You all don't think Marvel's the one that asked them to make game tie-ins?

That couldn’t be possible lol. Just look at how many Endgame toys other toy companies made compared to Lego’s 4+ police station and helicopters, and how little SquareEnix toys are out there (people legit don’t even care about the game Marvel Legends figures) compared to the abundance of sets we’re getting. Even if Lego has a weird obsession with that game, at least give us Taskmaster, Ms. Marvel or Abomination, but nope, we’re stuck with that same Iron Man.

Another Hall of Armor set so soon feels a bit like a waste, I have to admit. I would’ve preferred a Disney+ set for sure. Hopefully the set does connect to the original and include some cool new armors, but I just feel like it’s an odd choice.

Huh, interesting new little tidbits, all of the sudden.
The Iron Man Armory info is completely new, right? Whereas the Avengers Tower and Hulkbuster sets were already known but have know been updated (I believe) with more info.
I'm curious about the Armory. Doubtful it's MCU and an addition to the current one, but it might get us some very nice armors nonetheless :sweet:
The Fight At Avengers Tower sounds cool as well, with its five floors and I'm excited to find out what the 2 mystery figures are! :oh:

Mitch

We did know the set existed but we didn't know what it actually was

Question: long ago we heard a rumor about an Iron Man armory within the Avengers tower, not as a separate set. Could this mean that the two sets connect to form a larger build?

Unless it comes with the MCU helmets, I really don't care about collecting the new Iron Man suits anymore. And thats coming from a collector from 2012 who has a good chunk of the suits. Even though the new torso and leg prints look nice, it's just not the same. Lego still owes us a Striker armor, which would be cool to put in this set, but we're definitely not getting that.

Ooh, that'd be a nice feature!

Huh, yeah, good point. I display mainly MCU armors as well, so even if the new ones are very cool or resembling MCU armors, if they have the newer helmet style, they wouldn't fit in my opinion.
Maybe we'll be able to swap them for seperate, BL'ed MCU helmets, if necessary.

Regarding the Armory: FalconFan shared a screenshot of Tony (and Bruce) from the Avengers game. It would be really cool if the Tony minifigure in either of the upcoming sets looks like that; longer hair, beard and maybe the shirt with shine-through Arc Reactor

I think most people got into the character of Iron Man due to Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of him in the MCU movies. Not that the comic Iron Man is not cool, but I think most casual fans would prefer the MCU Iron Man toys to the comic ones. One thing is for sure though, no one, and I mean no one, is into the SquareEnix Iron Man. His suit design is horrible and his face design is beyond bad (thank god Lego at least used the RDJ head. I hate the idea of owning a figure that resembles anything close to that game character design). We still have so many cool Iron Man armors from the MCU and comics that are not even close to being released, but Lego keeps giving us the worst Iron Man design ever. They give Harry Potter and Star Wars fans what they want, yet they keep failing the Marvel fans. If the rumors are true, we'll be getting our 4th or 5th SquareEnix Iron Man with these summer sets, the most out of all Iron Man variants. Just thinking about this makes me frustrated and disappointed.

LEGO owes you nothing?

This second Armoury sounds very awesome. I can’t wait to see what other armours we will get.

From what I've seen so far I'm not a fan. Doesn't anyone think it's weird how Ms Marvel is one of the main characters in the game but not in any of these sets?

I hope it's good but I'm not expecting much, so far 2020 has been one of the worst years in this themes lifespan.

In my opinion, 2019 was much worse. A bunch of vehicles, repeats, and extremely inaccurate and overpriced (Looking at you, compound) Endgame sets.

The helmet is the worst part in my opinion, it looks like Tony stuffed something in his mouth.

While the Endgame wave wasn't great the year overall wasn't horrible, especially the FFH sets were really good. So far the only 2020 sets I like are the Captain Marvel polybag and the BW set, the rest is either meh (Venom rex and Iron Man mech) or bad.

The FFH sets were fantastic except the Stark jet. Waste of a set slot, none of the figures are exclusive anymore.

Well, that's definitely good news: a smaller set with hopefully new armors!

I see three possible scenarios: MCU armors with the old helmet; Game armors with the new helmet; or comic armors with the new helmet (least likely, but I think it would be nice).

