You know, it’s funny they used Mantis’ head for Bellatrix, considering the other side of the face looks exaactly like Narcissa:def_shrug:

She really needed a skirt print, it’s conflicting how the printing on the torso just ends so abruptly, there’s no continuity.

I really like Fenrir, I used to think that that hairpiece was inaccurate back then, but the truth is the character had very little hair so, there are not many options.

As for Luna, well I don’t love the fact that she’s missing the skirt haha.

Overall, not too excited about these, I certainly expected a lot more for Bellatrix, but I know they’re being way more generous with minifig count and variants, and the sets have topped any previous version.

BTW, I know many of these minifigures could be improved with your own pieces, in the end that’s what LEGO is about... modifying, creating, etc. But my exaggerated “purism” falls into a sort of nonexistent, lazy, “stick to the status quo” creativity, and I hate it! I miss being a child and actually being creative?

If we are getting the burrow, hopefully we are getting Fred and George

I think "if" we get the burrrow there is Arthur and Molly and we see  Fred and George in DA.

I agree with others that this points to a new version of the Burrow. Really looking forward to see what other figs come in that set. I'm guessing it will be along the lines of the previous Burrow, hopefully with a few extra figs as the HP sets so far have been pretty generous with minifigs.

At $100, it’s only fair we get the complete list of characters from the scene, which is just 2 on top of the previous 6 (Lupin and Tonks) It doesn’t seem far-fetched to be honest.

It's a little funny to me that they introduced this new skirt piece and yet barely ever (maybe never come to think of it) print anything on it unless it's CMF. It really looks bad without print most of the time, even if it's MUCH better than the old slope piece.

Luna looks excellent. I love the short sleeve/jumper combination. Hopefully we’ll see more of those torsos for other houses too. The 2010 Fenir and Bellatrix were almost near perfect so they were always going to be hard to top though it is a shame Bellatrix is lacking skirt printing.

Hand't noticed it yet but I really dislike those waistlines on Luna's torso. So far every single Hogwarts student in the HP Reboot, both male and female, have had a non-gender torso that was neither male nor female. The waistlines on Luna look really weird compared to literally all the other students we have.

I expect the RoR Hermione will have female printing too. I figured this would be the year they gave the students long legs and waistlines, seeing as Hermione has them last year

That would make sense. So if this ends up happening we would be getting Bellatrix, Greyback, Harry, Ginny, Arthur, Molly, Lupin and Tonks. Sounds like a perfect lineup of characters to me and would be a great way to get bathrobes Ginny, Lupin in his other suit and a new version of Tonks (if she appears in the CMF as well)

But Hermione's figures last year were normal clothes and a yule ball dress. I would definetely expect those to have waistlines but so far this is the only Hogwarts uniform that breaks the trend of not being gender specific. It's not a big deal but a rather annoying inconsistency just like the wrong legs being used on several figures

Yup! It would be very funny getting our very first Ginny since the reboot in bathroom robes  But in all seriousness, 4 Looney Lovegoods and not even a rumoured Ginny! If the burrow is happening, she is MEANT to be there. Although Ginny also goes to the slug club christmas party... So I hope the lineup for AT isn’t official.

As for the waistline on Luna’s torso, they probably thought the inclusion of the cork necklace was too specific for her anyway, no? The designers love Luna :roflmao: I appreciate the consistency of her accurate facial features in all versions though, I hope she has yet another expression on the back.

Stonewars did say there could be more figures but so far nothing has pointed to more figures being included. But that doesn't confirm it's not happening, we didn't know we were getting Yule Ball Cedric untill we saw the setpictures for the Clocktower

Wow, been gone for a few hours and missed a lot. Not sure what to think of these.

Luna is perfect, although would've preferred mid legs. Still that's an easy fix. Don't mind the slug club one having long legs as she's supposed to be in her 5th year by then.

I think Bellatrix is a downgrade. I like the torso as it looks less tidy than the original one, but that's about were it ends for me. The unprinted dress should definitely be fixed in later sets as it looks terrible, and she deserved a new face print. Gotta somehow get my hands on the original figure, which will be a first for the revival. Although I gotta admit it was hard to top the original one. Although just replacing the dress would've worked.

Fenrir Greyback looks oké, not too different from the last one. I think I preferred the brown hair, but the mold still doesn't work for me, it's too short. The torso looks better in detail, but I always prefer a little bit more colour, although that wouldn't really be accurate. I love the scar on his chest though. The legs are great though, because they finally got rid of that weird coat thingy in the middle.

