That was never going to happen as they already established his ''LEGO-height'' with multiple figures

Ah, silly me! The forum police has spoken.

I guess that's why they've re-made Dumbeldore a hundred times, remade Fawkes, and are continually improving on things just over these 2 years.

Not really, since neither’s hair is really depicting the style it’s in in the scene they share. Lupin’s hair is brushed back in the boggart scene, although he usually lets it fall forward over his face, hence lego’s choice to use the spooky boy hairpiece.

The choice to use it for Neville is almost certainly intended to reflect his OotP/HBP appearance despite the cmf fig having the Monster Book. I imagine it’s the same mode of thinking behind Bellatrix having her more iconic partial updo instead of the frizzy mess that would canonically go with her prison robes - that’s the hairstyle Lego will be using for other versions of this character and they want consistency for them. (Keep in mind the only characters to get hairstyle changes to match the movies so far are the trio and Dumbledore, and the latter’s has been to denote the change in actors.)

Ironically, both characters part their hair opposite of the way the Spooky Boy hair does. But despite than that both are recognizable, which is lego’s main concern.

No, Neville is absolutely based on POA from the Boggart/Care of Magical Creatures class scenes. And there is only one Lupin so they absolutely are from the same scene. I'm sure most people are going to put Lupin, Neville and Snape boggart into the classroom together at least once!

Have you even considered how horrible baby sized Dobby would look? LEGO knows what they are doing, if they wanted Dobby that small they wouldn't have made him the way they did in the CMF series

I hope Dumbledore's hair is released in white at some point, either in the Harry Potter line or elsewhere so we can have the Harris Dumbledore without a hat, but with his white beard. I think only he appears like this in the Mirror of Erised scene and the hospital wing at the end of Philosopher's Stone though.

Doesn't BAM have Dumbledore's hair in white? Or was it the regular grey? I honestly don't remember

This seems like an unnecessarily confrontational response to someone pointing out that Lego isn’t going to use the baby body for non-infant characters (Dobby needs to be able to hold regular sized minifigure accessories after all).

If you would actually go and look at the scene in question you’d see what I was talking about. No idea what you mean by ‘only one Lupin’ - he does change his outfit and occasionally bushes his hair back throughout the movies, and the minifigure we have is based off of his appearance on the a Hogwarts Express, not the boggart scene.

Ah gotcha. No they just have the regular light gray

So I misrembered it then. Makes sense, if I saw them in the BAM stations in white I'm sure I would've had a few lying around

So we’re finally getting physical leaks and it’s looking good!

- Centaur legs and torso look amazing! All I ever hoped for from them really (I never really expected moving legs). The proportions all look perfect.

-  The new Harry torso is okay. Very accurate to the movie but not much else to distinguish it - which admittedly will make skipping out on it less of a blow to those who don’t want the buildable Hedwig. (Personally, I’m holding out on making a decision on that until I see the actual set - if it’s buildable Yoda levels of creepy I’m not touching it.)

- Dobby is... nearly identical to the cmf version. I can definitely understand those who think of it as a wasted slot (I really wanted the rumor of the Weasley twins to be right), but at least we got Riddle’s diary with Dobby in the CMF so it wasn’t a total waste? I still would have preferred any repeat of Dobby to be the DH version who at least wears little red shoes.

The torso is distinguishable, albeit minor. The only scarf uniforms are Dean Thomas & Hermione from the Advent Calendar. Both of their scarf ends are on the front. I think it’s great we’re getting a lot of variety in those uniforms, even if it is just for Gryffindor(which makes sense).

I didn’t mean ‘distinguish’ in the sense of how easy it is to tell apart from the other robed torsos. I was using the term in the sense of having some feature that would make it more desirable than its counterparts. The gloves and rear facing scarf make this torso different from previous ones, but we’ve gotten so many gryffindor robes at this point that it’s not garnering as much attention as say, the same thing for a different house.

Got’cha. And very true, it kinda is more of the same. That makes...five? I think, Gryffindor robes now.

6 or 7 actually. We got 4 in cmf series 1, 1 in last year’s advent calendar, this leaked Harry with blue gloves and the leaked Neville from cmf series 2.

Random question... a very odd one. Has anyone ever tried not looking for leaks or updates and instead went directly to the store the day a new wave is released? You know, for the excitement/surprise factor you’d usually get as a kid.

I’m personally trying to do it with this wave, because let’s be honest, whatever the sets end up looking like, I will buy everything :shrug_oh_well:

I tried, but failed... xD. It's too hard not to look them up for me. I however succeeded once with something similar, avoiding all leaks and trailers for the last jedi movie to go in completely blank. Still not sure if it was worth it, kinda missed the hype building up to the release that way, similar thing with Lego sets, I jump to this forum right away to catch everyone hyping like me everytime something leaks. As I think speculation is one of the funnest parts of new sets.

Not sure what your experience was like as a kid but I pretty much always saw the new sets first in a catalog before I ever saw them on shelves. We get few hard copies of the catalog these days but I still know I’m going to see set photos on Lego’s social media pages months before they’re on shelves.

Is it possible to guess some of the last minifigures in the CMF based on the sets for 2020? For example we had Cedric in the First CMF wave which later on fitted perfectly with the graveyard duel.  I think for example one of the Dursley’s is gonna be in the CMF. Because the escape from Privet drive set set is gonna be € 69,95.  Seeing the price I don’t think the set will have al the minifigures from the this movie scene?

Someone has already seen the set at an event and confirmed that all the Dursley’s are included, with six minifigures in total. Lego are very generous with their minifigure counts in this series!

however the CMF could still come with Aunt Marge

I don't think it has been mentioned yet but I really like how the first 9 CMF spots give us at least one figure from each film unlike the ''film distribution'' from series 1.

Going in completely blank is something I've never done before. I have always watched at least the official trailers (not the tv spots though) and seen the LEGO sets. I went to see TFA only having seen the 2/3 trailers and the LEGO sets only for some random guy to scream ''Han Solo dies'' before the movie even started. Some people are the worst...

It's possible but there are way more than 7 possible figures that can complement the upcoming and existing sets so it would still be a guessing game

Are you saying you and Itaria know the remaining 7 characters? *oh2*

No, just that Itaria usually runs the guessing games for the CMFs.
