Right now, I'm giving the tower the benefit of the doubt. Hahahahahahaha. We'll see. I'm not to keen about new Red Skull, for all we know those 2 agents gonna be AIM. I wonder who the 2 minifigures are.

In my world of fantasy, the two minifigs are Taskmaster and Zemo, or even a new big fig Thanos, but in reality, prob just AIM/SHIELD agents or Thanos mech Thanos...

I can see TaskMaster happening, then again 2 of Ironman is repeat even tho there's plenty of armors in the game. Oh gawd. This is awful. Atleast give us variants for the minifigure if they can give us good builds. What is happening is, they're giving us 1-2 good figures then that's it.

Is the tower more expensive than hellicarrier?

I think tower is $90, so it's cheaper

For all we know the tips are we getting new Nick Fury, but this is FFH. It's really hard if you let your emotions invest with the possibility, it should be the lowest possibility you can think of. LOL.

Okay I love these 2 sets that have been revealed. The minifigure selection for the Helicarrier is great, I didn't buy the sets from earlier this year because I absolutely hated the builds, so I'm happy I get another chance to get them.

MODOK looks great, although I can't see the hands, either way he's exactly what I hoped for, way more my style than the original figure. And both War Machine and Captain Marvel look awesome. So does Black Widow, probably the best one yet.

The helicarier itself looks fine, kinda chunky or blocky though, but I think it's pretty close to what we see in the game. Best part for me is that there's an interior, finally some place to put my shield agents. Only thing I might change is the huge turret on top of it. The tiny quinjet is also a fresh breath of air after all those gigantic ones in every single marvel wave.

For the 4+ avengers tower I must say it's nothing too special but I still love it. The avengers logo is gonna be very usefull for a custom avengers tower, I just hope it comes at 2 sides. The loki is fine, the Hulk is very nice. Although I wished they either included a few different figures or just remove 2 of the repeats and the plane build + loki's vehicle as it mostly just adds to the price. I wonder what the normal tower will look like, I might just use some elements from the 4+ one if it's not entirely up to my wishes.

Either way great sets.

The new MODOK is surprisingly well done. Can't decide whether I like the brick built or minifigure version more. Not too keen on the new Helicarrier but that's more to do with me preferring the MCU design over the video game's rather than the quality of the set itself.

Some of the helix series shaping, especially in the midsection and the front looks alright, but it’s weighed down by some really odd design choices - why are the rotors elevated by a brick thick cylinder? Why are the wings on the side so thin with no effort made to slope them? Why is the back exposed, and if it’s to reveal a big gun or something, why not cover it up better?

For $130 this really isn’t doing it for me, sadly. Monkie Kid has so much better, consistent builds with really unique and interesting shaping for a similar age range; I don’t get why these just aren’t good.

Honestly, one has to wonder why Lego decided not to make more Endgame sets. We got 3 minifigs of an UGLY video game Iron Man design (cool minifig, but terrible original design) but only 1 minifig of Mark 85 in an overpriced compound set... The game's designs are terrible but it's getting more sets than Endgame itself... why not spend this effort elsewhere and give us Bro Thor and Mjonir Cap??? Is the MCU license somehow more expensive? Does Lego just hate Endgame? Why is it that all the other toy companies are making new waves of movie-accurate Endgame merchandise but Lego is pushing out waves and waves of SquareEnix Avengers toys???? Sorry for the rant but I'm so confused and frustrated.

I’m willing to bet this is because first and foremost, LEGO wants to make toys that kids want to play with, and frankly Endgame wasn’t very Avengers/vehicle heavy. As much as I want to get updated, MCU accurate figures, it’s hard to think of builds that kids would like to play with that they could sell. As much as I personally want a large Chitauri flying creature, kids would probably much rather have a similarly sized “hero” vehicle with Avengers branding than a villain creature. And while there are a few hero sets that could be made into builds, like Valkyrie’s horse and Giant Man, they’re not as marketable builds or characters as an Avengers branded truck, motorcycle, Jeep, etc (or at least that’s what LEGO seems to believe).

Honestly, our best bet at getting retroactive MCU stuff is with a CMF, which is now possible due to licensing agreement changes. It’s the most logical place to put updates of MCU characters everyone wants, but LEGO can’t think of a vehicle or set to go with them. Really hoping this is a possibility in the future...

I don't see what Falconfan sees in this set, and I'm honestly kind of annoyed that he hyped it up so much that I was excited to see it. It's an ugly, blocky, poorly proportioned piece of trash that I will not be getting under any circumstances. The only saving graces from this absolute joke of a set are the figures and MODOK, who from what I can tell is more accurate to his comic appearances than the one I already have. I was internally debating whether I should get this or the tower, so I guess that decision has been decisively made.

