Then again, why would anyone keep up this charade for multiple months?

I don't get it either...

I hope at least the info about the DA D2C is correct, otherwise I‘d have to sharpen my pitchfork :devil_laugh:

Where and when?

I personally wouldn’t be too bothered about getting more shops, but I’d love to get more detailed shops, like a better interior for them all, but like you said, tastes differ ☺️

Of course you're right, detailed shops are important as well!

Don’t forget the ferret bag ??, the only thing I would dislike about Moody would be the fact he’d no doubt have BCJr as an alternate face again ?

Just because the minifigures on the front of the box are Yule Ball themes doesn't rule out OOP Sirius surely? There are more than just three figures coming in the calendar and not all the characters in the last calendar were from the same movie or scene. Or am I missing something?

Exactly! I never got that though... The kilt implies he‘s Scottish, but Brendan Gleeson doesn‘t hide his Irish accent in the slightest  Or is it subtle foreshadowing that this isn‘t the real Moody and instead Scotsman David Tennant? :head_back:

I honestly don’t know why people think OotP Sirius would come in the AC, I’m pretty sure they’d save him for an actual OotP set, like Grimmauld Place or something like that

Kilts aren’t only Scottish ?, there are Irish, Cornish, Welsh and Scottish kilts

Interesting, never heard of them before. Appears to be a more recent tradition

Agreed, OotP Sirius wouldn‘t fit in this year’s calendar at all. Maybe next year :shrug_oh_well:

Scottish and Irish is traditional, Scottish was first by about 100 years, then Ireland so both are fairly old

taken from Wikipedia: “Although not a traditional component of national dress outside Scotland or Ireland, kilts have become recently popular in the other Celtic nations as a sign of Celtic identity. Kilts and tartans can therefore also be seen in Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Brittany and Galicia. Although not considered a Celtic region, Northumbrian kilts in border tartan have also been adopted.”

Do we already have date for the CMF release?

Do you think is going to be delayed due the Coronavirus outbreak?

(Sorry if this was already mentioned but this thread is too long)

I’m more hoping we get Grimmauld Place as a set with Sirius, maybe Christmas Arthur etc

I don’t believe anything is being delayed because of the Virus from the Harry Potter line ☺️

According to Kingnono it was mid August for retailers and September for Lego shops. But how the things turned out...

It does actually. Not completely, but if they go Yule Ball, they go Yull Ball all the way.

He also said that the whole calendar was OoTP themed.

I really hope kingnono makes a post responding to this. I’m very interested in what he would say. Did he mix it up with something else? Was this info something he got from another source that was incorrect? Did he get this info from the same source as the rest of his info? I’m very curious to find out if we can still trust his info

I’ve commented on his post about the AC being OotP and he hasn’t responded yet ?

No one's mentioned it yet, but if you look on the top flap of the box (the side where the "Actual Size" render is), you can see a figure of Yule Ball Hermione (Pink Top, Magrnta Bottom). The skirt looks thicker, so I imagine it,'s the new skirt piece, just like Parvati. So that brings our figure count to four, out of a potential seven or so.

I honestly can’t see it well enough to tell if it’s her

It still looks like Parvati to me, the hair looks black, the same as on the front

I think I’m ok with the trio being repeats from the Clock tower, because this means that the budget for new pints etc will go into the other figures (both twins for sure). So going by last year as a guide we have 2 mystery figures, one of which could also have new printing and/or recolours

He can‘t be a complete fraud since he got the Burrow and its minifig selection right :classic: ...unless he just got lucky there. Maybe @Balrogofmorgoth is right and his sources - whatever they may be - did mix things up. That being said, unless we get more information from other sources, I will take the current rumours with a huge grain of salt

Exactly. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now, this is the only thing he’s gotten wrong so far (even though it’s one of the more specific things he said). But I will also now be taking everything he has said and says from now on with a big grain of salt. It’s also strange that he hasn’t responded to it yet. His reputation is very much on the line here, and if he cares about that, he’ll say something

The thing is, the figures in the Burrow are kind of obvious choices,

Mr and Mrs Weasley; both obviously integral to the Burrow

Bellatrix and Fenrir; main attackers in HBP

Harry and Ginny; integral to the attack scene in HBP

Tonks -Lupin; Both integral to that scene BUT we have gotten Lupin both before in the HP overall theme and in the first wave of these sets and Tonks has never been done before

They could all be easily guessed and I reckon he definitely just got lucky

I would say let's give him the chance to explain himself. Maybe there is something reasonable that speaks for him. Anyway, what will be, will be.

Sure, the selection seems obvious (*cough* hindsight bias *cough*), but I don‘t think anyone was expecting 8 minifigs in that set. Besides, wasn‘t he the first one to confirm a Burrow set? There was that discussion shortly after the Nuremberg Toy Fair, but only because a German youtuber confused the Weasleys with the Dursleys. After that, nobody spoke of a Burrow set until _kingnono_ brought it up. Or am I forgetting something? :shrug_oh_well:

I’m a skeptic, having been a leaker myself I don’t trust anyone that has had something go wrong for them, educated guesses are just that, guesses, 8 figures isn’t all that unbelievable, there was 6 in the 2010 set and all of them are the same as in the 2020 set aside from Ron and Tonks, unless he has a valid explanation I won’t be listening to anything else he says

Fair enough. You’re right, this discrepancy definitely requires a convincing explanation. His hints and the discussion they inspired were fun and all, but if he turns out to be a fraud, I‘m going to be mad.
