Now that’s interesting news. 3am East Coast mean they wait until the whole US is at 1 September before releasing the sets. Since there is a five hour time difference between Hawaii and New York...

I’ll have to wait until 0000 before it comes available in Southern California then...

I honestly doubt this is true since every recent release has been made available at 12am EST. I'd prepare for that to be the case again.

Then again when does Lego tell random workers about all this? I think it will still be released at 12:00 east coast time.

Don't wait until Midnight west coast time.  Pretty much every one of these has released at midnight east coast time for the entire country, usually goes live a few minutes before.

Now that we know all about Diagon Alley, does anyone have any prediction of what the next D2C in (possibly) 2022 could be? My first thought is a D2C Hogwarts Express or perhaps a Ministry of Magic or Hogsmeade? I can't really think of anything else so prominent in the series.

I think we’re almost guaranteed to get a D2C Hogsmeade set in the same style as the D2C Diagon Alley set. I imagine it will include the Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes, Dervish & Bangs, Madam Puddifoots, the Hog’s Head Inn, and the Shrieking Shack. Although I can easily them saving the Shrieking Shack for a stand-alone release like what we anticipate is happening with Gringott’s. Hogsmeade is arguably even more iconic than Diagon Alley in terms of the profiles of its buildings. Those angular snow covered roofs and crooked chimneys are the the first thing you see in Universal’s Wizarding World. Just look at how amazing this Department 56 Three Broomsticks is and imagine how cool it would be to get this in LEGO form:

I’ve been binge watching all the reviews today, and I’m thinking to myself this probably the greatest set of all time, the only one that comes close is the Ewok Village. I own a lot of sets that others have said were the best like Ninjago City and UCS MF, but this just on another level or awesomeness. Like this set is everything I expect from a lego set, great on display but still a great play set with great minifigs because it’s still a toy at the end of the day. Like wow and to think we’re probably getting Gringott’s next year...it’s amazing. I was going to pick it up tomorrow and save it till Christmas to build it but now I just want to tear into this beast.

You were gonna wait 3 months to build it?! You have the patience or willpower of a saint. How does one learn this skill?

Do we have any more info on the rumored Monster Book of Monsters set or HP-4? The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of a Monster Book build similar to Newt’s Briefcase, but containing a new brick built Basilisk, brick built Fluffy, maybe another brick built spider, a handful of Cornish pixies and a Professor Hagrid minifig in his vest with Fang. They could still give us the Chamber of Secrets next year since it’s featured in the Deathly Hallows, but maybe it just includes the basilisk skeleton.

That's good news for those hoping to buy it in the USA that it doesn't sell out quickly.

I feel like we have the last minute announcement to thank for that. Feels like people who don't follow leaks closely like people on these forums didn't have any warning at all that a huge and expensive set was about to launch.

It broke.  I tried to fix.  Severe limit on upload size.  (any suggestions?)

I think you can use external sites like imgur or imgbb and then embedd them in the post instead to avoid the upload limit.

What??? That’s ridiculous! I’m gonna miss out because I can’t possibly stay up until 3am with work in the morning. They’re really screwing the east coast like this? You’ve gotta be kidding me, that sucks really bad

As I said earlier I don't think that is accurate.

I'll believe it when I see it.  I'm betting on midnight eastern standard time as on sale start for entire US, pretty much just as always.

I think I'm going to YOLO it and just try to grab it in store tomorrow (without ordering online as a safety net). One of the stores near me said they're getting more stock on Thursday, so I'm assuming even waiting for a restock in the worst case will be faster than shipping it.

Oh you bet I’ll be on at 11 just to be sure, launches have started an hour early before. I just really hope that rumor isn’t true about it being 3am EST, that would just be ridiculous. Now that I think about it, it really wouldn’t make sense. Why limit sales so much by releasing a huge set at 3am to a large section of the country?

No worries mate. I remember ordering the Technic Lamborghini around 2200 West Coast time as well; so I think I’ll get to order at 21:00 and it’ll be 00:00 for you.
