For those in the US - you can use this bot I created to text you when DA becomes available: https://brickhound.com. That'll make it so you don't have to keep refreshing every 5 min in hopes of ordering it quickly :).

Haha indeed, but hey, a problem is a problem nontheless.  Living in rural Eastern Canada I can only dream of this mystical thing known as "a Lego Store"....for me 3 business shipping will be a blink of an eye.  May the Lego gods be with you!

Call your local LEGO store and ask how many they have available to purchase for tomorrow. If the amount is too low then it’s best to order online or if they have lots then buy in store.

I did call earlier to ask if they'll have the set but forgot to ask about how many they'll have, lol. Will call again later and ask that.

If this helps anyone, the Lego store at Disneyland only has 4 for tomorrow, so it’ll probably be a pain in the megablocks tomorrow if you’re expecting to just show up and grab one

I’m thinking the same.  The online order probably won’t arrive in a week or so ... should I go to the physical store (certified store so no GWP) and line up in 4 hours time ... hmm

So once DA is available, (whether that be at 9 pm or 12 pm, I don't know) the GWP will be available, right? I just wanna make sure I have everything in check

I called another LEGO store (in Arlington, VA) and the guy said they're getting a decent amount of sets. He said not to worry about lining up two hours early, and that they're getting even more on Thursday.

Yep I'm in The same boat friend, and my anxiety issues aren't really helping me any. I want to do the same but I'm also hesitant because I don't have a spare $400 lying around in my bank account. I'm worried about the online store selling out like the falcon did and if I'm not able to pickup in store, then I'm screwed for a couple months while LEGO restocks.

This is my main issue, I don't want to wait for next day air. Sometimes I wish I had a friend that worked for the Lego store here in Vegas.

So I just got off the phone. Same dude that I spoke with last night and the day before. He told me that the demand is high (I don't know how high because they said the same thing about Hogwarts too), and that he couldn't give me a ballpark figure of how many they would have (which is weird, but I understand...they don't want to get swamped with poed Karen's). So I asked, "well let say I'm 5th or 6th in line, since it's one per person, would I be able to get one", and dude said yes. But he did say to get there early tomorrow, and when I told him I was planning on being at the mall at 8am (which is stupid, I know, but I have issues, and I'll feel better knowing I'm there) since the mall doors open at 10, that that was too early. He did tell me that there is a second floor door that opens earlier than 10am, so I'm thinking about asking a friend to come with me so I can stand by one door, and she can camp the other door, and whomever makes it to the Lego store first will call the other person (yeah I know, this sounds complicated, but on top of my anxiety issues, I also have mild OCD and have been triaging this plan through my head since I discovered this set). To whomever else has a plan like mine, good luck, and don't forget to redeem your VIP points.

I really like how the street looks when the shops are 2 buildings on each side, I do not think that any more cobblestones are needed because it is rather narrow street in the film..

And as already mentioned I hope we get more buildings in the future, when I see the set I want the missing shops to add on

That made the figure go from solid to top tier. One of the best figures across the whole theme reboot IMO.

I’m really hoping that with the instructions for this set that someone better at MOC’ing does some of the other popular stores. I doubt we will get more than Gringotts and B&B officially.

My local Lego store has 14 in stock now and getting 18 more tomorrow, so I should be good! Since it’s curbside pickup I don’t have to wait in line either, it’s just first come first serve on the phone. A little nerve wracking but shouldn’t be a problem with that many sets.

Will the GWP be included with purchases at exactly midnight or will it be included with purchases a few minutes before since the DA may be available a few minutes early?

The GWP would probably only be included with the purchases after midnight.

Thought I'd take a photo of the two sides of the street facing each other from the end of the promo video on the sets page. I do really like how it looks like this, doesn't even seem like the cobblestone needs expanding to be a similar scale to the movie.
