I just really hope that rumor isn’t true about it being 3am EST, that would just be ridiculous. Now that I think about it, it really wouldn’t make sense. Why limit sales so much by releasing a huge set at 3am to a large section of the country? If you haven't already (and I feel crazy for constantly plugging it but I honestly really want to help haha), check out my website https://brickhound.com to sign up for a text notification the minute it shows up. It'll save you a lot of trouble of having to refresh haha. Edited September 1, 2020 by YetiZombie

Why limit sales so much by releasing a huge set at 3am to a large section of the country? I wouldn’t worry too much. It was just one LEGO store employee that I spoke to in Manhattan. The LEGO employee I spoke to here in Delaware said 1am East Coast time. Something about the distribution center being in Central Time. No one had a firm answer. I’m not taking any chances. I’ll be checking at 11pm ET too 1 minute ago, Accio Lego said: We don’t even have any reliable information on it actually being a thing. Modal Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Slightly off topic, but which program do people use for their virtual Lego MOC’s? I’m assuming they use Blender for the final rendering. Gonna try to MOC the other stores in my free time.

I doubt we will get more than Gringotts and B&B officially. My local Lego store has 14 in stock now and getting 18 more tomorrow, so I should be good! Since it’s curbside pickup I don’t have to wait in line either, it’s just first come first serve on the phone. A little nerve wracking but shouldn’t be a problem with that many sets. See you're lucky, you get to wait in the parking lot in your nice cool car, while in the meantime, I'll be camped in my malls parking lot tomorrow at 8:00 am (whats hilarious is that my friend is getting one too, and she went to the Lego store and asked how many sets they will have and they told her to be there early, and that the earliest person will be waiting at 8:00...which is me). Then after the mall opens I get to run as fast as I can. To the Lego store to wait another hour. 3 hours ago, Surge said: how long do you guys think the set will take to sell out online. I hope that its still in stock buy 11:30 am tomorrow, just in case I dont end up getting it at the Lego store (fingers crossed I do) Well, like I said before, hopefully, it doesn't sell out and Lego finally made enough extra sets to compensate in case this is a huge release (I think the SW UCS will be bigger honestly). If this is true, than it's great for the people who can't get it in store, meaning they won't have to wait however long to buy it 3 hours ago, YetiZombie said: The Grand Piano sold out in like 30 min but it was on backorder until the next morning. I figured that that set was going to backorder pretty quickly. Lego announced it everywhere I think a month before release with no VIP. The DA set is different, the only ones who were aware of it prior to the announcement we us and the leakers. Thankfully, my local news didnt cover it like they covered Hogwarts. 3 hours ago, chris6507 said: It was $1,299.00. Dude what? 3 hours ago, InkyStar said: It's 8:10am on Sept 1st here in Australia and it's still avaliable on S@H. I am partially regretting letting my Mum know about it cause it's now my Christmas present cause I really want the Brickheadz, but no idea if Mum is planning on buying it direct or not (but also really grateful I've got parents who indulge my Lego love and obession even at 33 years old) My parents are the same way. Even though I no longer live with them, my mother offered the come along to the store with me tomorrow, she said she also would stand in front of one of the mall doors while I stand in front of another. 2 hours ago, kirkwoodproductions said: In the UK, every time I try payment it comes up with an error message "try again or contact customer services" That's really worrying. Almost makes me kind of glad I'm going into the store to buy one tomorrow (even though I'm still worried I won't be able to get one in store or online if they both sell out. 2 hours ago, Balrogofmorgoth said: I’m so nervous Welcome to the club. 2 hours ago, MasterofElements said: Now that we know all about Diagon Alley, does anyone have any prediction of what the next D2C in (possibly) 2022 could be? My first thought is a D2C Hogwarts Express or perhaps a Ministry of Magic or Hogsmeade? I can't really think of anything else so prominent in the series. I honestly hope is the rest of the hogwarts castle set. It's still incomplete. 1 hour ago, Wimmer said: Now that’s interesting news. 3am East Coast mean they wait until the whole US is at 1 September before releasing the sets. Since there is a five hour time difference between Hawaii and New York... I’ll have to wait until 0000 before it comes available in Southern California then... So back when hogwarts released, it didn't come online until 3 am PST for some reason. 34 minutes ago, bluedog1111 said: That's good news for those hoping to buy it in the USA that it doesn't sell out quickly. Very good news. I'm praying that if I not the first handful of people online tomorrow morning, and I cannot get the set (I'm hoping my store has somewhere around 10-12-14 sets), then I can simply go online and get it with next day air.
Modal Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 @Juturna Actually I don’t have to wait at all. I just call at 11am and they give me a pickup time after 3pm. :)

I've got no interest in that personally as I would never pay so much for something Microscale (just not a fan). But in all honesty, I would be very intrigued to see how it was marketed and what it would look like on the box.
bluedog1111 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 What is everybody's experience with express shipping? Does it get there on time or is it delayed as normal orders are normally?

YetiZombie Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 So once you all get your hands on the set, are you going to build it immediately or wait a while? Personally, I have to wait a week and a half because I'm moving back into the apartment that I left at the start of quarantine, but I may be tempted to build at least one of the buildings before then...we'll see lol.

I’ll be waiting a couple of days to a week as well. Too busy breaking down sets that need to make way for this one. That’ll take a while because I put everything back in numbered zip lock bags that match the original bag numbers. 1900 at the US West Coast;... two hours to DA time !!!
chris6507 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 (edited) I'm personally looking forward to the running through the shopping centre stories that are yet to come! :-D Also I've just been thinking i'd replace my batcave with Diagon Alley on my book case. Just actually went measuring around the house and realised I literally only have 8 surfaces in the house that could fit this set and that includes my Son's Thomas table & Drawers, TV stand, kitchen benches and dining table. So basically I have 3 locations remaining. So I either have to convince my wife to get rid of her winter village (Not going to happen), get rid of Hogwarts or get rid of my Blurays.... Guess it's good bye to my movie shelf! :-D Edited September 1, 2020 by chris6507
Juturna Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Even though I'm in the US, I have been checking difference countries S@H stores, and if anyone is currently wondering, Australia has not sold out yet, with a limit of two per. So that's really good news for those of us who are going to the actual store tomorrow.

Oh well, at least it meant I could sleep easy! :-D Thought I was going to knock $90 off my order with my VIP credit, but made the mistake of showing my wife Bricks and Pieces beforehand. So she spent over $70 on cutesy animals from the friends sets! *sigh* There goes my discount. Edited September 1, 2020 by chris6507

From what I've experienced, Lego uses FedEx in the US, and as long as you get your order in by a certain time, the warehouse will process it to scan and send. Usually, for the ones I order next day/express for, they were at the depot at 4-5 AM, and I was able to have the depot hold the set for me so I could get it myself. 58 minutes ago, Modal said: @Juturna Actually I don’t have to wait at all. Micmac Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 Question, Is WWW lavender or medium lavender? And is QQS bright pink or dark pink?
bluedog1111 Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 In the description for WWW it says Quote: Stock up on Dungbombs, Pygmy Puffs and other silly supplies. Could that mean what I think it might? Just 56 more minutes the wait is killing me!