At this price point, I expect 4 minifigs at the best case scenario. But I doubt Lego will make a Marvel set without a villain (the Hall of armour had outriders...). So I assume an AIM agent, two armors and Tony (or three armors and no Tony).

You might be right, it is a possiblity.

I’ll say this, if this is really a MCU set, I wouldn’t mind if they throw in the Outriders again. Unlike AIM soldiers, the Outrider minifig in my opinion is at least cool. Best case scenario would be to include armors “teased” in last year’s HOA set.

Tbh, I liked last year’s sets better. The FFH sets were pretty sick and I at least cared about the variants of characters I was getting for Endgame (yes I know, quantum suits were bland but still better than SquareEnix long hair Tony).

On the same page, where the super mario names appeared, there is the set 76167 Iron Man Armory. I don't know if I translated wrong, but what could that be.

34 minutes ago, Ashnflash released a video about the Iron Man Hall of Armor Expansion pack. So it's happening. I actually liked the Iron Man Hall of Armor. However, We don't need another one. This is a waste of a set.

I’ve said this a million times and I will say it again. I’m sick and tired of the abundance of SquareEnix sets out there. I don’t like the game’s designs, and I have no idea why LEGO is deciding to make as many sets as possible out of a game that people are not even that excited for. Sure, LEGO can’t make MCU sets forever, but at least make sure we get Disney+ sets or give us new comic book variants instead of repeats of that ugly game Iron Man design. One of him is enough :(

The avengers game sets really suck. I haven't bought any of them except the Iron man mech and that was only for the figure. But now I understand that they're repeating the figure again and again. Just like the Mark 50.

Lol if they want remakes, why not make another bridge battle with new figs?

That would be amazing. With a movie-accurate red and black Spiderman and a special effect suit Mysterio and some movie-accurate white and green Edith drones.

The AIM agents really are this year‘s Outriders, aren‘t they?  I don‘t mind their inclusion, given they’re the main mooks in the game, but it‘d be nice to see at least one brand new character in the two upcoming waves :look: Granted, I can‘t think of any characters confirmed to appear in the game we‘ve never seen in LEGO form before, but there has to be at least one, right?

The outriders were cool. The AIM agents are not. Specifically, because they're not in the MCU.

Yeah, so long as the colors are the same as previous helmets and armors, thats a good solution.

My bad, I didn't mean to sound entitled. I just meant that since Lego made a sticker of the Striker armor in the original HoA, it would be cool to have it in this set.

As for Ashnflash's video, he also said that his source said Tony Stark's hot rod is coming in the set. Very interested to see what happens.

I saw that too. It would be a dream come true if that’s legit

Making a lot of assumptions there. I actually kinda like the game design and have absolutely zero issue with character designs for the Avengers in general. Seriously, what were people expecting? Did you think they were going to recreate the movie actors for a game that is not and was never meant to be MCU based? I just don't get the hate for the game designs. It's like complaining that the cartoons don't look and sound like the movies when they were never meant to. As far as the figures go, I'm beyond sick of the MCU helmet. If the set is meant to be MCU-based(which it more than likely is not) then yes they should use the MCU helmet design. Personally I hope it's for the game so we can get a variety of suits from the game.

I don't think the character designs are the main issue for people, not for me at least. It's the game itself

I'm going to have to disagree with this too. I'm beyond sick of the Outriders too. To me they look awful, they are a poor representation of the source material, both the comics and the films, not to mention they're just not at all interesting or important. At least with the AIM soldiers they appear relatively accurate to the game and are more desirable because AIM is such a massive presence in all things Marvel(except the MCU where they've so far squandered that potential).

I'm glad you like the game designs. I don't like the game Iron Man design not because it's not MCU, but because it, in my opinion, doesn't fit my expectations of a cool Iron Man, comic or MCU.

What the hell Lego? Another Iron Man set? I am so tired if this theme, especially since next MCU sets are coming either in October or January.

You want a Falcon and The Winter Soldier set? No, we'll give you another Iron Man set, cause that's what you want, right?

It's gonna go the way DC did. First Batman and Justice League, then Batman alone. Why does he have to appear in every single set?

I feel that pain... the excitement upon hearing the possibility of finally getting a Zemo... and that dream is now gone
