7982Brick2 Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 KNN was wrong about - Advent calendar being based on Ootp - Diagon Alley sets number ( He said it was 71045) - 75978 being a ministry set I’m sorry but deleting your account instead of giving explanations for saying wrong info is proof that he is a fraud. He rather hide like a coward instead of facing his mistakes. We need to understand that his “hints” were nothing more than stuff that we have been speculating long before he even showed up. I mean “Minifigs and buildings from different films” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. “Vanishing Cabinet in DA” last one had it, so it’s possible that the new one will have it as well. Ya’ll need to do yourself a favor and move on from him. We didn’t need him before and we don’t need him now

The Burrow obviously gave us more Weasley's (and DA will hopefully give us Fred and George), it also gave us Bellatrix to go in the Malfoy/Lestrange clan, and Tonks to go with Lupin. Then the student pack gave us Hannah Abbott who marries Neville. ohhh I thought it was something to do with next year. Edited July 22, 2020 by Surge
lego_guyon02 Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 ''Wait a minute, how did this happen? We're smarter than this!'' Seriously though, why are you guys doing this to yourselves again? Most of the info KNN ''gave'' to us was made up of popular and common speculation and some major things have already been confirmed to be wrong (see @7982Brick2's post). The box reveal of the Advent Calendar nuked his reputation and what did he do? He ignored everyone and left! Instead of facing those he fooled for months he just went away like a coward......... and yet people still want to believe him! WHY?! Ofc we want the stuff he told us to be real but how hard is it to accept the fact he's not trustworthy?! Even the mods told us (several times) not to talk about him again. He's a filthy liar and we've got plenty of proof, now can we just move on to another topic and stop giving this clown the attention he so desperately desires?

I shan't give up hope yet. I imagine that there are some interns doing keyword searches to sift through a lot of questions right now. Both to get rid of questions they know they’d never answer (I imagine there are a bunch of key words and phrases that are considered to likely mean a question is spoiler-y and get it automatically rejected - for instance anything that mentions Diagon Alley by name or characters that haven’t been released yet), and to pull up questions they plan on answering no matter what (there are bound to be some common repeat questions that they know they’re going to get several versions of beforehand, I’d be very surprised if they hadn’t developed a quick method of pulling all the repeats up at once, choosing which version they’re goin to use, and then getting rid of the extras). I imagine that a lot of the volume of submissions they have are repeats and unanswerable questions, and as you said, once they find enough questions they do want to answer why bother sifting through the rest.

They don’t do internships, I looked it up and was sad :( But anyway, I’d say that they’re not gonna soft through every question, eliminating them. They’re just gonna Go down a list and pick ones they’d like to answer until they have a full list. So some questions might not even get considered. That’s what I’d expect anyway - they’re not gonna care that much about it being a fair elimination, as nobody’s gonna know Edited July 22, 2020 by sammy_zammy

But I can’t imagine the two designers answering the questions will see anything more than a very pared down shortlist. (And honestly, knowing the Internet, one of those poor low level employees has the job of deleting all the questions about non Harry Potter themes, because you know there were people ignoring the theme listed on the submission page)

BrickBob Studpants Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 You're all right, this shouldn't take all that long to be completed since I imagine a lot of the questions can be sorted out at a quick glance and the amount of VIPs is limited after all. Imagine the ****show the Q&A would have been if it wasn't VIP-exclusive
Modal Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 I expect the questions to be similar to: "What is your favorite thing about Harry Potter?" "Why do you love Legos?" "Who's your favorite character?"

It’s a standard question. But since the submissions were through VIP, which I think you need to be an adult to have an account in, I imagine there’ll be a decent number of more complex questions.

Marcos Bessa says [insert character here] is his favorite character 2. People are spreading the fact [insert character here] is Bessa's favorite character 3. Wannabe leakers are using the fact [insert character here] is Bessa's favorite as a leak 4. People believe said leak and start spreading it 5. Confusion

I think A LOT of people squandered their question by trying to fish for info on future content Some were probably more stealthy about it than others, but Solid Snake, you're not
RogueTwo Posted July 22, 2020 Posted July 22, 2020 So I ordered the Grawp Forbidden Forest set from Zavvi a few days ago. It was expected to ship by now, but it still says processing (which is fine). However, the item listing itself is showing "out of stock." So either I ordered just in time or I ordered too late. I assume I'll be offered a refund if they can't fulfill my order? Or would I simply have to wait until their next shipment?

It never shipped so I cancelled the order
RODDY Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 (edited) Even if Diagon Alley isn’t revealed at SDCC, I think the latest we will see it is the end of July/first week of August which has me incredibly excited. Mos Eisley will probably get revealed Mid August so I think it will be about week or so before it, a week or so after the piano. I wonder if it will be a joint reveal with the CMF unless they got delayed which could very be likely the case, since Sept 1 sets release dates are now in question. Edited July 23, 2020 by RODDY

Except for the fact that Target has The Burrow listed for preorder now for August 15, which could be an indication of when to expect the other sets as well. One Lego store employee isn’t enough to combat that in my opinion. So far I haven’t had any emails saying the preorder is a mistake or anything

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if different parts of the country get the sets in stock at different times at this point.
Bowtruckle44 Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 Has anyone noticed that the Preorder for Hedwig on Barnes and Noble's website is listed as September 1st? That conflicts with the August date for Target.

Possibilities: A) the Target listing could be a mistake B) We know Barnes and Noble is getting Hedwig as an exclusive (Target likely won’t be able to carry it for several months) so they are releasing it, and any other sets they get, half a month later than Target claims they plan to in order to make sure they actually have everything in stock everywhere as opposed to jumping the gun and pissing off a bunch of people. C) the USA is slowly descending into Hell and the employees running both companies websites are punching in random numbers with the grim assurance that none of us will be around to call them out by the time that date arrives. (I’m joking... mostly)

Perhaps just in the US. I haven't seen signs of things being delayed overhere in Europe. All new Star Wars and Marvel summer sets for instance are still listed as coming on 1 August overhere.
