Apparently some want to play with their Lego, not display them. Not going to please everyone, though I’m not sure a mosaic is going to satisfy anyone.

I apologise if this is a point that has already been made, but I would argue these busts and mosaics are for adult fans of Marvel, not just AFOLs. I can imagine fans that just want an Iron Man themed thing to put by their desks or in their bedrooms would lap these things up. Be they made of LEGO or metal or what ever, these things are incredibly popular. LEGO offering these things as part of their catalogue seems like a great decision. A giant play set would be harder to sell to adults that don’t collect LEGO often.

I never thought there was dark ages to begin with for marvel but yes, this summer wave will be full of great sets and great surprises

This January wave is the worst one we've ever gotten. I can't forget those builds

New War Machine picture is up on Instagram. I must say damn that's impressive! Not to mention the new shoulder cannon/gun mold is not shown.

Who posted them?

I like the torso and leg prints but I'm not sold on the helmet. But at least it looks better here than it did on the QR figure

Nvm found it. I really enjoy the printing, but I wish they made new helmet, like they on they used in the Iron Man Mech from earlier this year.

I would go as far as to say this has potential to be the best marvel wave of all time

That’s a pretty big statement. I believe you, nevertheless.

That looks pretty amazing, I think that Lego Marvel si about to become one of the best Lego themes. I might be wrong tho, but it looks that after those 2019 sales it's gonna get a big quality upgrade.

Purely speculating from your story, but does he use the newer Iron Man helmet? Even if he doesn't, I'd love to see what he'd look like with it

And does the Hulkbuster look like the big Ronin Mech from Ninjago?

War Machine printing looks good, similar to Iron Man’s

I’m so excited about this wave. So far the builds all sound promising (heck, I’m even pumped for hulkbuster). I hope we get some truly awesome variants of characters. So far, that War Machine looks phenomenal

Gotta love the new War Machine fig. I'm especially fond of the fact that the accents on the armor are dark (metallic) grey, as opposed to silver-grey, which I always thought stood out too much.
Also, there's fewer of those accents as well, so.
I'm hoping the actual helmet that will come with this minifigure also has dark grey with it :sweet:

Good news, helmet's wrong. Shoulder cannon's missing, too.

I love the torso and leg prints, they look great.

If it tops infinity war's wave, my wallet will be the only thing upset here.

My wallet will be upset either way. Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Star Wars (somewhat) and now Marvel..... I must admit I wasn't hyped for this non-movie wave but the sets keep sounding better and better

I only buy star wars and marvel, and only some sets at that, but between the helicarrier, hulkbuster,  and avengers tower I'm gonna end up spending alot more than I wanted to on this wave. I think lego marvel works better when it has actual vehicles and locations to work with, which is why the comic wave is shaping up to be so much better than, say, endgame.

I agree, these sets are going to be a lot better than the garbage SM sets we got in january. So far I'm considering buying the Helicarrier and maybe (big maybe) the Avengers Tower, but both of them will most likely end up on the list of sets I want but will buy with a good discount.

Build the Molten Man battle today btw and I must say I'm impressed. It didn't really catch my interest from the pictures I've seen but I really wanted the Stealth / Night Monkey figure and found the set on discount so I bought it anyways. Figures are good and besides the neck/head Molten Man is a pretty solid looking build. Definetely recommend it!

I love the night monkey figure, and totally agree about molten man being mostly ok. However, I couldn't wait for that stealth suit and bought it full price, which was a mistake. At least I have the firefighter.

Same here. They'll reveal these sets and I'll "decide" to buy them, and then they'll reveal the AT-AT and I'll end up bricklinking war machine and buying the hulkbuster and that's it.

Is this a comic wave or is it just new designs entirely?

It's partially (or not, maybe directly) based on Marvel's Avengers Video Game.
