I think WWW would be a good finale because of how bright and unique it is. I think that’s the order it’s officially in. I forgot where I read this but I believe the order is from left to right: that is, Olivander’s, QQS, F&B, WWW Edit: Got 9/9 on the quiz (guessed on the brick one). I’m surprised they asked some questions about stores that aren’t even in the set. Edited August 31, 2020 by Modal

I’ve got all my LOTR sets displayed right underneath my HP sets and then Orthanc in its own, well deserved, spot. I got all the LOTR sets when they were out, Helms Deep has to be my second favorite, especially with the Uruk-Hai army wall section added on It’s one of my favorites now, too. I was late to the game, but I got lucky last week and found this Orthanc on eBay in a brand new unopened box for only $300. Bag End is the only other LOTR set I have and I absolutely love it. There are so many missing sets I wish they had made... the Balrog is #1 on my wish list. Considering your username, I imagine you agree Maybe now that the LOTR show is coming to Amazon Prime next year there is hope. Anyway, back to Harry Potter! The more I look at the layout of the new Diagon Alley set I can’t help but think that this is the same style they are going to go with for the predicted D2C Hogsmeade Village. Four modular builds - Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes, Madam Puddifoot’s, Dervish & Banges, Hog’s Head - all featuring the iconic angular snow covered rooftops of Hogsmeade. The obvious missing Hogsmeade location would be the Shrieking Shack, which could be released separately (like Gringott’s). What do other folks think? Are there other D2C Harry Potter sets in our future? How likely is a D2C Hogsmeade in the same style as this Diagon Alley set?

I would love for something like that, but the design doesn’t seem as unique nor interesting. Hopefully they disagree and make many many more big sets! Right now, however, all I want is a Leaky Cauldron
Brickity Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 This is very irrelevant to the current hype ?... but I was checking out stills from Fleur’s wedding in DH and wow, I would definitely love to at least get those Bill, Fleur and Ron variants. I really hope we get that tent set next year.

Like Modal said, I doubt they would make hogsmeade the same size as DA. personally, I would guess the set include The three broomsticks, honey dukes, the shrieking shake, and hog's head. The other two personally haven't heard of, however that may just be me. I would also hope for it to include the sled that hagrid broke in POA. I could see something like this selling for 200-300 depending on the size. 6 hours!!!! Edited August 31, 2020 by Surge
Pchan1983 Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 The Auckland certified store confirmed Diagon Alley will be available 1st Sept but they said they don’t have the Harry Potter advent calendar yet ... I wonder when the advent calendar will be available here

Ultron Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Apologies if it’s been asked (if it has I cant find it,) but will the Burrow be going on sale as well alongside Diagon Alley? Im confused as to why it’s the only set still marked as “coming soon” on the Lego Shop. I’ve been waiting to order the sets till they’re all out

I really hope we get that tent set next year. I know, Fleur’s wedding dress is kind of like the Beauxbatons uniform hats for me. That bit of costuming is such a work of art, and I never considered it very likely we’d ever get either in a set. Hopefully, the Lego designers will also defy my expectations for the wedding dress and give it to us in LEGO form as well. And I could definitely see the wedding tent being a nice medium set (although I personally hoped that the Lovegoods take precedent in the minifigure lineup over Ron and Hermione, since it’s unlikely we’ll get the Rookery and it might be our only chance to get Xenophilius).

Does anyone know if the Lego stores in Australia other than dreamworld will have any gift with purchase for the diagon alley release tomorrow?

Speaking of Hogsmeade, I just yesterday joined Martin Ot's (a Lego moccer, does mainly HP&LOTR) patreon. He has a gorgeous model of Hogsmeade which has three separate builds: Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes and a third one, which includes Dominic Maestro's and Ceridwen's Cauldrons. The design captures charmingly the wintery aesthetic of Hogsmeade and his style is similar to Lego's, maximal usage of space and purposeful detailing without using thousands of pieces. After DA's release, I'm planning on bricklinking the parts and building his Hogsmeade, as it looks just like what Lego's D2C Hogsmeade would. On a side note, it's terribly expensive to bricklink all those parts and I'd be really salty if Lego released a Hogsmeade D2C in the years to come :D
Shiene Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 It seems that Lego has done a campaign to announce DA after all. I follow a Spanish youtuber/writer/bookstagrammer (not related to Lego, but she is a huge fan of HP) and yesterday she suddenly posted a picture with a Lego QR code -so same as the Phelps twins. Is Lego targeting a different audience (i.e. fans of HP, but not necessarily AFOL)? It really surprised me to see that, honestly.

chris6507 Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Does anyone have any advice on whether I should claim my VIP discounts now or after the set becomes available?

Depends on how many VIP points you have. I personally only have enough for a 10 euro discount so I'm not going to bother with that knowing it slows me down while ordering
chris6507 Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Think i've got enough for $90 off, but just not sure whether to redeem them in advance or whether I should wait till I know the set is in stock and available to me. Never used it before, so not sure if it takes a long time to process or anything. Lol. Gonna have to get onto my Bricks and Pieces order soon. Should be only 5 hours til release here now.
