Kingsley, Moody ??

I would kill for a #12 Grimmauld Place set. The best MOC that I’ve seen of it so far was for a contest entry in last year’s LEGO Ideas Harry Potter Holiday Scene contest:

Yeah it was Dh part 1.  That would make a good set but unfortunately this is not  not the early  2000s where people would be fine with getting a house with done of he characters that reside in it.

Honestly same, I think it’s our best bet for an OotP Sirius (favourite character) because it’s either be that or the Ministry and we know why he won’t be in that set *cough* Cedric Diggory *cough*

God that is such a beautiful MOC.  Lego  would not be able to do it justice.

Well the unkown set could be based on that scene.

I think they would be, if it came with characters that are more desirable than the Dursleys, the thing is, whilst Lego is aimed at kids, the fans that really matter (the people that were kids when HP first came out) are adults now and they would definitely go for sets that that A) great display pieces and B) feature characters that are wanted, and Moody (without Crouch Jr), Mundungus, Bill and updated twins are definitely more desirable than the Dursleys

While that true that leaves out all the kids that are now fans of Harry Potter

It could be, but they wouldn’t include Sirius because he dies, I reckon we’d get updated Neville, Ginny, (civilian) Luna, Harry (obviously) maybe a couple of order members, OotP Lupin, possibly Moody, a couple of Death Eaters, at least Lucius, and then maybe Voldy/Dumbles

It doesn’t really leave them out though, because kids would find wizards more desirable than muggles, as a child what would you rather have, A) amazing wizard with bright purple robes and a wand, or B) fat man with moustache ??

That's true

I think it’s fairly realistic too tbh, mainly because they are the most important characters in that scene, unless they’re doing it based purely on the battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort it could be Dumbles, Voldy, Potter, Fudge and a couple of Ministry officials with the statue/fountain as a build ?
