Huh, all four sets are out and they look great! The smallest two are both two or three Eternals fighting monsters called ‘Deviants’, the second-largest is some kind of big red mech, and the largest has a freaky triangular spaceship, another Deviant and a humanoid Deviant who seems to be the leader. Also wow that is a lot of minifigures and it looks like there’s at least one exclusive in every set, as well as a few duplicates. 

I know nothing about the lore for this, does anyone have an idea and can enlighten me?

These look impressive! :wub: I wonder how those pictures got out though, shouldn‘t the sets have been postponed to next October a couple of months ago? *huh* These catalogues don‘t get printed that early, or do they?

And looks like the mystery of the new Venom „tentacle“ mould has been solved, I knew they were designed for something else!

Okay, here’s the minifigure breakdown as far as I can see. Keep in mind I have no idea who any of these people are.

Rise of the Domo (big spaceship): Ikaris, Makkari, Sersi, Druig, Thena and Phastos

In Arishem’s Shadow (Celestial Mech thing): Ikaris, Sersi, Ajak and Kingo

Deviant Ambush: Gilgamesh, Thena and a name I can’t make out but given it’s written as non-exclusive I think it’s Makkari. 

Eternals’ Aerial Assault (smallest, with the bird thing): Ikaris and Sprite

 

 

I’m assuming based on his prominence that Ikaris is the main character. Definitely interested in Gilgamesh though. I love Sumerian history.

Loving the look of these sets - the triangular spaceship is a little blocky, but I'd have to wait and see the source material before judging it too much on that.

She does but I'm not sure if it's a recolor

I doubt that, Shang Chi is far more likely.

They took a considerable risk doing 4 sets out of a relatively obscure marvel property but IMO it paid off - they look amazing! Now to see if they do sell well...

I can't be the only one who immediately thought of a pizza slice for the spaceship set, right? :laugh:

That humanoid Deviant in the Dorito ship is definitely Kro, I checked those leaked images of his figure and he has 4 eyes and a red marking on his head, plus tendril like hands

These sets would've been released already though, but the film got pushed back. Spidey was supposed to release after Shang Chi anyway, so he'll be next

Wow these look pretty cool! My favorite is definitely In Arishem's Shadow. I really like that massive Celestial build and it has a decent minifig selection. I also really like the Deviant Ambush, really digging the Deviant build and Gilgamesh looks excellent, loving the new fist pieces he might be my favorite figure of the wave. I'm really disappointed by the lack of a Black Knight figure but maybe it'll be in a set we haven't seen yet. The Domo set looks neat but there's no way I'm paying that much for it. I gotta say the Deviants are way more colorful and monstrous than I expected. It's crazy to me that freakin' Externals is getting so many sets but at least they look good.

I don't think it'll be that soon but I do think they'll be released sooner than what's considered to be normal for MCU sets

I kinda like how we have only 4 sets, as it makes collecting all of them easier/cheaper. Plus it looks like the builds to each set are very diverse

nothing is out of the question, covid has shaken the foundation to everything and I'm just being hopeful

In Arishems Shadow is probably the most badass set name ever! I too am disappointed for lack of Black Knight, not even a Dane Whitman, but maybe they don't want to advertise him too much. At least not in suit

Well this just ruined my day, I was so excited for these sets that I completely forgot to check if the figure I wanted most was included :wall: :laugh_hard:

Maybe they consider it a spoiler for the movie so might be released in a spoiler set later? Or heck, maybe he doesn't even suit up as Black Knight in the movie and they just set it up for his next appearance. Regardless I have no doubt we'll eventually get a figure of him because he has to join the Avengers in phase 4.
