Fenghuang0296 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 I saw the 4+ Tower. (Even though it’s really sorta not a tower.) I like it! Good figure selection, useful parts, and the recoloured and reprinted that 6x8 rounded tile from the Disney storybooks with an Avengers logo. Definitely gonna pick that one up for the new Captain Marvel, Loki and Hulk. (Also I called it they’re reusing the Iron Man figure from the mech set. Makes me happy I didn’t bother buying that mech.)

I definitely feel you I wouldn't be disappointed if the sets got revealed without any hype around them, that's the exact quality I expect from Marvel sets - cool minifigs (with half of them being repeats) and awful builds. The thing is people like Falcon Fan got me so hyped for this wave saying those will be "the best Marvel sets ever". And they turned out to be garbage. Eh, I guess I'll just stick to MCU sets forever.

Most disappointing Marvel wave for sure I'd say January sets were more disappointing with only like 7 new minifigs (counting Spider-Man sets), but this is for sure in top 3 most disappointing Marvel waves.

GoldenNinja3000 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Ugh...I definitely feel like our hopes were too high. Minifigures in both sets are amazing, I can’t believe they gave Black Widow arm printing, that’s incredible! Captain Marvel looks so much better with the Mohawk and it’s not too big like I was afraid of. No new Iron Man is kind of disappointing but that is an awesome figure so I don’t care too much, and MODOK looks fine to me. The builds are another story. The Helicarrier looks like it has a great core, but they dropped the ball so hard on the rotors! Why are they sticking up so much??? And why the open back? With those issues fixed the set would’ve been perfect, the rotors are just an eyesore right now. I don’t hold 4+ sets to a very high standard but that “tower” looks real bad and definitely not worth the $60. The Avengers plane looks cool but I don’t even know what Loki’s vehicle is supposed to be. Hopefully the regular Avengers Tower set is a good build.
