So I've been investigating the suspension of the real A60H, and it turns out the rear axles don't seem to be sprung, but pendular, which I find surprising. I can't find any information about the front axle, but I feel it would make sense for the real thing to have it sprung.

Front axle has hydraulic suspension, rear axle: 0:14

It's pretty consistent with what's on the box.

I tend to agree, I just find it weird as there's no rationale for producing something so ugly.

The simpler explanation really would be assembly error, rather than assuming a bad design no?

Or is this just now standard AFOL opinion on Lego?  Pretty much everything Lego produce is now hated here.

Anyway, the 42030 B model had a much more sophisticated cab shape, with the correct backwards-sloping rake to the windshield.

Looks a jolly sight better than anything I could ever come up with.

Same.

I've been saying it and I'll say it again, aside from the weird proportions, the designer's done a fantastic job creating a model with clean aesthetics

Theres a youtube video dedicated to the suspension, i posted it previously and someone else has also posted it since.. if you've not seen it, its worth a watch. There's some additional links between the back axles. Really hope they're replicated it..

I can't find the video you linked. Could you link it again?

Ah yes, I remember that. I do hope they include the panhard rods, that'd be really nice. I really doubt we'll see sprung/hydro suspension since the A60H doesn't have it

Reminds me of Unimog suspension a bit. Could be a good way to reintroduce the ball joints.

Yes, that will be best and simplest solution for such vehicle, at lest for front axle

The rest of it looks rad to me.  Just the windscreen rake is so weirdly wrong.  Anyway, it's not causing the sky to fall imho, Lego is changeable.  Just weird.

Unrelated, did I miss the introduction of a new stronger universal joint somewhere?  Or is there a stronger CV now?  There'll be at least one carrying drivetrain through the center articulation joint.  Standard universal won't last long, even if the hub reduction is high.

42099 came with a new CV joint that handles higher torque and tighter angles.

I think the shape (height) of the cab is mostly defined by what appears to be the smart hub inside. So a delibarate design choice in favor of playability IMHO.

I found this on youtube.

That's just the same picture slowly zoomed in and frozen for 2 minutes.

Nothing new people.

You may want to delete it as it mislead people into thinking there is sth worth watching in there....

But it looks (on my mobile phone) that tires are smaller than Unimog tires or mudguards are a bit bigger than ones from Land Rover defender?

It's the fourth flagship with those tires, but the first one that uses six of them

You just read my mind

And also first model in technic(maybe?) use large sprocket but don't include any track piece.

Rims should be black with inner yellow sprockets, so the look could be improved (in real model the rims are much smaller compared to the tyre size)

If we get a B-model, we may get the Dumb Truck:

Exactly! I also hope for R100E as the B-model. I guess there are all components for this model except of so many orange handles.

'cause it is Control+, there is no B-model for this set. We are lucky if 42112 and 42113 has one...

It will be B-model when we konw the inventory because somebody will do it, with so many pieces I think it would be easy and more than one version.
