If anyone in the US is looking to buy the sets early, Zavvi.com has most of them and I’ve heard their items arrive quickly after shipping. I just ordered the new Destiny’s Bounty from them but haven’t bit the bullet on the HP sets yet since most are overpriced except the Astronomy Tower, although the Grawp set is only $2 more. I’ve still got sets to build from March and April and need to take apart a ton of stuff as I’m preparing to move, and I figure if I’m going to pay full price for the sets I might as well do it in August when I can get VIP points. Let’s see if I can resist temptation though!

Ooh, you're right, this is tempting, but i'm in the same boat as you in saving for VIP Points in August. Thanks for the website if I change my mind though!

For everyone saying there's no info on the polybag's release: it releases in stores on July 1st and will retail for 5 euro (idk about $), we've known this since the polybag leaked.

I got the Student pack & seeing as this Cho has a different colored wand & face as the CMF one, she just became a random Ravenclaw student.

I can't really tell what color the wand is supposed to be from the pictures but Cho's skincolor is the same between the Accessory Pack and the CMF. The used skintone isn't accurate to the movies though

I just reply on what I'm sure about :classic:

Unfortunately, all these questions can be answered with either "no" or "nothing" - so you haven't really missed anything  It is possible (or even likely) that 75978 doesn't exist except it's the set number for the D2C. But there seem to be no further indications for an additional set.

They are exclusive at the moment, yes.

Thanks!

Over 70 pages from the middle of may and so little news :laugh_hard:

I hope 75978 is a another set then D2C..

I can’t weigh in on how things will be done in Europe, but:

- no official news on when the polybag will release

- so far all we know about September’s CMF is what we saw on the leaked package

- Most leakers were claiming that 75978 is the D2C before kingnono came along, and with him discredited most people are going back to assuming that’s the case, especially since as time goes on it gets less and less likely that we wouldn’t have heard about a regular retailer exclusive set.

- no news on the Hagrid and Buckbeak brickheadz, but there hasn’t been much brickheadz news recently (if you don’t count the news that some of the assumed brickheadz sets were actually accessory packs), so I wouldn’t be totally surprised if there was a very short turnaround time between the images dropping and the official release

Thanks!

I hope we will get Hagrid and buckbeak as Brickheadz then another accessory pack even if I like the student pack to.

I just received the students pack and I compared Cho from the pack with the one from the 1st CMF and I can confirm that their skin colour is identical. As for the wands, all 4 students from the pack use the same dark brown wand. While Cho from the CMF uses a reddish brown wand.

Cho’s hair from the student pack is more like her GOF style whereas the hair in the CMF Cho is like her OOTP style. I don’t mind having both styles for her at all, I’ll just swap the legs

Got a big box of HP sets today, quick thoughts on the two smaller ones I built already:

Room of Requirements: Nice little build, like the fireplace. Figs are ok, hare & otter are good, love the dummy! The proclamations are great, almost wish we would get a booster pack with 50 of them :D

Forbidden Forest: Tree is nice and different build than we are used to, Grawp is cool. Love the centaurs! Umbridge & Hermione are good. Harry is in multiple sets so not too exciting.

Out of curiosity, for those who already have the Room of Requirement, are the hare and otter hollow? None of the leaked or official pictures have show the undersides, but it kind of looks like they’re both hollow and open at the bottom, as opposed to a solid piece of plastic like other animals of that size.

Both of them are hollow

I couldn’t resist temptation and bought all the sets from Brickshop. They have the Burrow back in stock for pre-orders shipping on Friday June 12th, and overall the entire purchase was only $20 over the US retail prices so I couldn’t resist. It says expected delivery is June 16th-24th. Does anyone have experience with Brickshop ordering and delivery times? Thanks!

I do, it's a very good store to order from and I've done so multiple times. Their deliveries have always been really fast but it's a Dutch shop so it will undoubtedly take longer for you to get your order.

I ordered the Forbidden Forest set from Brickshop last night and it shipped out first thing this morning. Already got a tracking email from DHL saying it’s ETA is Monday 6/15.

I ordered the Astronomy Tower from eBay seller in the UK yesterday, too, and the seller said ETA is Friday 6/12. I haven’t received tracking to confirm that though.

Also ordered the Room of Requirement and Hedwig from Steinchenwelt, but there was a mixup on combining the shipping, which they are getting sorted now so I don’t have an ETA yet.

Man I wish somebody told me this before dropping close to $200 on the Astronomy Tower :roflmao:. But I’ll probably pick up the Forbidden Forest and Room of Requirements from them, might bite on the 4 Privet Drive as well

Awesome, glad to hear they’re shipping stuff out quickly! Since the Burrow isn’t expected until June 12th they’ll hold off until everything ships together but I’m fine with waiting a week or two since I’ve got so much other stuff to do anyway.

The Astronomy Tower only went up a few days ago, but yeah I’d never pay that much to get a set early.

That’s also good to hear! Have your boxes been in good condition? I’m sure it’ll be a different story with overseas shipping but that’s something I was curious about.

They've always arrived in perfect condition, I've never had a problem with them before

All right, all right...I might cave and buy from Brickshop.eu.  Quick question, for those of you from the US who have ordered there: When I created an account, they asked for my zip code and city name, but there was no field to enter my state.  I assume that's enough information to deliver, but I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

I’m also from the US and considering biting the bullet and ordering from Brickshop.eu. I’ve never ordered anything internationally before, so (forgive me if this is way off topic) but how would you go about paying in euros with, say, a PayPal account?

Wow, that’s super fast! Time to crack down and sort out all the other dismantling and building I have to do before these come!

I auto filled my information and kinda thought it was weird that they didn’t ask for a state, but I guess the ZIP code would tell them what state you’re in even if there’s another city and street with the same name in another one.

I believe PayPal converts currency for you, as I’ve had no problem ordering from several different countries in different currencies. However, they charge a 4% PayPal fee and 2.5% credit card fee, so I just paid with a credit card.

Maybe with so many people buying from secondary sellers, Lego will rethink their system of releasing sets late in the US from now on

Unlikely because;

1) nothing illegal is happening to get those sets early

2) Lego is still getting their money from the sets, even if it is secondary through shops

BUT, as someone from England, who already has the ability to get these sets (still only bought 2 due to money), I think it’s unfair that they aren’t released on the same day worldwide, whilst I understand why they do it for popular themes (like this one), I think it’s unfair on those who have spent hundreds (if not thousands) on Lego over the years, like yourself

Haha, I’m glad I’ve started a domino effect of US buyers purchasing the sets from Europe. I never thought I’d be one to do this, but the one month release difference (July vs August) really does make a difference to me, and at these prices I couldn’t really say no. Getting all the sets from a wave at once is fairly important to me so I’m glad I could still do that! Also, if anyone modifies the Burrow to cover up the left side of the house I’d love to see pictures!

Just finished building all of the sets and I‘m very happy with every single one of them  The Burrow is even better than anticipated and definitely earns a spot among my top 10 favourite sets  Oh, and continuing with my recent streak of weird extra parts, I got two sticker sheets in my copy of the AT

The wierdest extra part I have had is 5 brick separators in one set.

GoldenNinja3000, you definitely did start something! I just ordered the AT and RoR from Zavvi!

Thank you for suggesting Zavvi! It was perfect because the only one I truly want for now is the AT.

Can't wait to build with you all!