I hope War Machine comes in another, cheaper set, because the resale price is going to be disgustingly high for him.

Please convince yourself that Tower and Hulkbuster is gonna be whack so that you won't hope for too much. Atleast you won't be disappointed this time.

I'm giving Lego the benefit of the doubt for tower since I can't see how they could mess up a simple building, but then again the design team for the Avengers game sets appear to be a group of trained monkeys and 5 year old children locked in a room with a big pile of dark blue, trans-orange and light grey Lego bricks, so maybe I'm being too hopeful still. I don't see how anybody could get excited for yet another Hulkbuster.

I hyped up a set I personally love. I love everything about this set. I think it’s a great build with great figures. I see nothing wrong with hyping up a set I love so I don’t see any reason to be annoyed by it

Avengers Tower, while it kind of looks like a bad car wash, I like that its just the iconic top of the building. Can’t wait to see someone try and extend it to make the full building. But for like $60 thats crazy. *huh*

MODOK in the Helicarrier looks nice. It can hold its own against the original and might be even better.

MCU Fury and MCU Black Widow legs in a comic/games set... whats even happening anymore.

The Helicarrier, as others have said is complete garbage. Looks like a train with rotors. The Ultimate Spider-Man Helicopter from like 2013-2014 had rotors that might’ve been better. I would say it would look better in gray but that would look even worse honestly.

Falconfan I know you’re entitled to your opinion... but you shouldn’t be. (Just joking btw, poking fun at all the hate you’re getting)

The Helicarrier itself is a little disappointing but it's on par with what we've come expect from this theme sadly. The figures are really what sells it though, very good as is the brick-built MODOK. I plan on picking it up, I'm sure-- as it always  happens-- I'll enjoy the set once I have it in hand. When it comes to the Marvel sets I've learned to set my expectations low. I'm just happy they at least nailed it with the figures. Would I like it if LEGO could go back to having great figures AND great builds like in 2016? Absolutely! Do I expect it to happen? Sadly no.

Eh, I guess the helicarrier is cool. For some reason, it looks like a really wonky version of last years quinjet. I’ll probably end up getting it unless the non 4+ avengers tower is significantly better. I’m also a little mad their reusing the Iron Man figure, seeing as I specifically bought the Iron Man Mech for that figure, but I guess the builds good too.

Is that supposed to be the same Helicarrier as the UCS one or are there multiple Helicarriers that look different from each other?

Helicarrier has different looks in all the different comics/shows/games/films/etc, I think this one's based on the game.

Same thoughts here. Helicarrier is overall pretty cool with great figures and an ok build, 4+ avengers tower is what you'd expect from a 4+ avengers tower.

I don’t blame Falcon Fan for his hype. Like I said I’m happy that people are supporting the set. I think it’s probably just me who had unrealistic expectations...

I'm hoping there's plenty of space in the interior, rather than being filled with technic pieces. Oh well, I'm going to mod it anyway since the back section is so exposed.

Posted

Sets never look their best in those computer generated spin images, so I think the Helicarrier could be a tad better once we see regular set pictures of it. From the side it looks ok, though the back cutting off is very weird, like people have said.

The rotors are just terrible, though.

It's strange with Superhero sets. Other themes which are totally kid oriented like Ninjago and now Monkie Kid consistently get amazing-looking, detailed, well-shaped vehicles, yet when it comes to Marvel it's like "here's another bike thing and a blocky truck". Really eye-catching sets in this theme are now the exception and not the norm.

Am I the only one who thinks that the helivarrier has a feature that if you roll it in the ground the rotors will spin? I don't know, it seems something LEGO would do in order to not have an interior…

How about there being not one new character? The repeats are such an unbelievable waste. It’s more of the same they’ve been pumping out for years. Nothing really new or special here. Not one thing.

The only repeats are Thor, Ironman and possibly Fury. There are New Captain Marvel, A new War Machine, and a New Black widow with arm printing. You are acting like everything is a repeat.

I get the thor and iron man are repeats and weirdly fury? But black widow, captain marvel, war machine, and modak are great and new

I've got fixed feelings about the new sets, so I'm gonna wait to see pictures before I make a final judgment.

Now someone may have already said it, but does anyone know what those yellow 1x2 plates are for in the Hellicarrier set?

Seriously, why are there so many *huh*

He meant that characters are repeats. Even DC sets got one new character, but here we didn't get ANY new ones, just another of thousands of versions of those heroes. Black Widow with arm printing is great, but like how does it really differ from other 5 versions of her? Same for Captain Marvel or War Machine.
