I don't think anyone here would say that FBTB is full of immature mean people. It is said though that a few bad apples spoil the bunch. I know many people who post to FBTB and they are good people. It is known though that some are not-so-good. Take it to mean that as far as Languages is concerned Eurobricks is better than the other forums out their. This includes any that he did not mention. I must say that EB is quite a site. Not perfect but it is fun and friendly with many good people and the most current and up-to-date news about LEGO. Well done admins, mods, and fellow members! Quote

My point is that I'm convinced that it's totally possible to praise your own staff/website without bashing the others. Having my "home" on FBTB, it's sad to see what some members (and staff members) here have posted about FBTB through the years. And that is one of the major reasons why I don't post here much myself. Having said that, I've talked to both Jipay (a while ago) and DoubleT (recently) about this, so they know perfectly well what I'm talking about. The Middleman Posted July 1, 2005 Posted July 1, 2005 Joual, I apologize if it seems like we're putting down other websites, but I assure you we do not condone this... certain members have long-standing grudges with FBTB, and yes, sometimes an unfriendly comment about them slips by us. However, I'm fairly certain none of our mod team has ever said something actually malevolent about FBTB (maybe a joke here or there). The same thing would happen at FBTB about us if there was anything about our forum to criticize other than the aforementioned occassional joke and the leaks we provide. It's unfortunate that there's such animosity between our communities, but as FBTB has the 'noble' Respect The Brick policy (which is a rather misleading name... we respect the brick as well, but in a different way - promotion) and Eurobricks is the news hub for leaked LEGO information, I suppose certain differences are inevitable. I hope this all clears up soon. It's not good to have this happen, and I don't think a simple 'Eurobricks is better than FBTB' post in the Eurobricks forum is worth starting an inter-forum argument. I assume that you know what people are posting here, so I won't get into details. (But if you want them, send me a PM, since I'm not interested in talking too much about this in public). ed_dotcom: I can assure you that some of the bad apples are on their way out of there. But it's a fine line to walk. If you cut people some slack, you're a lazy admin/webmaster. If you boot them, you're immediately running things in a "nazi style". Just like all other websites, FBTB is consistantly looking for the balance between those two. Quote

That's because your IP address must have been banned. This means that you're most likely a member that was banned, then tried to re-register. Quote