All with all the figures are fine, but nothing mind blowing, kinda comparable to the horntail set in my opinion. However their reveal hints at something far better, the Burrow hihihi. Only about a month ago we were speculating whether we would get the burrow or privet drive, but we might just get both. This might be the best wave yet.

That’s interesting. I‘m a bit confused that we are getting leaks for a rumored august set before leaks of the first wave. Could it be, that Bellatrix and Fenrir are included in the AT set?

I must admit that I‘m a bit disappointed with the figures. I think Fenrir is okay. I like that he has printed legs, but I like the torso print of the old version more. It’s just a more detailled and „stronger“ print. The face print is good, but I liked the lighter facial hair more.

The Luna Figure is good. I like that they included her chain and the only thing I would change from the torso print is that I would have loved it if they would have done a better transition from the jumper to the arms with a print. (I hope you understand what I mean.) And the leg size thing is really annoying.

the Bellatrix figure is a huge disappointment for me - the reused faceprint and the Not printed skirt piece are really lazy and I don’t really like it. But that’s probably because the old figure was just so good.

All in all I think the Minifigures from 2010/2011 were pretty perfect, so it’s hard to do them any better (I just brought Arthur and Molly for a really good price). What I really like about the reboot is the accuracy of the Minifigures. The only figure I didn’t like was the new viktor Krum ... and now Bellatrix.

We're not entirely sure it's an august set. Dutch LEGO shop Brickshop.nl has it listed as a june release

I hadn't even considered the possibility of Lupin and Tonks being included in the Burrow, I forgot they were in that scene :oh:. If they are I similarly hope Tonks is somewhere else, either in the CMF series or the Advent Calendar (if it's based off Grimmauld Place). Tonks looks completely different in Half Blood Prince because of her hair so hopefully this will be the case. Imagine getting two different Tonks minifigures after waiting all this time!

If the potential Burrow set is based on HBP, as well as the line up from the 2010 set, Tonks and Lupin have a major role at the Burrow in that film. Ron has a nice moment sitting between Ginny and Harry with a big plate of mince pies, Fred and George also appear in a minor way watching the house burn. Hermione is there at the beginning of the film when Harry arrives, but is not at the actual skirmish. I'd be delighted with Tonks, Lupin and the 2010 line up, the others would just be interesting varients but not essential.

A DH wedding set could easily be just a tent, the only thing we'd miss from the CoS set, apart from a few variants, is a Percy figure.

Definetely a new variant, his clothes are almost completely different

If Tonks end up being in the Burrow, what do you think her hair will be like? Is there an existing piece that would match with her hair in that scene/film because it's quite unique. There could be a new mould introduced in the CMF but I think her potential CMF variant would then have to be from OotP, in which she has longer hair without bangs. I really hope that Tonks and Lupin end up being in the likely Burrow set. And hopefully, they'll be better than the Bellatrix figure we are getting.

I honestly don't know, she really needs a new hairpiece for that appearance imo

The best matches I can think of are the Rebels Sabine hair and the Solo Qira hair, both of which are far from perfect. They very well might have no choice but to make a new piece, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Those 2 would actually work quite well, though I'd still prefer a new mold

I think the hair piece ashnflash and just2good used for Tonks is probably the piece they'll most likely use. Even if it's not completely accurate for all of her appearances. But I mean look at Bellatrix. I think for all non main characters they just want 1 recognisable piece that could be used for all variations.

I think the advent calendar or a polybag is really the best place for a Dumbledore’s lectern build. After all, Great Hall sets usually have enough trouble managing to fit in the required tables without having to worry about leaving room for a podium that would just get in the way of kids trying to play.

And the new Hedwig just looks stunning! (The image has officially crossed into the #legoleaks posts by the way, you no longer have to search for it in stories.) I’ll admit there’s better things I want out of the CMF than another minor character with owl like Cho from series one, but I really just want this new mold in all the colors. (I also want the regular owl mold in more colors, but that’s old news). Fingers crossed that either Privet Drive or Diagon Alley will give us a bunch of owls in different colors (and if we get the Burrow that means we get Errol again right?).

I used the Lego Dimension's Fantastic Beasts set to create a custom lectern for Dumbledore. It came with golden wings which I placed either side of a golden 1 stud circle which I used as the birds head. I'm quite pleased with it. The main portion was built using the brown bricks with some gold embellishments.
