This might not be the ideal example for this, because there problem is a bit more complicated than it seemed, made clear by adding more pictures later on. I would have liked this topic if it was a WIP MOC thread, with the question added at the end. That way there would be a nice benefit for the creator AND the people reading this.

My problem with everyone creating single question threads that usually die after very few replies is that it pollutes the page causing great MOCs that deserve lots of attention being flushed off the first page really fast. Also this makes it less fun to scroll back and look for cool old MOCs, because there is a lot of that stuff in between...Thats all I am sayin.

I have to agree. But, my solution would be to have a dedicated Builder's Block thread, that could be stickied, and then you have only one question thread which would keep the forum cleaner, and make it easier to find solutions.

I'd suggest rather a sub-forum, as separate questions should be in separate topics, so that responses to one question wouldn't drown out other questions and so that responses wouldn't get mixed up.

Other than that, I don't see these single-question threads as a huge problem, considering the general activity of these forums. If there were a bit more activity, it could become a problem though.

Just change the damn angles a little and make it sturdy instead. If thats that easy then you wouldn't have to make a new topic. Please people, figure stuff out yourself instead of creating a new topic for every little bump in your road. Also, if you really have to ask, please do it in a topic it fits in, instead of creating a new one right away. :damn:

Rant over, please dont get offended, but stuff like this is annoying, and I know I am not the only one thinking that way.

Please tone it done a notch or two. And use the report button if you think a user is doing something wrong.

A single topic with different questions going on will cause different problems. At least with a dedicated topic, you can also search for a dedicated problem (and Google will find it easier too). One suggestion would be to give the topic a more descriptive title.

Let's end the debate about it. We can use the General discussion topic to continue this conversation.

Edit: I have created a dedicated topic for building help. Let's see how this develops.

I agree that I went a little overboard on this one, there have been some dumb things I was trying to point at, but turned out to not be one of them. I'm sorry. I tried to explain my reasoning, but I am at fault here, and I am not denying that. Sorry :sceptic:

Apologies accepted!
