If this rumour is true it could actually include Obadiah Stane / Iron Monger. Hey, you're right! I remember that rumor. Wouldn't expect anything though, the inclusion of the hot rod and maybe an early armor or 2 would be enough to loosly base it off the movie, even if Game Iron Man and an AIM agent show up. 4 hours ago, Quicksilver838 said: Bet it'll be angry clone head on Bruce Wayne's body I was going to point out stane has a beard, but so does happy hogan and we all saw what his figure was :/ 50 minutes ago, Legocity2713 said: Maybe if they use the Sanctum Sanctorum window piece as the torso so you can seat Iron Man inside it would look good, albeit wide. Using the usual Hulkbuster half-circle head piece might look odd with it though. I just hope it doesn't end up looking like one of those bodybuilders who are wide but have a weird gut with abs on it. As a head though the 6x6 window would look awful. That said, I don't think they've made a better Hulkbuster than the first one. What a set that was. Even the UCS one wasn't great, its proportions were more akin to an actual Iron Man suit. looking at the comic hulkbusters, I could totally see the 6x6 working for some of the earlier ones. Of course, those designs themselves look ridiculous, but then again we're talking about a guy who built a flying robot suit in a cave from a box of scraps.
JediJosh Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 If the new set with Falcon and Black Widow is supposed to be coming out in June, shouldn't we have seen pictures of it by now?

mgetz Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 the hall of armors only being 29.99 seems to me that there wont be many minifigs maybe 3 at most which is kind of upsetting

lego_guyon02 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 A few $30 Marvel sets had 4 figures but the majority had 3

Those monkey kid sets have so much effort put into them, but they're pricey as heck. I would say marvel's the antithesis of that, but the prices aren't good for marvel sets either. 5 hours ago, Falconfan1414 said: 4 seems right Good to hear confirmation. I could see it going 2 ways: Game iron man, aim agent, 2 armors. Tony Stark, Obidiah Stane, 2 armors. Honestly as long as we get 1 or 2 new suits I'll be happy.

Because its a Hall of Armor expansion I hope it lives up to the name and has like 3 armors and 1 cool non-AIM Agent villain. And since FalconFan said people should be happy with it I hope that means its MCU helmets with maybe 1 comic helmet for an armor that could use it (like the MK 40 Shotgun Armor). Maybe the builds could be the rumored hot rod Tony has and 4 slots for the suits. It also be would be awesome if we got a MK 85 repeat in the set the same way the MK 50 was repeated in the original Hall, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that or anything else. With Lego doing so much in recent years (building the China factor, the Lego House in Billund, the soon-to-be opened NY Legoland, etc.) they need to pass on the cost to the consumer somehow so they do it with every theme, but especially ones that they know sell imo (City, CMF, Superheroes, etc.). Monkie Kid also had a lot of R&D (like Mario) to get it ready for the Chinese Market, so that might have something to do with it. Sorry for the random aside on Lego's finances.
SpiderJazz Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Calling it right here right now, one of them could be Mark 2, Mark 25 (Striker) and Mark 35 (Red Snapper) as previously hinted in the set. No confirmation, just a guess.

What does it being a hall of armor expansion have to do with a new villian? I mean, stane's possible but unless you mean that I don't see any correlation, the last one just had some outriders. Also, it could likely have 3 armors, but I'm guessing it'll be the Game armor as one with 2 new armors.

If we get another game iron man I'm gonna be sick. It's the same thing as mark 50. Twice was okay. But lego had to do it 3 times. It would be amazing with a regular Tony Stark and Obidiah Stane, with one new armor. But I remember saying there should be two or three types of Iron man suits in the game wave and I remember how that turned out so I'll just be happy with either Tony Stark or a new suit. My expectations aren't very high. If we know lego they're probably going to have it all repeats.

2lazeetomakeaname Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 Why are you guys so negative about this set? I get that LEGO Marvel isn't the best theme sometimes, but last years hall of armor was great, especially the figures. And since its an expansion and has a hot rod, im sure its mcu based

Given all Avengers sets are based on/inspired by the game there's a good chance this HoA add-on is as well. And people are also annoyed at this set for basically ruining our chances at a FatWS set Edited May 18, 2020 by Guyon2002

I just meant that because it is a Hall of Armor expansion set, I want more armors to be included than any other figures, such as villains or civilians, in the set. A new villain is definitely possible and welcome especially if its someone long awaited from Phase I like Iron Monger

January wave was a joke, such an awful wave, and with 2 sets for Summer wave revealed it doesn't seem like it's getting better (minfigures are better but it's not like minifigs make a set). Without MCU sets this theme is becoming so bad and useless. I wonder if by the end of the year I will be able to make a TOP 3 of best 2020 Marvel sets, because right now I can make TOP 1 best set and like TOP 15 worst sets.

Yeah, the negativity in this thread is a bit overbearing at times. For a forum dedicated to a construction toy, there sometimes is a distinctive lack of constructive criticism
CF Mitch Posted May 18, 2020 Posted May 18, 2020 I noticed a few messages from people saying "it is an expansion of the hall of armor" but we don't actually know that for sure yet, do we? As far as I'm concerned, nothing's confirmed yet (unless I missed something ). It can be an expansion including MCU armors (be it older ones or more recent ones) or it can be comic styled armors or based on an animated series (most likely Avengers Assemble). It can still go any which way, I believe. Regards, Mitch
