I don't think it's a bad idea to communicate with designers about our opinions on the products in a polite and constructive way. That's what customer surveys are for, and I believe the designers would appreciate us giving them valuable feedback.

You never said you were being sarcastic though, nor was that clear from the initial comment. You keep saying you're frustrated about your opinion being attacked but those attacks you keep mentioning are nowhere to be seen. This is a discussion forum so a reply should always be expected, regardless of the tone or content of your post. As a designer myself I can say that feedback is always appreciated and, to be completely fair, necessary. It's nearly impossible to create a good product without feedback. But the way you said you wanted to give that feedback (as explicitely stated in your comment from a couple of days ago) wasn't exactly the best way to do so, which is why people felt the need to reply.

hvader Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 (edited) Rumor has it that Willem Dafoe and Thomas Haden Church are returning for Spider-Man 3. Dafoe’s Green Goblin is one of my favorite villains growing up and the possibility of getting him again as a LEGO minifig excites me so much. Now all I need are accurate remakes of Vulture and Mysterio (if they appear in the movie) and we’d have a perfect Spider-Man wave Edited December 15, 2020 by HarryVader

I guess Sony heard that people thought they had too many villains in their Spider Man films and said "we hear your blasphemy, and raise you EVERY villain!"

On the slightest chance you mean Lego designer when you say you’re a designer, can you leave a sticky note on someones desk asking for more X-Men sets, and some comic Guardians sets? (Unless...) As long as the criticism being directed is constructive or simply a request to see something you’d like as opposed to even mentioning any product you dislike, I think communication can be done effectively. I will say communicating with Lego was an actual goal of mine in expressing disdain for their superhero stuff. I felt compelled because I really really did not enjoy the venom crawler and spider jets we’ve gotten lately, I felt like someone had to break the memo that these sets weren’t doing it. I’m still thinking of how to do it because a part of me can see how someone in their right mind would feel comfortable expressing disgust for some sets given how crappy they can be, but also understand how thats rude and counterproductive. But I would like to at least critique the current direction the theme has but I’m beginning to question if there’s any respectable way to do it.
ToaDraco Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 So the 2021 sets are starting to show up at Kohl's. Has anyone been lucky enough to find any?
lego_guyon02 Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 They're realling doing Goblin and Sandman as well now? This is exciting for LEGO but movie-wise I'm rapidly losing faith in SM3. I really don't like bringing back dead characters and so far Sandman is the only villain they brought back who isn't dead And please don't bring back TASM's Goblin, that was next-level awfull

I think it's too soon to make a Spider-Verse movie. I hope that Spider-Man 3 will introduce us to that concept with a lot of cameos, and then Sony makes a full Spider-Verse movie. 8 hours ago, TOTDForever said: assuming they are not just cameos and Lego actually does make more than 1 set of this movie They made 3 sets for a regular Spider-Man movie (FFH) - it's pretty safe to assume that Spider-Man 3 will have AT LEAST 3 sets.
hvader Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 It’s funny that the font of this title is identical to the Hasbro Marvel Legends series. I wonder if this is just a coincidence. Imagine a Lego Marvel Legends line haha.
hvader Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 I have a feeling that they’ll reuse the Doc Ock head for the Spider-Man 3 version, which I won’t complain about because it does look cool. The blue fishbowl for Mysterio is also perfect for a potential Spider-Man 3 version with hopefully more gold this time around
cosmic Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Minor complaint but it’d have been nice if Mysterio had gold boots printed on the lower half of his legs as well as the squared textured printing that covers his suit on his legs as well. I may have picked up that set if Spider Gwen was replaced with say Black Cat or Spiderwoman. With Mysterio being the only figure I don’t own, another new fig may have drawn me in. Overall the wave has the effect of looking better than I initially thought while still not exciting me.
Gorilla94 Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 The new Mysterio Energy effect piece is cool. The arm printing design on Spiderman is gorgeous... it is a shake that the blue seines trough the print that much :/
TOTDForever Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 falconfan YET AGAIN is playing with our emotions lol "Yall not ready for what's coming" and under that quote was a pic of the 3 Spider-Men.

I think people misunderstand what a multiverse means for the story. The villains might be from different multiverse, not necessarily from the Raimi or Webb verse - I also expect that some might be from the Watts verse. The actor potentially being cast does not necessarily mean that the character is the same one. The costume and design, thus the figure, might alter wildly. I think most likely the MCU will be going for the original Sinister Six comprised of; Doctor Octopus (Possibly the Raimi version) Electro (Not the Webb verse) Mysterio (Set-up in Far From Home) Vulture (Set-up in Homecoming) Sandman (Possibly the Raimi version) Kraven (Sony intend to do a Spin-off focused around the character, but he could be introduced here first) Morbius or Scorpion could be swapped to replace Kraven if they want to stick to the team as much as possible. Alternatively we are getting the villains of the MCU Sinister Six comprised of; Doctor Octopus (Possibly the Raimi version) Electro (Not the Webb verse) Scorpion (Set-up in Homecoming) Vulture (Set-up in Homecoming) Mysterio (Set-up in Far From Home) Shocker (Set-up in Homecoming)
