Despite the colour used for QQS being the weakest part of the set IMO, the leaning windows & entrance of the lower floor sure make up for it!

Still waiting for an official reveal to see what the Canadian price is. Hoping for 500CAD like Hogwarts and not more...

Maybe Harry's mysterious torso is also included in the set, like how in Ninjago City Lloyd has both his casual outfit and ninja gi.

Lucius reusing the 2012 Bruce Wayne/Loki head is annoying.

If that was the case they would have most definitely used the alternate skin on the back with him getting his wand at Olivander’s

Ok yea now looking at it more I think the pink QQS was a mistake. I don’t care if it’s film accurate, it looks kinda gross compared to the other buildings, which have that more historical feel to them. It’s also way bigger than everything else? Hopefully someone mods it to look a little less, pink.

I'm most certainly going to mod it in a more muted color. Nothing at all against anyone who likes it. I can live with the orange and lilac in WWW because it's iconic and expected to be that way... Personally though I'm a more muted color palette preference type of person. I'm not sure if I'll go for a beige because that may blend too much and not really pop as an unique building or if I'll do one of the other colors I mentioned earlier. I'm thinking I can get it done, and this is a really rough estimate, for $40-50.

Yes I’m really liking how they’ve done the higgledy piggledy Look throughout! Really adds depth. And makes it looks magical like in the movies!

Same, I’m hoping someone here can mess with the colors digitally so we can get a better look?

Batman 89 D2C had a new mold.

Not sure what you're referring to here, none of the Batman '89 figures had a new mold

Does anyone have any more info about the HP-4 coded set that was mentioned? @Guyon2002 said it was quoted at $30. Do we have any other details on it? I’m curious what folks think it could be. I originally thought it would be Borgin and Burke’s, but for only $30 I can’t imagine anything else that would include that Harry torso. Maybe just the moving brick wall at the back of Diagon Alley and a tiny bit of the Leaky Cauldron?

Could be a 2021 set :def_shrug:

Holy Crap, I shaded in the  QQS with a darker red/brown via Procreate and it looks AMAZING. Definitely going to mess with this more

I can’t post it unfortunately but I uploaded to imgur if anyone wants to reach out with a PM

Wow, I didn't even notice this! I have a feeling this set is going to look WAY better in person compared to the box image.

this set looks amazing!!! the minifigs are a bit of a disappointment, but the builds :pir-love:. I really hope if there is a GWP that it starts on September 1st (assuming thats when this set releases)

I'd say the torso is from a GWP. It could come in a Gringotts set, but I think that will come with goblins and the trio in their DH forms. The only thing with that, is that I would have expected Griphook to be included in the Gringotts set and not a CMF. Now I know he could be still considering CMF Dobby turned up in Privet Drive with a different face, but that was a lot later and it wouldn't make sense to include him in Gringotts minus sword.

Also, now we've seen the set, how are people planning on displaying it? To fit in my display cabinet I will need to separate it and it's great that this can be done, but I think it looks best in its straight line form. I could make a shorter alley with two sides of the street, but in reality I'm opposed to displaying it like that and putting the buildings out of place. Hhhm ?

My display for it is as big a mystery as that leaked Harry minifig.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but this set is fantastic! Like others, the minifig lineup is slightly underwhelming, especially when you consider that Great Hall had 10... The selection isn’t bad though. Arthur & Rita should’ve been included. But, this is a building toy, and in that they nailed it. The details, that I can see, are great interiors looks wonderful.

And you guys were all upset at the prospect of getting a black 18+ box....now I bet you’re wishing it was.

Ok so I think it’s unanimous that red looks better than the pink. Sorry I ruined it for everyone :laugh_hard:

I am ok with the pink color but it is just annoying that QQQ takes so much space (both in terms of width and height) but has so plain interior. It could have been much better if they saved the space and bricks to make a small Eeylop Owl Shop.

I am ok with the minifigure selection, too. They don't have LC or Gringotts, so I guess that's pretty much what they can do. Including a few more random wizards will be better but we can always put it by ourselves.

Don't know why this hasn't been mentioned yet but LEGO should've brought back sand red for this set. Sand red would work perfectly for the pink section and it would make the Gilderoy figure more accurate (even if that costume is still inaccurate to the scene).

How about it, would have worked very well.

Do we know which color the QQS shop is on the bottom? Lego website looks like there’s New Dark Red and Reddish Brown.

They’re all on base plates aren’t they?

Edit: oh I’m dumb lol, pretty sure it’s dark red

Definitely not reddish brown (which imo is barely "reddish" at all). It looks like "New Dark Red" to me.

Yea I agree it’s most likely New Dark Red. Luckily, all the pink pieces seem to be simple bricks, so if we really wanted to experiment I bet we could do it for less than $20

It is dark red. Could you send me the colour change pic as well, please? I think medium nougat would also work well. They already use some technic bricks in Medium Nougat and dark orange for the upper floor. Bricks in red are too flashy in my opinion. Sand Red would have worked best
