Is it too late for LEGO to change the release date of the Eternal sets? I can’t imagine they would have other sets to fast track and replace the eternals sets release early next year. It’s not too late for them to move it. They will most likely be moved till august or October of next year. Best lego can probably do is move the iron man vs Thanos and Spider-Man hideout to January
lego_guyon02 Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Well this just ruined my day, I can deal with the delays for Black Widow and Shang Chi but Eternals? Man I was so excited to see that film and the accompanying LEGO sets
BrickBob Studpants Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Yeah, this sucks. I wonder why Shang-Chi and Eternals switched positions

hvader Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 (edited) Black Widow set must stay on shelves for more than a year now... Let's hope it doesn't retire before May 2021 Edited September 23, 2020 by HarryVader
BrickBob Studpants Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 I’m sort of glad nothing from the Eternals sets has leaked. Imagine seeing leaks of cool sets and/or minifigs, only for them to get pushed back an entire year It’s frustrating either way, but at least this is the less annoying option IMO

Having to wait even longer than we already had to is gonna kill me

Harry Potter's january wave is just a big meh and for Marvel the Ghost Rider set is the only set I might consider buying But then again this does leave some room in my budget for the first half of the year and I've seen some interesting offers for the Ultimate Battle for Asgard and Royal Talon Fighter, both of which I haven't come around to buying yet.

hvader Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I still have yet to get the Black Widow set because I was waiting to buy it after the movie comes out, I guess I better get the set ASAP. Will we still see leaks for Eternals minifigs even if the sets are delayed? They must have some prototypes somewhere that someone can show us, especially if some people already know what some sets will look like.
Marvelous Spidey Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I wonder if they've already started making Eternals sets? I imagine it would be costly for them to store them for over a year before being able to sell them! What are the chances we get a new Black Widow set now that we have another 9 months until the movie? That's the usual production timeline so I'd say it's highly unlikely, but they could decide to make a spoiler set to capitalize on the hype for this movie. I bet people will be VERY excited once it's finally released
JediJosh Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) I know this is a long shot theory but hear me out. I firmly believe that the only reason Deadpool was added to fortnite was so that Disney and Marvel could start preparing kids (lets be honest I know fortnite is rated teen but we all know lots of kids play the game) and introducing kids to Deadpool before his reboot into the MCU. Blade is also now coming to Fortnite. Now Blade is a character i'm guessing most kids wouldn't be too familiar with. I again think this is Disney and Marvel's way of introducing him to kids before his MCU movie comes out. If this is true could we potentially see a Lego Blade mini-figure in the upcoming wave- maybe in the ghost rider car set. I know this is a long shot theory but just a thought I had. If they enter production alongside the other 1HY Marvel sets, they will have to store them until next fall like the missing Minions sets, which won't be cheap, as you say. Plus there's the VERY high risk of sets or parts leaking, which Marvel wouldn't be happy about, considering we don't even have a trailer and barely any promotional material. LEGO has been known as a good source for movie spoilers (not necessarily plot-wise, but design-wise) in many fandoms for a long time, but this would be on an entirely new level Postponing the production might be costly too though, depending on the state of pre-production. I'm no expert, but I imagine they can't just reschedule the machines at the factories to produce other parts that quickly (or maybe I'm wrong and they are this flexible).

Throw in the Square Enix Iron Man, last year's Spider-Man (no dual molded legs of course), and then Venomize something and you've got Lego's best-selling set of all time!
Noobmaster69 Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I just got the Stark jet and iron mans hall of armor sets but I realized one thing and that is we need a striker armor they put a thing for it in the set but we still haven’t got it
