Spider-Man 3 sets are about to become my most anticipated Lego wave after The Batman. If they actually do a Spider-Verse movie (which is actually possible now with this news), it could give us so many amazing minifigures.

I totally agree with this. Lego better not mess these sets up like they did with Endgame

This does sound interesting, weird.... but interesting.

On another note, I've been wanting to get the Ultimate Battle of Asgard and Royal Talon Fighters sets for a while now and finally got them today. When they were released I couldn't get them due to budgetary reasons but I found a guy on Marktplaats (Dutch site, similar to Ebay) who was selling both of them for a little less than the original retail price. Went back and forward with the postal service a lot (they lost my package for a good 4 days :ugh: ) but it finally arrived today. Both sets are just fantastic and Hela is definetely on my list of favorite minifigures ever released! :excited:

Here’s the pictures for anyone who hasn't seen them. Please tell me if I need to delete them.

They . . um . . they . .  um . . seriously LEGO? Awesome white suit Widow, Red Guardian, and exclusive shields for Guardian and Taskmaster both? Damnit I almost want this more than the Silver Centurion polybag! And I’ll never get it . .
Okay, there’s a slim chance of a polybag being released that contains both these figures and, if the shield piece is a print maybe that too, so I’m gonna try not to give up hope yet. But just . . why, LEGO, why?
. . With all the BE delays there’s no way they’re actually making a new BW retail set right?

The only potential set I thought they'd be able to release was Taskmasters tank with a reuse of Taskmaster, white-suit Widow and Red Guardian. But we all know how that turned out :hmpf:

Hela is definitely one of the coolest Marvel figures out there, if only they did as much justice to Thanos as Hela...

The listing of parts for #77905 on the Lego B&P site suggests that Taskmaster and Red Guardian's shields are not printed - rather they are stickers.

Well, shot.

Is it weird if I would prefer this so I could stick it on an actual shield piece?

Not at all

Interesting, so its the same as the Captain Marvel set, only 2 exclusive prints at the time it came out.

Four, plus stickers. (Three if Red Guardian has unprinted legs.)

Also, Monica Rambeau’s head from that set is still exclusive and has not yet been reused.

Red Guardian has normal dark red legs. Black Widow's legs are Yelena's (sh630). The two torsos for Black Widow and Red Guardian are the exclusive parts :damn:

Ah. I see. That makes me feel a little bit better about this, then.
Hoping for a Red Guardian polybag then. It’s one thing to have exclusive legs in a $30 set, quite another to have a head that’s otherwise only in a $250 D2C. (I know, B&P, but for those of us in Australia it’s just not practical unless you’re making a huuuuuuge order.)

Not that you can buy licensed heads on B&P most of the time anyway :)

Do we have any indication yet when 77905 will become available? Spent a bit of time today trying to find more info, but at this stage info is sparse

Wow, this Black Widow set is just amazing! Red Guardian and White suit widow are just perfect. And again Lego screws everyone who doesn't live in USA , even after they promised no more regional exclusives! Can we just stop trusting everything Lego says? Why can't they just repacage this set and mass produce it as a regular set? I mean it's just easy money for them and they are refusing this opportunity? I seriously don't get this logic...

Convention exclusives are explicitly exempt from the „regional exclusivity“ rule  And they can‘t just mass-produce a set that was intended as a limited edition promo, at least not that quickly. There might also be a contractual obligations at play here, even though SDCC was cancelled early-on

That's just another way of screwing fans from other parts of the world. I mean nobody is forcing them, to release this set now, especially considering movie is now delayed untill may 2021. They could easily repackage and mass produce this set for all the world by next May.

I 100% agree. A certain set with exclusive figures/prints/whatever will obviously make a lot of people angry if it's exclusive to a specific region, why not make it a timed exclusive? Exclusive to the US (or whatever country applies) for a couple of months and then available for the rest of the world, similar to the Chinese New Years sets.

Promobricks has some updates regarding the minifigs in the upcoming Spidey sets, but nothing new under the sun. Venom, Mysterio, Spider-Gwen, Doc Ock (with a different hairpiece, oooohhhh :sarcasm:), Carnage, Green Goblin. YAWN

Posted

If anyone hasn’t seen it, I fed the new details into a translator.

After the first set with the anti-hero Ghost Rider was released in 2016, LEGO has now brought us the second model around the hell biker. Instead of the motorcycle the Ghost Rider usually rides on, this set will apparently contain his black Dodge Charger.

(Update from September 30th) It is now clear which minifigures are included in the set: In addition to the Ghost Rider, you get Spider-Man and his rival Carnage.

76174 Spider-Man Monster Truck

With this title, you actually know exactly what to expect: Spider-Man with a monster truck.

(Update from September 30th) And so it happens. Spider-Man sits behind the wheel of a heavy, covered vehicle complete with a projectile for a net, which is a brand new item. His opponents are Mysterio, a few drones and Doc Ock, who LEGO has given a different hairpiece for the first time and whose gripping arms are more complex than ever. Spider-Man is supported by Spider-Gwen on a purple skateboard.

76175 Spider-Man Hideout

Here, however, one can speculate a little more. Because Spider-Man, unlike Batman or the Avengers, has no real base, it will be interesting to see what LEGO thinks up with such a set. In 2015, the Danes released a 4+ set with the same name, but it really took a child's imagination to realize that this was supposed to be a secret hiding place. Now things could turn out differently: With a price of € 69.99, it is the most expensive set among the new releases and should therefore be a bit more detailed.

(Update from September 30th) The hero in red never had a Spider's cave, but that's exactly what LEGO has developed here as a set: remembered with three costumes stored behind glass, a repair station for a motorcycle and a prison cell the base is very reminiscent of Batman's famous secret hiding place.

However, the set also comes with a range of funny, playful details: In addition to a skateboard, we also find a video game controller, a dumbbell and a basketball hoop with a catapult in Spider-Man's lair. Whether the friendly spider from the neighborhood has time to have fun with it remains uncertain: Green Goblin on a glider and Venom attack in the set. The three costumes mentioned above are included as additional minifigures: denim jacket Spiderman with a hat, a black outfit and one with a gold spider logo.

Okay, I’m excited for the Spidey-Hideyhole now. Three new suits? Epic! I’m gonna be able to build a really great suit display now! Even if I did miss my earlier guess about them reusing Iron Spider.
Shame about the villains, though. That said, it would be nice if this was a reissue of the 2018 Green Goblin, I didn’t get that but I have to admit that was a pretty nice figure with the dual moulding. The other two are probably passes, since I still have the 2016 Ghost Rider and aren’t very attached to him as a character - unless the Dodge Charger is a really cool build, at any rate, but I doubt it.

Yeah! Doc Ock, Venom, Carnage and Sandman! We didn’t have them yet! Maybe we need to throw all those rehashed minifigs just in the streets, the forest or the sea, to show lego that they are wasting precious raw materials and turning them into stuff no one wants.
Or use them to throw at lego executives.
