Sometimes it seems like Lego wait for a leak and then reveal it the day after, however that has not happened to the CMF at least

It feels like Lego is determined to do everything topsy turvy with this line at the mo.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: Ahahahah!

To be fair, they're not even faithful to the Portrait of Lily and James included in Privet Drive. They updated the picture ever so slightly, adding James' scarf and sideburns for the CMF photograph, which is so much more detailled. I love it.
I agree though, I'd much rather have good figures than meh designs to ressemble some sort of old drawing. Imagine all figures having to be based on previous designs from those sticker books. That'd be a bummer hahah

So, the NES was teased and revealed around this point of the month back in July. For those hoping for a middle-of-the-month DA reveal, these four upcoming days would be the perfect time for TLG to show us something.

I haven't compared with past D2C reveals to see how many of them were revealed or teased around the 13th-14th-15th of the month, but it feels like the majority of them have been following that schedule, with a couple of exceptions.

Looking at the lovely print for the picture of Harry's parents it's a shame Lily didn't come with a hat-hair combo as that would help make the figure look a lot less plain, even though it would make her a bit less recognisable. As I'm planning to just put all my non-Hogwarts-based Harry Potter civilians in Diagon Alley I reckon I could get away with making James and Lily a part of that display, as long as I don't include any current students which confuse the time frames

I might make a little separate cloud build atop one of the buildings, and have Lily and James watching from the heavens :iamded_lol:, but yeah, they're definitely difficult to place

I don't know of this is important but I have heard the d2cs have left the factory and have been shipped out to some stores. Does that mean official reveal soon?

Once they are shipped out to the stores are they still making more in the factory or have they stopped making them in the factory?

I swear at this point we’re going to see Diagon Alley in Lego stores before the official reveal

We'll all be waiting for you to send us photos as you live so close to a Lego store.

It stays in production for the life of the set.

Looking at the licensed D2C’s that have come out this year, and comparing their reveal and release dates, the Lamborghini seems to be an outlier here, as that was revealed at RLFM Days, so I think as long as nothing goes wrong, we should expect a reveal within the next week

  • 75275 UCS A-wing Starfighter (4/16—5/1, 15 days)
  • 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (5/28—6/1, 4 days)
  • 43179 Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Buildable Characters (6/15—7/1, 16 days)
  • 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System (7/14—8/1, 18 days)

Does anywhere on DA sell Butterbeer?

As long as it counts as still in DA, the Leaky Cauldron does :)

Unfortunately I think they’re doing curbside pick up only right now (Los Angeles is still closed down). Hoping they will open up before September 1st...

I believe they make a big batch before release and then new batches when stock are getting low during the lifetime of the set..
Normally that works fine, but with the current situation a lot of the sets are sold out since the sale is much higher than normal. So I assume they must make several smaller batches of a lot of sets instead of bigger batches of a few sets, in addition to new sets of course :classic:

Lets say nothing ever leaked for Diagon Alley. What would you all want to have be included in Diagon Alley? I would want the leaky cauldron, Grinngotts, WWW, Quality Quidditch, Scribbulus, Ollivanders, Flourish and Blotts, and Florian Fortescue.

Something about the way you phrased this makes me so happy. I’m imagining LEGO elves baking hundreds of the trays of gingerbread bricks and candy colored elements that will make up the first batch of Diagon Alley sets - soon to be packaged up and delivered to our doorsteps!

I am not really a fan of the theme, but ths series has really cool pieces. I´ll get Neville with the monster book, Dumble Dore and the gnome with that great sword. I wonder why there are 5 different medium sized legs and torso-combination for Gryffendor and not a single one for the other houses. Lego could just reuse the Gryffendor print designs and change the colours and symbols.

Oh nice! I’ll have to check it out sometime.

I’m 5 minutes away from the store in Glendale, so as long as they have curbside pickup Ill just grab it there. Think there’s another in Westfield Topanga as well - pretty fortunate to be in LA

Really not happy with LEGO going for the soft material for Kinsleys cloth piece. Usually I prefer the softer material but when a cloth piece only has 1 hole it's nearly impossible to get it to fit right. They really should've went with the stiffer material here, similar to the Graduate.

I also bring positive news for all the Dutch people here; The local Lego store in Gouda is taking pre orders for DA. Expected delivery in the first week of September.

I honestly just want to know the price

Also interesting to note that every one of these sets (except the Lamborghini) were revealed at the end of the week

I thought the price was confirmed to be $400. Has something changed or is it still $400?

The Dutch price for DA could be 400 euro but it could also be 450. It's obviously not something we need to discuss as it only affects a very small amount of members here (the Netherlands is a small country after all) but it's definetely something we would like to know
